  1. In response to post #82644678. #82648508, #82649243, #82649413 are all replies on the same post. Exactly the opposite. I was not able TO change the load order, which is why mods were conflicting with each other. I did not have a way to move stuff up or down to resolve those conflicts. Those simple up and down arrows in NMM allowed me to resolve any conflicts without needing to learn a complex programming language, which is exactly what Vortex wants me to do.
  2. In response to post #82644678. #82648508 is also a reply to the same post. That is almost word-for-word what someone told me when Vortex replaced the old Nexus Mod Manager. I looked at that page then, and looked at the thing in Vortex, and it was entirely too complex to understand. It literally wants you to learn how to program something, which I did not have the computer know-how to do then, and I still don't have now. It was not a "2 minutes" thing as you describe it. I spent hours on it, and could not figure out how to program it, much less program 150+ mods to work together. The old Nexus Mod Manager has two simple arrow buttons, up and down. Click the up arrow to move the mod up, or click the down arrow to move the mod down. Easy to understand. Easy to use. Effective. This is what I want in Vortex. This article says the Mount And Blade section has been given a similar mechanic. Now we need the Skyrim section to have that same mechanic.
  3. Look at the thing for Mount And Blade, how you can drag mods up and down in the load order. Did you ever do that for Skyrimr? The lack of such a button or mechanic means several Skyrim mods will not work. For that reason, I uninstalled Vortex, and continued using the old Nexus Mod Manager. Skyrim is simply not playable otherwise. And before anyone says anything, LOOT also does not allow you to manually move mods. LOOT is simply a rough guideline, but you are stuck with what it gives you, so mods will still break. So, if you have not already, do the same thing for Skyrim, and add a button or mechanic to manually move mods up and down in Skyrim load order.
  4. Before I start drastic measures on my mods, how about a second opinion? * Does anyone else have any expertise on moving mods from Vortex to NMM? * For that matter, does anyone know how to fix the children endless dialogue?
  5. Will I need to re-download all my mods?
  6. But how am i supposed to adjust the load order? Even if you uncheck the Autosort button, Vortex does not have a button to manually move mods up and down. Can someone please make the old Nexus Mod manager work again?
  7. I already tried changing those variables to 0, then back to a 1. All that does is simply reactivate the endless dialogue. Plus, whether is is 0 or 1, it is still preventing any more adoptions. As for Lucia first, the order does not seem to matter. I have done nearly every combination, and the result is still the same. No matter who they are, the first child always works, and the second always has the endless dialogue. As for my load order, you might want to get some coffee, then find a comfortable chair. 8. I do use RS Children, and quite a few of the NPC mods and city mods also have RS Children patches. Could that be a source of the problem? As for the Dwarven spider or sphere, I don't have them. As I said, I have no interest in them, so I never bother to get them.
  9. So, I just moved over to Special Edition. Some things are definitely better, but some things are even more broken than Legendary Edition. Namely, the adoptions. I have done numerous save reloads, and even a couple entirely new games. Each time, the result is exactly the same. No matter who I adopt, and in which order, the first child will always work perfectly fine, but the second child will always have that endless dialogue where they follow me around all the time. For that matter, why would the first child ALWAYS work, and the second child ALWAYS be the one with the endless dialogue bug? Worse yet, this is preventing me from being able to adopt any other children. With any other children, I can get to the point where I tell them where to live. But then, instead of saying they need to get their things, and say goodbye to everyone, they just repeat the generic "Hi there," and stay where they are. If it matters, I've never had any interest in getting the Dwarven Sphere, so it is not a factor in this equation. I have not met Meeko yet, so he is also not involved. Inigo is a constant, but he has never caused this problem in Legacy, so I doubt he would be the cause in Special Edition. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1461 * As always, I am using Multiple Adoptions. That said, the multiple part has not even come into play, because I cannot even get the second child to work, and that is blocking any other children from being adoptable. * As always, I am living in Whiterun, because it is the geographic center of Skyrim, which gives easy access to anywhere in Skyrim. For that, I am using Comfy Breezehome Remodeled. Could this be the problem? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20704 * If it matters, I also use My Home Is Your Home.
  10. Some time ago, I remember seeing a mod where NPCs would claim houses if the owner died. If I remember correctly, the mod would create an NPC to move into that house. I don't remember what that mod was named. Do you know which mod this is? (I am on SSE.) Edit: I found it. It was "They Took Our Jobs." https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12207/?

  13. I was a Super Moderator on their old forums, and continuing that job on our new forum site, FilesNation. That was a great 6 years. I am very glad we have FileTrekker leading the team to backup as much as we can. Best staff member, ever.
