Hey just thaught I would let you know that i poped this question on the realistic lighting page and this is what one of the mod autors had to say... "@ Demonik420 The problem you are seeing is a limitation with the game engine when there are too many lights casting in the same area and this limit is about 4 lights. This limitation is evident even on vanilla Skyrim in MANY places. Any mod that alters lighting range/radius will probably make this effect worse as many lights are encroaching on one another. We have added numerous lights with 4.0 (3.4a doesn't alter lighting radius or lighting count - so that issue you see is from vanilla WoW or from torch mods) and try our best to minimize flickering in normal play without a torch, but in some instances it is just unavoidable. There are some areas in 4.0 that this still occurs such as Markarth and Whiterun and no matter what we try to do - when a torch or magelight is out the flickering occurs. These issues also happen with other games that use the same engine, such as fallout and oblivion." So i am guessing that it is a problem with the engine that cannot be fixed at this time from what i understand.. kinda sucks but its good to know that this is not just some mod creating the problem.

I have a huge problem and if anyone can help please let me know... my characters positions all all screwed up.. for example when I aim my bow my character goes way off position. like when I aim up high she goes WAY to high and way higher than where my crosshair is and same thing when I aim down she goes way below the crosshair and looks wonky also the strange thing is the arrows seem to fire in the right position still (they seem to fire where the crosshair is aimed.. when i try to aim slightly up at a dragon she aims directly up into the sky. :(. also sometimes when I have a sword or torch equipped they go off screen or go right into the middle on my screen. its almost as if shes become detached from the aiming points.. can someone please help me :(

Has none else had this problem? I saw a fix written on a mod page but wasnt having the problem!!! has anyone seen that or ever heard of this?!

Basically it is effecting light sources such as braziers and torches. sometimes outside sometimes inside. It even effects the loading screen.. when I spin an object around sometimes there is a certain angle that the lighting goes dark and the item goes black and then when its spun past that angle it returns. however the strange thing is if I spin it a few more times then it may fix itself or the spot where it darkens may change. as for light sources when I'm in caves it usually my light spell that will fail to light up 1 or two surfaces but will still light up the rest. and then when I move around those areas will turn off and on again and flicker a bit. When I am outside usually I will be walking towards a building and it will look strangely dark then as I get closer it lights itself up (but I mean really close and yes my lighting and spec fades are all the way up) and then if I say turn to the left slightly once I'm close to the light source it will turn off again then as I turn back to look at it it turns back on or visa versa. YES i HAVE some mods and I have modified the skyrim prefs ini Its hard to say whats doing it I just wondered if anyone had had the same problem. I will try deactivating the shadow striping mod atleast. as far as changing the ini I don't know what to change back that would affect this.

Hey there nexus I am having a problem with light sources in my game. I actually saw something written about it on a mod page but it was before I had experienced the problem and I can for the life of me find where the heck it was. Basically the light sources in my game are having problems.. whenever I angle the camera a certain way or walk closer or further away or move in any way some light sources around me seem to turn on or off and on again or whatever.. there is no constant variable it seems. Its like lights just bug out and start turning on and off all around me whenever I move or move the camera.. It doesn't always happen but it does most of the time. Also I was told that this might be because of a failing gpu if I am experiencing it in all games HOWEVER it is only happening to me in skyrim!!! If anyone knows a solution please help me. this sucks.. cant have the mods they cause ctd's ... cant delete the mods it causes save game bloat.. what the hell, wish these mods didnt have scripts embedded into saves that we cant delete.. its a real pain in the ass

lmfao!!! FIXED IT!!!! thank god.. I've been screwing around with mods and such for the hole day tryin to figure this out then i read my boss just for the notes.. cause im pretty savvy with load orders already AND I FIGURE IT OUT.. it was the last mod i suspected.. Sounds of Skyrim.. I really hope he fixes this soon.. boos said to beware cause it was causeing a LOT of problems and just wanted to post this so everyone would know if they have this problem

Hey guys wondering if anyone knows a solution or a cause to this problem... I seem to have reached a point in my game where it CTD's at a certain game time no matter what I do, Im wondering if this is mod related or if anyone has any ideas.. basically no matter how far back i go in my saves it crashes at the same date in skyrim.. for exaple in my current save if I wait 24 hours it CTD's on the 25th hour if i go to wait a second time. I had some saves that were further along and went back to try and fix it. In my older saves that were further along i kept getting a CTD but i never realized that I was getting it on the exact same date and hour until I went back to erlier saves and waited until that time. So in other words I cannot get past a certain time in my game weather I am playing it or sleeping during it or waiting during it.. Could this somehow be connected with some area re spawning or could it be some new mod that didnt kick in for a days time? anyone have any ideas?!?! Im really frustrated with skyrim I have had to fix so many problems in the past. If anyone is having this problem or knows whats going on please let me know asap... I CANT PLAY MY FAVORITE GAME :(:(:(

BY THE WAY i fixed this a long time ago IT WAS SAVE FILE BLOATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all i did was look into my saves and saw where they started getting bigger and i deleted all the new ones and shsut off all autosaving and then started from where it all went wrong. just thaught id reply for anyone else having this problem

ya this is terrible i wish there was a way to fix this because my game is completely unplayable now as it lags for minutes at a time i am getting sick of it as i love to play skyrim every day and now i cant :( i wish there was a fix for this :'(

i posted this in the mdos forum and i am sorry i probably should have posted it here.. any help would be fantastic :) hey everyone i am having a problem with my game.. its always run perfectly fine since it was released. however lately and without any change to the mods i am using it has started to have lag spikes.. basically there is a saved game that i have from a while ago and when i load that game it is completely lag spike free.. but as i continue to play on from that point in my game after about an hour it starts.. it begins with a spike that will only last about a millisecond and it only happens every several minutes.. but as i continue to play it gets progressively worse. it starts happening more frequently and last for much longer periods. for example at the point im at right now its degraded into a spike every half minute or so that lasts around 5 to 6 seconds.. and keep in mind that when i go back to my save file that had no lag and start playing again it's fine.. there is no lag whatsoever again until about an hour or two after ive been playing and no matter how many times i reinstall the game and all mods or how many times I reboot or w/e that save file is always no lag and as i load saves from that point on they are in the same condition that they were in when i was playing. one in the middle will have barley any lag but my newest save will have the almost unplayable frequency of lag spikes. i really need some help because it has never acted like this befor and its not that my card is getting to hot as i monitor my temps and those games will lag the same frequency on a cold boot or after a few hours of play.. it is almost as if the games i am playing are degrading over time and staying that way and i have played from my lag free save and a bit further back like 3 times with things switched around to try and find a cause so i hav played the same 4 to 5 hours of the game over 3 times and still cant figure it out.. i really need some help and thanks for any imput :D. p.s keep in mind also that i played for months with the same mod setup with no troubles whatsoever. specs: nvidia gforce gtx 580 superclocked amd 975 B.E. overclocked to 4.2 ghz 16 gig corsair ram black edition TB hardrive main mods: SuperBENB (with my own custom realistic lighting .ini file) and DOF CBBE slim edition CoverWomen and a few other minor mods ask me if you need my full list.
