  1. I found the ending quite dull as well, you don't even get the option to become High King, or even a Jarl, it just ends, sure you can go around and do all the other quests and junk, but whats the point if the guards still look at you and say, "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll" its utter madness, hopefully in a year or so, Beth will release some DLC for Skyrim that will either add to the main, or give us something else to do after killing Aldin.
  2. Does no one remember that Jyggalagg IS Sheogorath, just like the end of the SI main quest line in Oblivion, Jyggalagg just went back into Sheogorath once you beat him, sure, it's been like 200 years or whatever, and i'm sure Juggalagg has played hell on the Shivering Isles, but they are one in the same after all.
  3. Because it's another way of healing yourself, plus with the ring you also get boosted Stamina. Plus, it's something different, you an be a cannibal in the Fallout games, so why not Skyrim, i personally just finished the Cannibalism quest, and i'm eating people left and right, as long as i'm alone, but to each his own, it's just a quest, once you do it, you can drop or sell the ring and forget about it, sure the message asking if you want to eat or loot will pop up all the time, but you'll ignore it eventually, it's just a quest.
  4. Bah, just kill the old Hag and get it over with, she tried to have you killed, I say a little Retribution is in order
  5. Honestly, in my opinion, neither, sure, it's cool to be able to transform into a Werewolf at night, but as I've learned from Morrowind, if your not careful, and watch the time wisely, you can find yourself turning in the middle of town, (fun at first, but then it's hell to get away) sure, being a Vampire has it's perks, but unless you can find an area to feed without being seen (Morthal, the Jarl's room, easiest place i've found so far) it's hard to keep your Vamparism to a low enough level, that's why after doing the companians quest, i used one of the heads to cure my Lycanthropy.
  6. I've had the assassin random encounter, that gets me wondering too, about who performed the Black Sacrament, but i think it's just a random event, kind of like the Thieves or the Dragons, i don't think anyone sent the assassin after you.
  7. Personally i wasn't a big fan of the weaker Dark Brotherhood Line, sure, you get to kill... Someone Important, but that's really all, or when you get recruited, you can choose to kill Astrid, tell a guard, then go to Dragon Bridge and accept a quest to kill all the Dark Brotherhood members, so either way it's fun. So while we're on the subject of the Dark Brotherhood, has anyone had an assassin after them with the Dark Brotherhood note? is that just a random event, or is there more behind it?
  8. As a member of the Dark Brotherhood, I'm not at all judgmental of other people's "evil" tendencies. That being said, is there any way to "complete" the quest without killing him? Like lying about killing Cicero during the DB quest? Wait, you didn't kill Cicero? How could anyone not kill that crazy Jester, hell, i even tried to kill him once when i met him randomly on a road, i even did the DB quest line and still killed him, but then again, he had it coming.
  9. okay then, i don't know if that feature will add to the whole vastness of Skyrim or not, but hey, if you can get married in Fable, why not get married in Skyrim...
  10. Hell yeah! that's the one thing I think is the biggest downside to Nax, is that he doesn't have sean connery's voice, if he did, I don't think anyone would be able to kill him. He actually seems to be inspired from the movie, dragonheart. Except adapted to the lore, but I see the nod towards it. No, I still would have killed him, not a big fan of Sean Connery, (with the exception of Highlander), now if Nax had the voice of the dude from the Dos Exes (or however you spell it) commercials, i'd rethink killing him
  11. Sure, the game does have it's hicup's but so did Morrowind, and in my personal opinion, anyone who says Morrowind is better then Skyrim, can hand over their Skyrim copy, when i played Morrowind, i couldn't understand the bloody story, i mean, come on, was there even a story? But not with Skyrim, from the moment you get saved by a BFD (Big Freaking Dragon) till the time you kill said BFD, the story is understandable and current, plus, not only are the graphics better, but theres more to do, don't get me wrong, i liked Morrowind as well, especially the expansions, werewolf all the way, but i just couldn't understand the base concept of Morrowind, (on a side note, if anyone does understand Morrowind, and can explain it, feel free to me a message). but in Skyrim you can use the forge and make your own weapons and armor, but i think i'm getting off point, so i'll just stop here.
  12. Honestly all my characters have been archers or archer-related, i just like the process in Skyrim better then Oblivion, it make's it look like the arrows hit harder then they did in Oblivion, here's a good challange, Marksman, sneak and 5 points in onehanded, (+100% dmg) use arrows for afar and a dagger when up close, but don't engage in direct combat (unless there is no other option), pretty much make your character a pure assassin, use alch for poison and buffs, use illusion magic to hide or strategiclly position yourself, and make use of the Archery perk that allows you to retrieve twice as many arrows from the dead bodies, it works wonders, trust me, light armors fine, and only try to carry what you need, (i cant remember how many times i tried to run from a dragon or a large group of enemies and couldnt use my sprint feature because i was overemcoumbered), also make good use of the pockpocket skill, once maxed out, you can acctually disarm your opponent, steal their weapon/armor, if done right you should have no problem.
  13. I would be nice to be able to travel back to Cyridill, i mean, if you do the Dark Brotherhood quest line, you acctually kill the current Emperor, so it'd be cool to see that Cyridill is like with no Emperor, (again) but isnt Skyrim supposed to take place like 200 years or so after the events of Oblivion, so would Cyridill and the Shivering Isles even be there, or the same? I'd also like to see the MC be giving the choice to become the new High King/Queen, I'd like a little Recognition after killing Alduin and ending the fighting between the Imperial Army and the Stormclocks, wouldn't you?
  14. Wait, you can get Married, WTF? :psyduck:
  15. Sounds Evil, I love it! :psyduck:
  16. It's possible to have him die, but it takes a lot. Like a lot, a lot. Well then my game must be crap, i rode off a cliff and he died, at first i was like, okay, he'll get back up in a few minutes (This was first time playing Skyrim) but when i went to check on him, and it said "Loot" i nearly cried, i loved Shadowmare, he was the first thing i got in Oblivion, and i rode him everywhere, why did they make him killable, WHY bethesda WHY?!?!?!?!
  17. So i don't know if this is the right forum for this topic, but here goes, what's up with that strange Daedric gauntlet and portal thing in The Midden, underneath the College, is it used for anything, and what items do i need, i keep trying to activate the offering box, but nothing happens, does it summon Daedra or what, could someone help me out please? *Yes, I know the Topic is misspelled, but honestly, i really don't care*
  18. It's true, Oblivion had a much better ending. Story-wise, yes, Skyrim lacks, sure you don't get any good armor or a weapon at the end, but at least you as the player will have some satisfaction in the though that you saved some False, Computer Generated World, and all of it's False, Computer Generated Citizens. But while were on the subject of crappy armour, why is it that the Dragon Scale armour is like the best Light Armour, while the Dragon Bone is the worst Heavy Armour, you'd think with Dragon's being these massive, deadly beasts, that their Bones would make for better armour then steel, or whatever.
  19. I mainly killed him out of Boredom, lest we not forget, he shot the MC with FIRE!!!, i know it didn't hurt and the MC learned a new Shout, but he/she was shot with F-I-R-E, now that's just something i can't forgive, plus, I killed every other dragon i came across anyway, so Paarthurnax and Alduin are the next logical choice, but if we were able to choose, I'd probably choose to help Alduin take over the world and rule at his side, mainly due to my hatred of Cysiro, screw that bloody jester, i'm glad i killed him, evil, crazy Joker...
