  1. And here is the latest Papyrus log, this time it's VERY short, since i played only, like 1 minute and it crashed. Before i loaded the gamme I added 2-3 mods, but I sincerely doubt they are the cause. Here you go: Edit: I noticed that line [03/30/2013 - 06:50:51PM] Error: File "Chesko_Frostfall.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded. stack: is that essential, is it part of the crash, because I don't even have the frostfall mod??? wtf am i doing wroong, seriously, I did a COMPLETELY clean re-install, i started from scratch, i didn't load any messed up saves, i installed clean, updated mods trough mod organizer, i didn't mess with the ini files and it STILL crashes FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE >___<
  2. there is another thing i want to ask - the boss log shows the unofficial pathces (heartfire, dragonborn & dawnguard) as dirty, but the authors of those patches said they were already cleaned? could that be the issue? i didn't clean them because they said they were clean, even though boss says otherwise The BOSS log should not flag the unofficial patches as containing 'dirty edits' (it doesn't for me)....unless you haven't updated to the latest versions? It IS the latest version, and so are the patches :/
  3. there is another thing i want to ask - the boss log shows the unofficial pathces (heartfire, dragonborn & dawnguard) as dirty, but the authors of those patches said they were already cleaned? could that be the issue? i didn't clean them because they said they were clean, even though boss says otherwise the more i think about it the more i'm about to do it. Should I tes5edit clean the unofficial patches, even though the authors say they're clean?
  4. so you don't need the patch Enb is a graphic binary librarie which, before, need a patch to get rid of game freezing and stuttering, this patch is no longer needed for the last Enb because it's included in the preset provided with there is no mod requested for ENB, it's a sort of mod itself, you can run an Enb on a vanilla game if you want , thing is, an Enb is for some users really taxing on there systems so it's recommended to run it on mid to high end computer:) @@ thank you^^
  5. there is another thing i want to ask - the boss log shows the unofficial pathces (heartfire, dragonborn & dawnguard) as dirty, but the authors of those patches said they were already cleaned? could that be the issue? i didn't clean them because they said they were clean, even though boss says otherwise
  6. i know the patch, but it has been made for a ENB, if you are running , let say Enb 0.119 or greater no you don't need it anymore @@ edit : and if your are not running any Enb, you don't need it at all I don't run any ENB's, does that mean i don't need it? Besides ENB Antifreeze, I have HiAlgo boost and injfxaa injector, that's the only things i'm running skyrim with, no mods that require ENB or anything like that
  7. Yes, I said I did xD I uninstalled skyrim, deleted the SKyrim folder in My Games and used CCleaner to clean the cache just in case. The game is practically new, like I installed it for the first time in forever
  8. it depend on which Enb you have this one http://enbdev.com/patch_tesskyrim_antifreeze_v0096.htm If there's ONE thing you could do to kill your Papyrus script stack, THAT WAS IT.iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes is NOT your system RAM, it is the script stack buffer. The default value is only 75kB ffs. That should tell ya somethin', wouldn't ya think? :ohdear: So many times I see this mistake over and over again in people's logs, yet people still won't learn. I know the CK Wiki says the max value that can be set is "2147483647", but just don't do it!!! It is wrong. Setting an extreme value like that simply breaks the stack buffer ("stack smashing") - THAT IS WHY YOU WERE GETTING STACK OVERFLOWS AND GAME STUTTERING, and finally CTDs. Read here if you want to learn what is a stack buffer and what happens when it gets messed up. Now, how to fix this. Set iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes back to default (76800, iirc) and start a new game. Do not use a saved game that was made with the "2147483647" setting because ALL THOSE SAVES ARE NOW CORRUPT. I can't emphasize this strongly enough, I've seen this problem crop up so many times now. I did, I did reset it. The default ini file doesn't have a imaxallocatedmemory typed in, right? That's what my ini file looks like atm - no imaxallocatedmemory lines(i mean, the setting is still there, but because it's default it doesn't need to show, no?) i re-installed the game, deleted the 'my games -> skyrim' ini files, I basically started anew and i still got CTD The most recent one is 10 minutes ago here is the papyrus log http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=51695661376601895216&gk=hotel
  9. I had a CTD last night, but I wasn't able to play after it, in order to enable the log and reproduce the CTD But this is how it happened: I was in Morthal(outdoors) and i was doing the quest to kill the nearby vampire nest, when I got to the entrance of the cave and i talked to the npc, that was waiting outside to help me, the game lagged a little and then it crashed. I will try it again tonight, but now I'm 100% sure the CTD's are all with npc script, because there's always an npc around - it either makes a sound, or draws his weapon, or dies and i get crash
  10. i don't think you're supposed to clean those, idk... the forum topics from the authors of the unofficial patches stated that they are already tes5 cleaned which is very confusing, though, i have to admit they say it's cleaned but boss says otherwise I never cleaned them
  11. Okay, so far so good - i've been playing for over 6 hours now - no ctd (hoorah, hoorah! But I've played more than 6hours before and still got a crash later on, but it looks stable for now) I started all the mods one after another, tried them all and so far everything is completely normal. I removed some of the mods that induce more scripting. I even removed UFO (ultimate followers overhaul), because i learned from the forums that it writes NPC script directly and I had NPC issues before, some of them were idle when they weren't supposed to be, some of them were in the wrong place etc. For now the game runs okay, I used same stuff as before - Mod Organizer, Wrye Bash, a fairly simple injfx injector and the enb antifreeze patch (though idk if i need that anymore?). I'll update with the first CTD i get
  12. Same. I manually save every 5-10 minutes, every time on a new save. I don't have any form of autosave on. And okay, I'm practically leaving papyrus as it is and the only tweak to the ini files is the mouse acceleration thing
  13. Thanks, ripple (again), for your input ^^. I'll try the game without 'Duel' and then I'll try it with it, see if any changes occur. Okay, geez, here are the ini files  (you really love to be throughout, hm? Nothing wrong with that, actually, very objective) Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini Edit: I will restore the ini files to default and not mess with them, by your reference. Doing a clean start anyway, might as well do it right. And yes, I understand that MO doesn't store the files directly into skyrim folders... but I like to be throughout sometimes too xD
  14. Yes, these are the mods I've always been using (plus-minus a few added, but most of them I'm using for a long time.). The ctd started mostly with the unofficial patches. Al thought I already did that, I suppose it won't hurt to do it again, so I will install each of them individually and test them.. -sigh- it's going to be a long night...
