  1. I'm transitioning from console to PC, so I'm a bit green when it comes to modding and and im sure ill be erasing loads of mods till i find the right combination for my playstyle. Since i can damage my ssd if i erase files i was thinking of finding the right combination on HDD then transfering over to SSD when im done. Is there any easy way to do this, or is it even possible at all since ill be buying the game on steam? Also, is it worth it? Skyrim was horribly slow on the ps3 but will it still be this bad on a new pc? My rig in short, will post in more detail if need be: Cpu: i7 6700k Ram: g.skill trident z 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 3200mhz Graphic card: Asus r9 390 8gb strix OC Motherboard: Asrock z170 pro 4 As i said, im new to the PC and also to forums! So if im doing anything wrong, please correct me. Many Thanks, in advance:)
  2. Thank you ElioraArin, I'll make the thread hopefully ill get the same great response ive just gotten from you guys. Thanks a lot, I'll check those mods out, hopefully my pc should be running by next week :) Good advice Versispellis, ill be sure to check the comments and maybe I'll find some on the guides ive found. I didn't know that the guides weren't that reliable. I found one that seems recent and looks quite detailed, but I'll try to pick my own mods and just use it to help out with the programs and the actual jist of modding. Ill try to keep to simple mods for now then try to more intensive ones, i hope i get used to this as its quite different to console gaming. I'll try my best bben46, I'm not really that patient but im picking a course in programming so better get used to these things, and maybe in the future ill start building my own mods :) i read many guides but none have mentioned finishing helgen, thanks for this tip you probably just saved me a lot of time swearing haha! Thanks for the link to your blog and for the advice :D
  3. I've read about the mod organizer and i found a few tutorials that should help me out with it, thanks a lot. I doubt ill be trying out mods that weren't recommended in a guide at first but ill make sure to remember this, there are so many mods i dont know where to start lol. Also, i was thinking of moving skyrim to my ssd when i figure out which mods work best since its bad to erase files on the ssd. Do you play on hdd? Is it worth it to move to ssd? since i know this could be a bit of a pain to get things running again. I'm not sure about loading times on hdd using a recent PC but on the ps3 they were horrible. Thanks for taking the time to help me out :)
  4. So I'll be converting to PC from the ps4 very soon and i would like to start with a heavily modded (graphics and maybe some immersion only at the moment) skyrim since the ps3 version was kinda rubbish. Trouble is I've been finding many guides mentioning different mods and i have no idea which would work best together, especially since most of these guides aren't recent. My rig in short, will post in more detail if need be: Cpu: i7 6700k Ram: g.skill trident z 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 3200mhz Graphic card: Asus r9 390 8gb strix OC Motherboard: Asrock z170 pro 4 Unfortunately can't afford 4k at the moment, so ill be using a 40inch 1080 samsung tv which will probably cap my frames to 60, still haven't confirmed this yet though. This is my first time posting in forums so please if theres anything I'm not doing right correct me :) thanks a lot in advance!
