It is bad enough we are forced to have Steam, but now Steam doesn't work either. What really, really sucks is that not only I cannot play Skyrim, Steam has polluted virtually all of my favorite games so now I can't play ANY of them....FO3, Civ, Oblivion.....thanx Steam, you suck. And wtg Beth for saddling us for this one too.

Yea, my dog ran off too. It was fun for a bit tho, had Lydia, a couple of dogs and of course the mount. Regular little parade. Now only have Lydia left. Others were stoopid and attacked a Dragon or left after quest.

Really? I think my Breton looks outstanding! And the Magic Resist is best I think too.(imo) It seems to me that there isn't enough protection against those caster types. I modeled this toon on a Renshai....light armor, DW swords and best defense is a strong offense! A bit of MR helps me get through the waves of fireblasts and frost spears, etc....and to even make it better, I almost always get some sort of critical on that stinkin caster.....*very* satisfying to have the cinematic of me stepping up, impaling and then driving my blade up through their stomach and out their neck as I lift 'em off the ground. Yay me!

I have only ran across them escorting a repressed Nord once. Therefor I was not aware of their attitudes until one told me snottily to mind my own business. While I hadn't(and still haven't) chosen sides yet, I did not care for his manner. As someone mentioned, I also had 2 melee and a caster. I DW maces and I wanted to impress upon them my dissatisfaction with their shoddy treatment of other races. I just went with them as they came to hand, and left the impression of my maces in their craniums. The mage was most irritating. Made me chase him. Him I really wanted to chastise, so he got the mace put in sideways  Unfortunately, I was full of loot at the time so didn't pick up the stylish duds. I am sure I will have an opportunity later! Besides, they were prolly a bit bloody......

Smithing is the easiest way to get em, once you have the perk. And must echo earlier post-Smithing is, imo, VERY useful. At low levels as a toon I was wading through mobs. It is *quite* satisfying to go toe to toe with a giant when they used to pound you into the sand in the beginning. =) And the enchanting kinda goes hand in hand with smithing. As I wander around I get raw materials which I then make into something valuable....then sell for pure profit. It is also *quite* satisfying to see that pile of coin that I have made through my own efforts and to know that when I want to get a house or mount or whatever, I can just buy it with all the trimmings and not sweat the cost. I have only gotten Daedric items if I made em and also through quests, not as drops....at least, yet. I have stumbled upon 3 artifacts so far: the Star, the ebony blade, a heavy helm, oh, guess its 4 because last night I came across a village that needed help and got this big fookin hammer. Too bad I don't have 2H skills yet. Cool lookin tho!! (sorry at work and cant recall names of em all atm)

What 6 skills are you leveling the most?
BloodwolfeAK replied to aguliondew's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It always seems so linear to me....I find myself doing it the same way on toons. I don't want to die, so I work on smithing to get better gear => and also you want that gear to be the best it can be, so there goes enchanting => all the gear means you killin lotsa mobs, which means more loot...to sell/use/whatever and so start talkin to lotsa NPCs => and so up goes your speech and also with all the fighting comes the healing, alchemy, nukes and whatnot => and on it goes.... I hadn't really paid that much attention to the scores, I haven't always 'levelled' when it came available, its so incremental I just was into doing whatever I happened to be doing sometimes. So it was actually a mild surprise to find out that I have actually hit 100 on a few already(I hope it won't limit me later on, if there is a finite number available). Last time I checked it was something like this...: Smithing-100, Enchanting-100, Speech-100, Block-100, 1H-87(or so), Light Armor-96, Stealth and Archery both high 60s, and then Restoration and Destruction high 50s with all others under 20. I plan on eventually doing the mageline quests as well as the rogue quests. I am beginning to focus on rogue skills though. Gotta get my lockpick up! Tired of snappin Lockpicks! I haven't done the cheat things, it takes away from the time you spend on getting scores up. I get more satisfaction when I remember the time and effort it took to get better at....whatever. The closest I came to cheats is I didn't always kill a mob as fast as possible. I would let them beat on me a bit so I could understand game controls/learn weapon sets/how mobs fight etc. As a result of that, my block is higher than my wep or armor atm. -
After reading all the above posts, I understand and don't disagree with the valid points mentioned. I enjoyed all the Fallouts over the years, and also TES as it has progressed. Immersed? At times, certainly, maybe not so much other times. I don't stop and cogitate on it, but to put it into words....I just go with the moment. I just am. Where I am. I don't expect more than what is there. Earlier games in either storyline had problems....but, honestly, I still would rather be out wandering the world(be it apocalyptic post-nuclear US or Morrowind) than watching TV or doing one of those silly shooter games. As far as Skyrim goes...if you enjoyed climbing that mountain and finding that cave or following that river to its source....pickin weeds or fighting the mob as it came along in Oblivion then you will enjoy this as well. There are notable similarities and there are some changes as well. For the most part I think it is a step closer to getting it right. If it was a perfect game then it wouldn't need mods, would it? If you just focus on what is wrong, instead of enjoying what it IS, then that is too bad for you. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than the last one? Yea, I think so. And guess what, the next one will be even better! So it goes........ Having said all that, I gotta say, that yeah, having NPCs react to how you impacted the world in FO3 would have made this game even better! Oh well, maybe next time. At any rate, this is merely my own opinion and each must make their own! Cheers!

