  1. I can already tell how this is going to pan out if it becomes co-op multiplayer. Player 1 : "Hey, man! Where'd you get that neat looking gun?!" Player 2 :"Oh? This thing? Well, I got it from something called the Creation Club." Player 1 : "That's awesome! Can I get one too?!" Player 2 :"Only if you're willing to pay for it, and you can't wield mine since I'm the one that bought it."
  2. Alright, thanks for this reply. I really appreciate it. Went ahead and checked the license agreement and they're pretty clear about the forms of distribution, even if it's not monetary.
  3. Would it be against any policies to upload copyrighted models and textures - even if I bought the model, animated and rigged it for F04? Just to reiterate an important point, the model's paid for with MONEY. It was bought legitimately from the person who originally made it.
  4. That's not at all what I'm asking help for. The original mod works fine, it's injected into the game and functions properly. What I'm trying to do is override all the vanilla laser weapons with the Wattz Laser Gun. The problem is that the replaced weapons don't have models, they're just completely invisible. Like I said, I used F04Edit to make the changes. If there's a script or another method to use, I'd be grateful to know it.
  5. I've been having issues with trying to replace the vanilla laser weapons with the Wattz Laser Gun by DeadPool2099. The replacer was made with an override for the vanilla weapons in F04Edit. The replaced weapons are invisible in the vendor menus and whilst using them. The animations, sounds and even damage effects still work, but the model is missing. Edit : Fixed.
  6. Maybe we should start donating more to show that we actually care? The donation system is fine as it is now, but, and i am not familiar with the internal workings of it, but i would appreciate an Premium account option a few bananas pricier, that somehow gave some of those bananas to the top 100 and monthly/weekly hotfiles authors. All optional of cause. A complete reset of the endorsement system would be necessary, and i can see how top 100 authors would choke on that, because they would actually need to earn this and not just be the first to the buffet. That really wouldn't do anything. There are modders with patreons that make them quiet a bit already, and they're still signed onto the Creation Club. Not going to name anyone in particular, of course.
  7. But not everybody has the license to use these assets. I think they absolutely could pull some "license violation" stuff out of their a$$es. Maybe they have a patent on the usage of these specific files, it's 'murica, after all. And even if not: would YOU risk getting sued by a corporation? Well, they couldn't do anything against you, but they could totally destroy Nexus if they really wanted to. Nobody's going to get sued over it, without having a warning to take down the content first. If anything, it's an issue with providing a tool that's meant to be used to redistribute content that's meant for retail purposes only. Worse case is that Nexus will say, "Hey, take that down." or they'll just do it themselves. If they DON'T take it down, then it'll become a problem.
  8. Bethesda's content for the Fallout series hasn't been getting any better for the last 8 years and they pull this. They're not even going to try to hide their own obvious attempt to milk the community. It's so damn blatant that it's disgusting.
  9. Alright, I had to come back to this thread, because something didn't seem right with all the confusion. There's only an update for the Creation Kit version to 1.10. It wasn't referring at all to Fallout 4's current version. There was obviously some mix-up, because Fallout's current patch version is on 1.9, which could've been easily misinterpreted by those who didn't see Bethesda's main article about the patch itself. I won't link it here, because I don't know the terms of service with linking other sites for the Nexus, but it can be found on Bethesda's Devnotes, or on their news section of their website.
  10. Sorry, I've been busy and barely got to read this thread over the course of the day. I'd like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to respond to this thread, and clearing up anything that was misunderstood in the main article. If what is said to be true, by the previous post, then I have no worries. My fallout 4 is always up to date, and this assure me that the next update won't completely botch my mods. Again, thank you everyone and have a pleasant day.
  11. What mods would most likely be affected by the upcoming 1.10 update? I'm certain anything that runs on the Fallout script extender, but I'm unsure if anything else would likely become obsolete. Currently running mostly weapons, armor and texture packs in BA2 format and loose file format. With the exception of some gameplay overhaul mods, such as agony and survival options. Also, running an ENB, but I'm unaware on how that actually works, so I haven't got a clue if that would be affected either.
  12. Wonder how long it took for Bethesda to write up all this. They took literally every single lee-way to make sure not to accidentally refer to the Creation Club as a 'paid-mod' feature.
  13. So confused with what this thread derailed into. From what I've read, half of it is about paid mods, Bethesda memes, and some misinterpreted legal jargon. Anyways, this is the return of paid mods. There's no sugar coating it. Inevitably there will be Creation Club exclusives, that's what this project is aimed towards. However, maybe with the incentive of money - mods might be tailored to synergize and not jerry-rigged to be partially compatible with one another.
  14. There was an FN P90 mod made by robersonb1. It was taken down (hidden by the author) on 3/22/2017. Anyone know why? Can only assume that it's being hidden until all the bugs are worked out, but that's just only a guess.
