(Apologies if this is in the wrong place!) I'm sure this is a topic that has been dredged up from the deep time and time again, but I figured I'd give it a shot and ask! I've seen a few tutorials for porting armor for Skyrim to Fallout 4, but not hair. I want to convert a hair from a particular pack, but I will not be posting it; I just want it for private use. The thing is, I have never done something like this before, so if anyone has some good instructions on how to do so, I'd be very grateful! If all else fails, if anyone would be willing to convert the hair for me, send me a message. Otherwise, enlighten me with your wisdom!

So I'm using http://tinyurl.com/m4v4v26 <- this tutorial to make a standalone follower. And things are mostly good. I've made a follower out of my current character, who uses the Epic Elf race -> http://tinyurl.com/l3de944 I managed to get it to work by using the files from the Epic Elves race. I've been able to make her look exactly like my current character. But the issue now is that the character depends on the Epic Elves ESP file to keep this look (this assumption is just from the Epic Elves ESM that I made to make it compatible with my game being in the list of ESPs and ESMs the plugin uses), AND her hands and body are missing. You can't tell that her body textures are missing if you have her in armor, but I've only tested it with mage robes. She is still missing her hands, however. So my questions are if there is any way to make my follorwer not dependent on the race esp but still retain her look, and to return her missing hands? Thanks~!

Place this in that box in the main forums window and hit enter (armors for any body type) Kitty. I did try that before, but nothing resembling what I saw came up. But I just tried again at your suggestion, and I found the mod in question. I guess I just didn't see it during my first search. Thanks Kitty.

A few days ago, I saw a mod that let you use armors for any body type, as the mod would change your body type according to the armor you equipped. But I cannot find it anywhere on the nexus again for the life of me and I'm kicking myself for not tracking it when I first saw it. Anyone seen it or have a link? I'd really like to have it.

Thank you for replying, Prensa! The armors I have that aren't vanilla are compatible with the body I use (Type 3 Alice), and the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 line is in the right ini. I've double and triple checked this. I noticed something when playing last night. It was only fair skinned caucasian people in the game who had this discoloration. Anyone of a different race didn't have this discoloration between the face and body. At first I thought it was just female characters who had the discoloration, but then I saw a male raider with the same discoloration. Also, my character is completely fine; her face and body colors match. It's only affecting the NPCs. Any other ideas? EDIT: Just noticed a few darker skinned people with discolored skin between their face and body, but it was at least within the realm of the same shade as their face. So it's really only noticeable on caucasians, with the face texture you see in the above screenshot and the yellow looking skin.

So I know this topic is very old, and probably has been answered numerous times, but I need help. I've Googled around, and I have done the most recommended things (Archive Invalidated, checked for "bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1".) I've uninstalled texture mods individually then all at once to see which one is the issue, even uninstalled armor mods, but the mismatched faces and bodies are still present. I took a quick screenshot to show the exact issue I'm having, just for reference. http://i44.tinypic.com/vhvk9l.jpg You can see that the colors on her body (arms, fingers, etc.) and her face color are totally different. This was taken with all face/skin textures off. Any ideas?

Okay, so I know the basics of making a follower and putting them into the game. I've done that a few times. Now I'm making a new one, but I came across a mod by Xenius: Scarface. I really like one of the scars in the mod, but since I'm making the follower with the Epic Elves custom race, I haven't been able to get the mod to load in the CK (at least I think that's the problem, I'm not sure.) So I've decided to try and just add the scar onto the follower's facial texture/Face Tint. The problem is, I don't even know where to begin. I'm willing to learn how to do so, and google searches have turned up names like Nifskope and the like, but I'm not sure if that's what I need. I do have Photoshop and the DDS plugin required to open that file type, but how I would get the scar onto the follower's Face Tint is beyond me, with Photoshop or some other program (or even the CK if I could get it to work with the race somehow) and google hasn't been that helpful since I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm new to modding, but when I saw the Drow Race by Zazemel, I knew I wanted to make my own companion with it, since there is no adult male companion available with the companions in the mod. I followed instructions for several different tutorials on how to make a companion with the esp file loaded in the CK, plus any hair files I wanted to use, but when I put it in the load order, my game crashes to the desktop the second I try to walk into the tavern I placed the companion in. From tutorials and messing around, I know the basics of creating a companion, but I'm unsure why it's not working. When I take the mod out, I'm able to enter the location I placed them in, so I know it's not my game that's acting up, but the mod. I don't have any mods that conflict with the race to the best of my knowledge (and I use NMM for my mods for easy handling), so I'm a bit confused. I have tried just making a companion with a vanilla race, and that works, so I'm doing something wrong with the Drow Race in the Creation Kit, so it's not working. Anyone willing to help me out? Remember that I'm new to modding, so easy to understand answers would be preferable. Thank you.