I haven't yet....I can't decide! Lydia is nice and Collette was another....need to see more of em first! Also, kinda waiting for the modders to get the bugs worked out. An early mod came out that cleaned all the gunk off of em--Lydia looked **AMAZING**, but, sigh, with all the bug issues that this(a new) game has it didn't work for long.=/ Also, to answer some other posts here...yes, better males are coming. And depending how involved with it you want to get, nude and clean is what some mods had. Dunno if I want to go there, but I know some will! So, with the console commands along with upcoming mods, it is likely you can have almost any of the NPCs you prefer. So keep your eyes open for prospective mates... cheers!

Is there any way to place items in house?
BloodwolfeAK replied to Arshness's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
In the Breezehome, there are actually four bookshelves and each is capable to sort 12 books. Remember that each part (upper, lower) of the bookshelf can be activated separately. Ayup, this is true....for S&G I keep all the training books and pile em on the shelves.....altho I guess I better get another house. Shelves are full and I have a chest FILLED with books of value. =D -
Actually, there has been female Empresses in TES histories....lol, you ever read all them freakin books laying around?? Not many, granted, but there HAS been a few. And to BE an Emperor/Empress you kinda HAD to be a dragonblood? So you could light the fire, wear the necklace, all that stuff??? It has been awhile since I played Oblivion, but I think that was how it all went...... /shrug, could be wrong tho'....it has happened before! =P

I just ignore em....they realize that they have intruded and show themselves out....at least that is how I look at it. I have interacted with most NPCs in town now, and done almost all quests in Whiterun so it seems every single one has something to say. I get a snicker as I blaze through town now.....behind me I hear a stream of voices all wanting me to hear what they have to say! I keep on goin' and they just fade out or stop following after they realize I am ignoring them, hehe. =P

Hmm, that explains how I got a bounty....I was wondering how the heck that had happened. I have freed a few prisoners from the Imperial lackies and I thought I had killed every guard each time. Or is it the prisoner perhaps? 1 prisoner actually ran in a different direction and I was unable to catch him and talk to him....so perhaps he reported me?

Aye, Matth85....I wear my Dragonscale armor and although it is considered 'light armor' it is certainly more protection then those little dresses the mages wear =P As for inferring that I have exploited the crafting professions, that would be incorrect. I have worked diligently to get my smithing, and then enchanting maxed and have put almost every point into those trees(with a few in 1 handed as well!). So, while I havent actually put on my mage duds yet, to go that route- I will take your word at how fast a couple of summoned does the job, I am sure it works well and it sounds like a good strategy for a clothy. I will have to try that method when I start on the magic quests!(and you can have 2?! summoned creatures?? is there no limit?? interesting!) I can say, having done in upwards of 40+ dragons, that I can kill em pretty quickly. I haven't actually.."timed" it, but it is a matter of seconds...30 or less, certainly*. *If I can get em on the ground of course....If they are flying around or land and take off before I can close to melee distance extends that time.

This is correct. You can enchant boots, chest, ring, and necklace to 'fortify carry weight'. I hate leaving ANY loot behind, so I pushed my enchanting up right after my smithing....just so I could do these enchants. Now every single magic item or drop that passes my value scale can go to the vendors! The side bonus of this is that I must travel to several vendors to sell off all the loot...and at each one I check their inventory for any NEW enchants. I have built an impressive list of enchants available. And since my enchants and smithing are maxed through this cycle, I now have the best gear I can make(Dragon so far) and enchanted nicely as well.