  15. Just to let you know, I deleted my save games and I'm re-installing the game as we speak -_- I was just really raging when that CTD came up. I expect it to come up again anyway, so yea...
  16. Well, I use mod organizer so I can easily find which folder (mod) the script file belong to... well if u meant to search the mods folder - i just did. The only thing that came out was 'DuelAddAbilityScript' from 'Duel - combat realism' mod
  17. hrm, weird. idk. How about this one, through tinyupload? Direct download link(I hope, lol)
  18. Have you checked where footprintsAddFootstepsScript, _WetCloakAttach, DuelAddAbilityScript these 3 scripts come from? how exactly do i do that :/ I love that phrase, lol. ANyway, here you go, hope it helps
  19. what does that mean D: I'm not good with any of this stuff, I only know how to install mods and how to clean them (ripple taught me :D), but idk what that means -_-
  20. Boss log is squeaky clean, I don't see a reason to copy it, because everything is in order, no warnings, no nothing, everything is 'Active' and no 'Notes' telling me to do something additional. The unrecognized is Crossbows_Basic_Collection_DE_LL.esp ActiveHvergelmir's Redesigned Housecarls - HRH.esp ActiveBashed Patch, 0.esp ActiveThe only, ONLY thing I did to the INI files is to change the defaultiMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes to iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=2147483647 that's the ONLY thing I touched there. My system can run the game decendly, if I lower the shadows and the resolution i can maintain a very good fps count. It's not a high end system, sure, but I've played Skyrim before(and on higher settings) and it never crashed like that. CTD is completely random. I could play 4 hours and no ctd, i could play 20 min and BAM! CTD. It's mostly outdoors, but last one was indoors. Mostly it happens around NPC's, mobs etc, when I talk to someone or when someome is about to say something or when I hit a monster. Sometimes it's just when I walk around. The common factor is NPC's, but overall it's random. Papyrus log is 3mb, that's why I uploaded it.... firefox froze when I tried to put it here, so yea xD
  21. Okay, I've had it up to here with damn ctd's. I can't work it out what makes my game crash and I can't fix it, this has been going on for months and im this close to never playing the game again. I tried TES5edit cleaning the mods, i'm using Mod Organizer so they install more neatly, I've reinstalled the game a DOZEN times, I carefully installed all the mods, I don't tweak the INI's so much, only adding imaxallocatedmemory crap and it STILL crashes can someone please, PLEASE, for the love of god, take a look at the papyrus log and tell me - WTF do i have to do to play the god-damn game(and if your suggestion is 'Don't use mods' - no. I don't want to play without mods, I already did that. I've finished skyrim a few times, now I'm just playing it for exploring the world and i don't intend on doing it without my mods. So here is my mod load order list and I will link the latest papyrus log to this topic and PLEASE just tell me what I'm doing wrong because i'm starting to lose it  ...... Link to the papyrus log (it's 3mb in data, so expect to load a little) EDIT: This thread has gone through some twists and turns and I'm getting VERY close to figuring out what the problem is, but i'm not there yet. My 5 month journey to finally fixing these god-forsaken crashes is coming to an end so if anyone wishes to help me suffer no longer, please check out the last post I left and help a player out T_T
  22. Yes. Mod Organizer makes a copy of your ini files from the default location for each profile you generate in MO, so multiple users can play the game without having to constantly back up/overwrite the ini files for their own set ups. Your can either edit the ini settings using the ini editor in MO, or find the ini files under '.../ModOrganizer/Profiles/[your profile name]/...' Why are you CTDing from scripts? Have you remove mods from your load order? Nope. Just happens sometimes, like when I talk to someone the game crashes. Or when I use an Altar. Mostly when some scene is about to happen, like in High Hrothgar, when the Greybeards train me and summon projectiles well, once they took 5 minutes to summon the projectile and the game crashed. But then I re-loaded and it didn't It's really random, but nothing fatal, I mean, it only happens once in every 100 times but it's still annoying xD I'm not really sure what you mean by that..
  23. Okay I'm trying to see my trace log, since I have some script crashing as well, but the log doesn't appear i enable trace logging in the Skyrim.ini, but nothing appears I'm using mod organizer, could that be the problem?
  24. Okay, I had similar issues and I started a thread and user ripple helped me SO much so if you want, you can browse through the thread http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/889117-ctd-without-a-cause/ and you can follow his instructions on how to do things properly. It helped me a lot, i don't have CTD's anymore there is also another thing you can try you can read here http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4192 that could help too good luck :)
