  1. @brotha1 another useful and informative post, go start your own thread, this is for people trying to fix the problem :wallbash:
  2. "Exiting to windows is a crash in my opinion, it might not be a sever as some of you people are having but the simptoms are the same." It's *symptoms*
  3. although you are right Pumper, try and say it in a nice, constructive way (to avoid the flames).
  4. Does anyone actually READ my posts :wallbash:
  5. i've said befor, i'm using a radeon X1950pro (256 gddr3) and it runs great for hours so it's not a preformance issue . Underclocking your cards and processors will not help because its not an overheating issue. i a previous post i asked for you guys to check the windows event viewer, this is my crash info: - System - Provider [ Name] Windows Error Reporting - EventID 1001 [ Qualifiers] 0 Level 4 Task 0 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2011-11-13T21:58:25.000000000Z EventRecordID 13892 Channel Application Computer MASTER-PC Security - EventData 0 LiveKernelEvent Not available 0 C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\WATCHDOG\WD-20111112-2211.dmp C:\Windows\Temp\WER-24897-0.sysdata.xml C:\Windows\Temp\WER7678.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\Kernel_0_0_cab_02147695 0 98b69ca0-0e42-11e1-b9cf-20cf30c177b1 6 ok can you guys please check your event viewers after a crash and look at the details, see if there is a correlation.
  6. don't know if you guys have done this yet but check the windows event viewer - right click "computer" and select manage then go to event viewer in the left margin > windows logs > Applications and look for the windows error report around the time of the crash select one and view the results in the panel below. and research the seemingly random numbers :)
  7. ah, i have a different interface (for a number of good reasons) left slidy and un-check box ;)
  8. hey Zolexus first go here clicky open the catalyst controll centre advanced (type CCC in start menue search box, go to 3D options and have a look set everything to application defined or the equiv. turn off Catalyst A.I and problems just post
  9. Nvidia cards are also experiencing these problems too.
  10. 3 days no crash since (including a 12 our straight run) i turned off the Catalyst A.I set all CCC settings to application using the default med settings on the launcher setup (use the detected settings) unlocked the game to use more than 2gb of ram (making sure to back-up the launcher) my problem i think stemmed from the catalyst a.i and the ram unlock so maybe the game is trying to page too much to too little RAM? :teehee: flames removed;point made
  11. The crashes have nothing to do with location.
  12. your gpu is probably fine, set all back to defaults, roll back drivers etc. as an experiment, (i have an old x1950 pro 256mb) I set my fan throttle points to hit 100% at 50*C. I have been playing on medium settings with all anti analysing turned off (game and CCC) including FXAA for 3 hours cpu temp: steady 31*C mb temp: steady 26*C gpu temp: 60*C - 63*C all CCC settings either off or app defined, A.I off now, this doesn't look amazing, but it is playable and with you lot having big chunky hd range you should be able to play on higher settings but with the AAoff etc. (no idea about nvidia cards srry)
