I was wondering if anyone might be willing to make a mod to set all non-respawning NPCs to "protected" so that they won't get killed by various spawns from Deadly Dragons and other dangerous mods.

Ah I see. I guess my CTD issue isn't due to my SKSE not matching up with the patch... Time to sort through my new mods.

I meant the 1.9.32 beta patch.

For some reason when I go to the "betas" tab of Skyrim's properties in steam I only see two options. One is "Opt-out" and the other is "japantutest-", which requires a password. Am I doing something wrong or is Steam denying me beta access for some reason?

Hi. I was looking around for any info on exactly how much bigger the Official HD pack textures are compared to vanilla. I find that the HD pack textures look atrocious for the amount of space they take up with some textures being 2K resolution or more. I use the Texture Pack Combiner at the moment and I've only been leaving the HD pack active to cover the few textures that the TPC doesn't cover. I was wondering if it would be worth using the Ordenador Texture Optimizer to cut the HD pack's textures to half resolution or if that would just result in the same as vanilla textures.

Lately I've been thinking that since I've seen most of what Skyrim's world has to offer I would spice up my next playthrough by adding somewhere between 5-10 houses or random farms as well as 2-3 town mods so that there is some new content to explore and appreciate. What level of impact do house and game world addition mods have in terms of performance and stability? Keep in mind the houses I'm looking at range from tiny cottages like Okiir's Hunting Cabin to massive mansions like Vjerkell Castle or Halls of Dovahndor. Some of them are even totally new world spaces like the Alchemist's Hidden Valley.

I use Ely's Uncapper and I like to play the game sort of like an MMO where I treat the lower levels like a training mode and once I complete the main quest I like turning the difficulty up to 11 via. mods once I'm max level. The problem is a lot of my skills are too far behind to even consider using at that point. I can't train skills like heavy/light armor or block late game without cheating through the console or turning difficulty down. I'd like a mod that removes the upper limit on the number of times you can train per level while also letting master level trainers let you train to level 199(which is what I use the uncapper for since I've been told that's the "safest" non-buggy uncapped level limit).

Thanks for the reply. I had no idea my load order was wonky. I had figured that if I put graphical enhancements near the end, gameplay changes in the middle, and armors/items and bug fixes at the top that it would work out best but BOSS changed my load order immensely. The list now looks sort of messy from an organizational standpoint but judging from the testimonials on the BOSS Nexus page it works out well. I'll try disabling Warzones and see if it helps. I absolutely adore the mod so if that's the problem then I'll be a bit sad but whatever. If your computer can't handle it then mine definitely can't. (i7 [email protected], 6GB RAM, GTX 560 1GB, and a regular WD HDD) One thing I noticed is that the Warzones ESM had a lot of "Dirty Edits" when I ran BOSS. I have no idea what that means but it might have something to do with the freezes.

Almost forgot.. I'm using hialgoboost and superb ENB as well.

I've started playing skyrim again after taking a long break from the game. I've completely deleted all my previous saves and started a fresh new mod loadout with between 100-150 mods at the moment. The load order and actual mods function perfectly so far and I've used optimizer textures to downscale all HD textures to x1024 since I only have a GTX560 1GB card and 6GB system RAM. I've monitored my ram usage in-game and while I used to max out on RAM before downscaling my HD textures with the optimized I now rarely get above 90% RAM use, which to my knowledge is perfect since there is no stuttering and not much untapped potential. I have been noticing that during action heavy moments in the game my screen freezes and I am forced to CTRL+ALT+DEL out. I have no idea why this is happening and so far I've encountered the problem 3 times. The first time was when I was in fresh new game's character creation(I have the new Race Menu mod) screen and cycled through the options rapidly. The second time was when I was inside Helgen Keep and the screen froze in the middle of the initial first encounter with the two opposing enemies in the first circular room. The third time was when I was in Whiterun attempting to use the forge and I cycled down in the crafting screen a bit quickly and the game screen froze again. All three times the game music continued to play but I was unable to perform any action and the actual visual screen was completely frozen and the game did not resume for a little over two minutes(at which point I terminated TESV.exe)

Anyone know of a mod that does anything even remotely similar to this already?

I fixed this issue ages ago by playing with SBW(Simple Borderless Window). Later on I tweaked my ini setting and when I accidentally launched my game WITHOUT SBW the bug was still somehow gone. I think it has something to do with certain ini settings messing up in full screen mode. I'd suggest a clean ini profile or SBW to fix this.

I dislike children being in the game because they pretty much all look ugly/unrealistic. I also find that they're annoying. It would be nice to have a mod that changes all children into young adult models that are downscaled in size/height. It would also be great if the mod would use whatever skeleton/mesh/texture mods you have for adults so that they wouldn't look terrible.

Yeah my FPS was a solid 30 because I also have it capped at 30FPS. Even if I put my character next to a wall and tried to swing it wouldn't work unless I held the button down. I'm running on a decent comp. as well with a GTX 560 Ti and an i7 OC'd to 4.0ghz

I loaded up skyrim for the first time in a month+ and noticed some weird melee attack lag. It appears that swift mouse clicks aren't triggering attacks. My character swings 0% of the time if I simply click once with my left mouse button. My character swings 100% of the time if I hold the mouse button down for a short time. This is incredibly annoying because I'm forced to power attack half the time just to get my character to swing. This wasn't happening when I played last time with patch 1.3 and I haven't installed any mods that would effect my melee attacks at all. I'll post a video of it if people don't know what I'm talking about.

I absolutely hate Nazeem. He ruins the game because he makes me want to kill him or leave Whiterun. "Get to the cloud district often? Wait.. What am I saying? Of course you don't" -> Kill Nazeem f*** the bounty. I wish there were a mod to replace the lines he has that address the Dragonborn. I understand he's the game's rich snob but it seems unrealistic for some random farm owner to talk down a the Dragonborn like that even after being made Thane or killing Alduin. Right now all his lines might as well be replaced with "I bask in the smell of my own farts."

Oo I just used this on Mjoll the Lioness and she gives me quests now but still says "stay away from me". Do you know of a way to reset an NPC to their default state using some type of command like this?

IDK what you guys are talking about with frosts being difficult. I'm guessing it's because I'm Nord but Frost Dragons are free kills to me. They hardly ever land a single attack on me since I just snipe them with a bow when they get close and once they start getting near melee range I switch to sword-n-board or dual wield and beat the crap out of their sides while they flop around without touching me. Frost Breath seems very weak since the one time I might miss an Unrelenting Force interrupt I hardly take more than a third of my health in damage. I have 200 stamina so I might just be unintentionally built to counter Frosts. I just got stamina so I could run without buying a horse lol(never owned one).

Did some research. Does anyone know the code needed to reset Mjoll to her default state? It seems a certain console command might work.

I made the stupid mistake of telling Mjoll "I'm looking to join the thieves guild" and now she won't talk to me. Is there ANY way to get her to talk to me like she's supposed to? I don't care if the fix involves a mod or a set of console commands. I feel like my entire save is ruined because of this.
