The "Update available" highlight is in the mods/download history, which I rarely check. The menu I'm referring to is in the mods/recent activity/updated files. Maybe highlighting the mod name in a different color, or putting star, or other character, next to the name.

SUGGESTION: In the Updated Mods list, it would be helpful if mods which have already been installed in the game were highlighted, similar to the way Download History is labeled.

A nice option in mods/recent activity which would be helpful would be to mark mods in that list, which users have already downloaded, It would allow users to find updates quickly instead of having to spend time scrolling through the entire list. Thank you.

Did you try taking the nirnroots back to (Sarethi(?) Farm), even though the counter shows zero plants? I had this bug once years ago, and even though the inventory showed zero, the game completed the quest (as long as you collected enough of the plants to satisfy the conditions of the quest).

If you don't mind using a cheat, you could remove the markers mod, and install the Crimson Nirnroot Cheat Chest mod (link below). The chest is found in the small building you see when entering Blackreach. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2244 If that doesn't work, go into the console and type player.additem B701A X (where X = the number of plants you want).

Thanks guys. That "door" was bugging the hell out of me

In my game, there is a bandit camp between Helgen and Lakeview Manor, just off the road that runs beside the lake. There are three bandits there, and one of the tents has a trapdoor in the floor which doesn't seem to open. Does anyone know if this is part of a quest, or is it just eye candy?

It would be so much easier to follow the direction of arrows on the screen to guide one in the general direction of both the Unknown Books and The ice giants... much like the Jiub's Opus makers in the Soul Cairn in Dawnguard. The first couple are easy to find, but then, the player ends up searching the same places over and over. Kind of kills the spirit of the game.

SSE Have consequences for selling highly enchanted weapons or armor
mcbarker replied to mcbarker's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Hey, thanks for the update. Looked at the Faction Economy Complete mod. Sadly, it also has some instability issues... but I'm keeping it on my watch list. I'm at the stage (level 60... again) where, even on legendary play, I can kill whatever is necessary without much of a fight. I had hoped that the mod in question would make the game more challenging. Anyway... Thanks. -
SSE Have consequences for selling highly enchanted weapons or armor
mcbarker replied to mcbarker's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Thanks for the info. I'll start the long laborious search for it... I think I found it. Was it "Bandit Economy"? It so, it appears to have CTD problem, when selling items, and the author is no longer updating it. -
I'd love to see a mod which enables consequences for selling highly rated, or enchanted weapons and armor. For example, instead of these sold items either disappearing, or forever lying in a store unsold; have other's, both friends and foes, buy this gear. It can be used to strengthen whichever faction or individual purchases it, so you may end up fighting a band of bad guys who are using dragonbone weapons with deadly enchantments, which can kill with a few strokes. Overall, the difficulty factor of this game, even at Legendary levels, is often too easy once the upper levels are achieved. A mod with the above design would increase the difficulty of the game... and would make it a little more realistic.

I started a new game about a month ago with SKSE v2.0.19. Couldn't get it to run. Disabled all mods... no joy. My old game worked fine with v2.0.17, so I uninstalled 2.0.19 and installed 2.0.17 again, and the game started up and ran perfectly. Still using 2.0.17 without problems. Apparently, the update wasn't because of Bethesda or Steam updates, because my game has the latest Bethesda and Steam updates installed, and yes, there have been several Steam updates lately.

New computer. New install of Skyrim SE. Correct SKSE64 version installed. The only way SKSE will load is if I do it directly from the SKSE launcher in the F:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Skyrim Special Edition\ directory while in Windows Explorer.\ Loading it from the same file pinned to the Start menu loads Skyrim without SKSE. Loading it from Vortex gives the following error SKSE message... "Couldn't find TESV.EXE". Apparently, TESV doesn't exist in Skyrim SE. This appears to be an SKSE error. Running everything in administrator mode. There are no entries for either SKSE, or TESV in my firewall settings. Ant help appreciated.

In response to post #75810278. #75811368 is also a reply to the same post. No one ever said that using NexusMods was mandatory, either as a free member, or as a premium member. You can always go to the Steam site and BUY your mods there... and see how that works out for you. It's very expensive to run a website as large as this one, with as many users. I know that Nexus isn't perfect... no website is, but the guys who created and run this site work hard to maintain it... and let's not forget the mod creators who supply all of the great mods free. Please show a little appreciation and respect for them. Everything considered, I think they do a really good job with the amount of traffic they get. As far as paying for premium membership... well, that's just my way of saying thank you for a site which I use daily.

I have a suggestion... Would it be possible to add a button which, when clicked, shows ONLY the new and updated mods since the user's last visit?

A mod for renovation of the Windhelm gray quarter after the civil war if the player chose the Empire would be great. Windhelm needs a bit of a face lift, but leaving the gray quarter as a slum seems like a waste. Maybe the dragonborn could help by raising funds for the rebuild... after all, the civil war battle generally takes place after the player has gathered more gold than he/she can spend. I see all of these newer mods being made for quests which take place outside of Skyrim (Bruma, etc), but there's still plenty of things which could be made interesting and challenging within Skyrim.

In response to post #55253573. #55255758, #55255963, #55259463, #55261253, #55261808, #55262098, #55263308, #55264013, #55264303 are all replies on the same post. New design is fine. Maybe a little slower than the old site, but I'm sure that when any glitches are worked out, the changes will be an non issue. I'm running this on a 2560x1440 monitor, and it looks a lot better than the old site. If it's a little slow for some of you, try the new version of Firefox... It's a lot faster.

I'm tired of horses fast traveling with you after you've ridden them once. An option to sell horses instead of having to kill them would be nice.

More useful gardens for Hearthfire. There used to be a mod on Oldrim which allowed growing apple trees (green and red).Other fruit trees (pears, oranges and peaches) could be grown. They could be placed within the garden, or near the house outside the garden. The ability to milk the cow if you have one; and why don't Hearthfire chickens lay eggs. It doesn't make sense for the cow and chickens to have no useful purpose, and eliminates the need for an animal pen.Allow the milk to be used in the butter churns, and honey from the apiarys would be nice. All new food items could be added to the ingredients list for cooking or baking.IMO, this would be a great immersion mod, which would help Hearthfire become useful, instead of the lame add-on it is presently.

New web pages load too slowly. Also, needs more mods per page. I know both of those things are at odds with each other, but other websites manage to do it.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post a Nexus website issue, but... The Nexus Skyrim site seems to be having a graphical issue. The normally black background on your mod pages is showing the mostly white mountain Skyrim scene, making it difficult to read white text. This started happening in the past day, or so. The site seems not to be playing well with Firefox v48.0, but works fine with Google's browser. Possibly also related to latest Windows 10 update? UPDATE: Never mind... it seems to be fixed now.

It would have been nice if Bethesda had made the training points cumulative (like perks), instead of losing them when you level up if you haven't used them. When starting a new game, you need as much training as possible, but the game levels up so quickly at the beginning, that you usually don't have the gold or opportunity to train, and those points are lost. It makes no sense having a five training point limit. It was something I disliked in Oblivion, and it seems they carried it over to Skyrim. Hopefully, someone will make a mod to fix this.

Wow! Sounds like a Giada DeLaurentiis mod.
