Update: I screwed up on the iron armor. Going to have to start over. :( Note: Still looking for volunteers to test. It'd take forever for two people to test every armor.

LE request for "Armor and Clothing dye mod"
Shinjolfr replied to lowes4pros's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
That'd require scripting to be viable (which we can't do without the Creation Kit). Think about it - if we DID make it - we'd have to use custom textures for each color. Say you had 10 colors. 10 colors x Every armor + clothing texture = A LOT of textures. The filesize would be huge. Your game would commit suicide. Also: Immersion. It'd be lame if all the NPCs didn't have their own preferences in color. -
Would using 2x or 3x the armor rating be acceptable?
-
I think it was the game's .exe file itself.
-
Can't do it yet. You'd have to make your own armor - new weapons - ect. Sheathe button would retract the claws though. Added perk/power for the quick-healing.

Yes sir.

A Proper Way of Getting Permanent BaseIDs aside from help "name
Shinjolfr replied to Adeno's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Food for thought: It could be giving you an id of one that's in-game, instead of the baseid. If the ids aren't static - and generated when you load the game - it could cause those effects. You'd be cloning an in-game monster. :P -
WIP Skyrim Laundry Service (Clean Clothes Mod)
Shinjolfr replied to Reptiley's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Want to collab? I'm currently re-doing all the armor in the game. Make a "Beautiful Armor/Clothing Pack" together? :D -
Basically - you like the iron helmet. You want the protection of say - elven armor and you use light armor instead of heavy. You want the iron helmet's metal to be the shiny gold - the horns probably white. You want the stats to be elven - grade protection and count as light armor. So - you'd have to custom make a set of armor - or replace elven armor with the mesh of the iron armor - but use different skins. Gotcha.

Update for anyone following along: Caille is testing for me. Need more testers! Shield has been re-done and is ready for testing. :)

Here's another idea: What if feeding gave you these "blood points" that were the equivalent of perk points/shouts. Then you could pick and choose what type of vampire (magepire/thiefpire/warpire) that you wanted to be. Think "Breton Alchemist becomes Vampire with enhanced strength perks - now he casts spells - hits you with a two-handed warhammer - and drinks your blood to heal. Or have it like the shouts where you gradually unlock vampiric powers (probably much simpler). Have the powers unusable again unless you feed. (Think blood points as a new type of Magicka - vampire related abilities only)

Hey that'd be great! I don't actually have ANY testers atm. :( Do you have some sort of IM? (X-Fire?) And (for the love of loving) I think I need some help posting my pics on the forums. No way to make them bigger? Thank you! :D Edit: There are no female variants of the steel armor. They must use the same textures. Would you like me to PM a download link so you can test for me?
-
I'm starting with the Steel Armor. Please ignore the shield - I'm going to customize the wood texture (it won't be that stupid black/white - I promise) -Front- -Back- -Full-

You can make/download a mod that makes your player faster and able to carry more. Guess it's a more Steam-friendly approach.
