Question about the CK, The creation kit crashes anytime I try and open up a companion npc, FO4 is now up to date but the same thing keeps happening. I was able to load an exterior area and in the render window. But when trying to open the npc file for Cait, it just crashes the CK. Is this a common problem or am I missing something? -

This is probably a stupid question, but I am having the CK crash anytime I try and mod an npc or do just about anything. So, question: Does the creation kit require the latest version of FO4? I have not updated because of all the issues I am reading with mods no longer working. -

Question about the CK, I am having a hard time keeping the CK from crashing, I cant seem to open much of anything in the CK without it crashing, is this a common problem or unique to me? -

I edited a companions appearance with the console command "slm <ref id>" and I'm curious if there is a way to reset that companions appearance back to the default look?

It did not work for me, but I just reinstalled all of my mods after the failed attempt (a little over 200). The program is working fine now so no big deal. And people losing it because someone gave them a FREE program to use and the FREE program didn't work flawlessly?... Kinda sad. I wasn't happy with the update, but only because nothing warned me that it was that major when the update prompt popped up, seemed like any other update prompt. Maybe a BIGGER warning with the popup next time would help. Tanks for the Nexus site, thanks for the work on NMM.

I downloaded FNIS and ran the generator for users and it fixed my problem.

Anyone know the cause of this bug? I am having it as well. I am not using any female animation mods, but I am using Convenient Horses.

Dont even want to be on my horse now. Hope someone can figure out how to change the mounted camera view soon!

How do I attach this script to my companion? Also, do I use what you typed exactly, or do I change something in it to my companions Ref (mdrDeiselREF) ? -

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I had the same problem with unlimited companions and Sandbox Mod. I will take a look in Geck and see if I can edit those lines in my Veronica and Cass mods. Thanks

I would like to remove whatever it is that prevents me from hiring Veronica when I already have Cass with me. Could someone tell me where to look in the esp to remove the companion limit?

Curious if anyone knows what controls that text option (I want us to move) and what adds it to the npc you married? if it can be located and added to a housecarl you could then move your house carl to any house you wanted... (jpbalkenende's idea, thanks if it works)

Its looking like I will indeed have to wait for the CK. But I don't actually want to swap the housecarls when they are spawned, I simply want to be able to assign Lydia to live in the house I am currently living in (which is no longer whiterun). If I could find out what is assigning her to whiterun (and thus choosing her as the one that spawns when she is assigned) and what assigns the other carls to their city, then I could figure out how to reassign her to my new house.

I was looking through the esp file for the housecarls. I am assuming (I know that's usually bad) That the game reads the formid when spawning your housecarl, so I was curious if there is a way to reasign Lydias form id to the carl from Windhelm and his to her, so when the game thinks its loading him, it would instead load Lydia... Any chance that makes since? and would it be possible?

Just got the Windhelm house, bought all the decorations and there is still blood everywhere and dead body parts in my secret room. Talked to the jarls assitant and he does not offer the clean up option. any ideas how to fix it?

Lydia is the main reason I am trying to figure out whats controlling the animations :) I want to make her stand and sit like the other female characters. -

What tool do you use to look at the .esm? I may be able to help if I even get the right tools to investigate. I am using FOMM (the one for Fallout3 and NV) here on Nexus. -

I have been trying non stop to do this, I want Lydia to move to my solitude house and have looked through everything, also tried the switch you tried but no effent. I even started looking throuhg the breezehome esp's to see if something in there ties Lydia to it but nothing so far... p.s As for her name, it is under "FULL" just highlight the characters to the right of all the numbers and you will see the numbers to the left change with each letter typed. -
I am trying to find out what controls the animations an npc uses. I have looked through the <skyrim.esm> but i am getting a bit lost in there. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.
