  1. Holy Crap - thank you so much: this crash was driving me nuts.
  2. Hi all, Out of the blue I'm having an issue where Rog's execution won't trigger when you enter solitude - tried removing Alt Start and using Vanilla start, no joy. Used various AS starts and no joy. All other vanilla scripted events seem to be working - giant outside solitude, dragon at helgen, etc. Was working fine and now is not. I did not add any mods that alter solitude and I even removed all mods I'd installed after I knew it was last working fine and that didn't work either. Truly perplexed. Any ideas? Is the setstage thing safe to use if I need to to get past this?
  3. Well up to 254 esps with about another 100-150 merged/texture mods. Installing SKSE seemed to really help - now I just get the issue very rarely and usually when spending a lot of time in the crafting menus. Very stable otherwise so I'm good to go - now at level 30 with just a couple CTDs in that time.

Necro'n... but man, I can't tell you how much fuss this issue just caused me with visible favorited gear... started an entirely new game at level 22 cuz of ctds I couldn't isolate... started happening again around same level and lightbulb went off about the sword possible being the issue. Too bad, it looks so cool....
  5. whelp - seems to be a mod count issue, least for me... if I stay below 210 active esps I appear to be safe... but not sure I can do that, lol, too many things I want in my game. Current build has 248... with some big merges on top of that. getting the corrupted save every couple of hours. Not a huge issue as can just quit and reload and things are good again but it is annoying.

Hey All, Got a great build going in SE with skse and about 400 mods running perfectly - except - every once in a while I come across an NPC roaming about that is glitched out - send a disco ball like revolving mess of ugliness around the entire game world. my solution thus far is to kill them with the console and look at their inventory for clues - "infected" NPCs are always from Travelers of Skyrim SE and have a bandolier in their inventory, shoulder I think, that once removed immediately fixes the issue. Though the infected NPC in the attached image is a merc escorting an NPC to solitude, not sure if he's from Travellers or not, but he did have an imperial shoulder bandolier in his inventory. Removed it and glitch gone. I wasn't having this issue until adding Legacy of Dragonborn and Helgen Reborn to my LO, and starting a new game. Far as I can see from Mod Org is that nothing is conflicting with Bags and Pouches or Travellers of Skyrim. Travellers is below bags in LO with the addon patches for the dlc and Bags and pouches.... if I remove these patches from current game the issue still happens. Guess I'd need to remove and start a new game to see if it's gone, then I'd know for sure it's the bags and pouches add on for Travellers. Ideas? Update: just happened on a travelling apothecary with two pouches and a vial belt... definitely an issue with travellers and bags and pouches. Update 2: D'oh - I'm a dork: had the add on patches for vanilla and DB installed when one of the patches is a combo of both. Removed Travellers, cleaned save, reinstalled with one patch and will see if that does it. Update 3: removed the bags add on and thought that solved it, but just encountered again with an imperial soldier that had a 100lb shoulder bandolier equiped... when I equiped it, I glitched out. Crickets in this forum but maybe someone will chime in...

I don't recommend installing the MCM files, but I installed PapyrusUtil SE and disabled / re enabled Frostfall with the configuration power (not MCM) and it worked fine. yes thanks - found the papyrus se fix and it seems to be working now. knock on wood... game seems to be working fine with no corruption issues. Up to level 8 and doing things that caused the issue in previous builds - multiple followers, particularly. 210 plugins with far more actual mods installed thanks to installed overhauls. Not a single CTD and framerate is wonderful everywhere with everything cranked up. Watch next load i get the issue.... lol. TIme to see if I get get through Bleakfalls without having it crop up! I'm actually amazed at just how well SE runs with the skse alpha - frostfall, wet and cold, cloaks... etc. Seems very solid for "alpha".
  8. This issue is so weird, and frustrating. I keep thinking I have a solid game and then bam.. it's back. Seems to happen to me with my current build when I got to Bleak Falls Barrow... until then I"m fine. Only mod I have thta really messes with that area is OBIS. I can't play without OBIS so haven't tried removing it... also, I think it started happening to me most recently after I had paused the game for a long time, just tossing that into the pile. NOTE: installed SKSE and so far up to level six with no occurrence.... (but now frostfall doesn't work... sigh. )
  9. Thank you - this is kinda what I was thinking... that this is pretty much the vanilla way it is supposed to look without doing something to alter that. I am very leery of changing ugrids - particularly when I have been working on this build for a month now and have 400 mods playing well together... I'll try the pop in tweak and review that thread, but I don't think I'll mess with uGrids.

  11. HEy all, Got a new game going and am happy with everything - except bare terrain at medium to far distances that looks fugly. see pic. I use SFO and verdant ... have ultra settings... I'm guessing I've forgotten something in my ini files.... can anyone assist? Maybe I'm missing a mod - or something to do with TSLODGEN?

Well the bright side is I grabbed a beer and sat down to do a speedy rebuild while my memory was still relatively fresh - and I now have what feels like a much better game, that I didn't go as nuts on with every texture mod under the sun. The result is, so far, a much smoother playing game with barely a hitch at all - 300 mods instead of 400. Most of that missing 100 were texture mods. And it only took about 10 hours to do the build, from scratch.

So I spent maybe 40-50 hours over the last month doing "one last Oldrim Build" for "one last epic playthrough".... finally got it all pretty much perfect with 400 mods and purring like a kitten. Played it for an hour or so last night and went to bed feeling pretty good about myself for getting it just the way I wanted it. Then this morning... the drive it's on dies... New machine, drive is only a few months old... DEAD. Sigh... just had to share with folks that would actually understand the effort involved that are now wasted... unless I can actually remember some lessons learned along the way and muster the energy for another go. I did copy over my MO install to another drive yesterday but it doesn't appear to have my profiles with LO.txt... that's what i really need. 8:45am is too early to start drinking... right?
