Blog piece: Ads, Supporters, Endorsements and Bandwidth Throttling
Stalkholm replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
So after readding your recent posts Dark0ne I went through my addons and added exceptions for the Nexus, Ghostery and AdBlock Plus are both disabled here now but.... well, I'm still not seeing the ads. =/ I can't buy a premium membership at the moment, but I DO want to support the site. For those who are in a similar situation, could you maybe make a post of what addons and tweaks interfere with Ads on the Nexus? I want to do my part, but Firefox isn't letting me. By the way, I <3 my Norton 360 so :P -
Just copying from the mod's page, but there ya' go, try that out instead! :D

I don't know what the problem could be then, as I seem to be running it fine. =/ Just for shits n' giggles let me list what I've got installed and the order in which it appears in my NMM load order directory (Yay for redundancy yay!) Triss Outfitt For TES V Skyrim by Fraper ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5135 ) - Installed First Triss Armor Retextured by Psyke23, Triss - Deep Black v_1_3 ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4708 ) - Installed Second Triss Armor Retextured by Psyke23, Plugin Update v_1_3_a ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4708 ) - Installed Third Triss Armor Retextured by Psyke23, Dark Brotherhood ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4708 ) - Installed Fourth At the moment I have Triss Standalone.esp loading first and Raven Set v 1.3.esp not loading at all.... have you got Fraper's mod installed? To quote from Psyke's page: "Question: I don't want a standalone, can I use this armor as a replacer for, let's say the Thieves Guild armor so that every member wears it? Sure thing, all you need to do is download Triss Outfit for TES V Skyrim by Fraper, install that and in the meshes folder rename the files to the ones you want to replace. After that, just download one of my recolors if you want to, put it in the right folder and that's it. I won't go in-depth here, as there are tons of good guides on google for that." This implies that Fraper's mod needs to be installed. I think I'm getting sleepy, as I'm rambling. Give it a shot, see if it works, tell me if you already tried it and I'm just making a fool of myself. :P Worst case scenario new hardware will fix it. /nod

Oh! Well I feel foolish now, I'm been running them together for some time. :) It may also be a conflict with CBBE or Cherry's version if you're running them or not running them, but that's never proven to be a problem with any other armors in the past. =/ Best of luck man, let me know if it works!

Don't get me wrong, I love T&A as much as the next guy, but when it comes to clothes and armor in Skyrim I find that boobs hanging out all over the place can break my suspension of disbelief in the game world. What I would love to see; if feasible, is for the vanilla armors and clothes to be adapted to work with CBBE without too much sewing of hems and dropping of neck lines. Well... a little cleavage wouldn't hurt, but the whole "Invisible chest armor" phenomenon doesn't really do it for me. :P I'd like to offer Triss Armor Retextured ( http://www.skyrimnex...ile.php?id=4708 ) as a point of reference. Psyke23 made his mesh compatible with CBBE without resorting to over-sexualizing it. Of course this is all dependent on whether or not there's any desire for a mod along these lines beyond myself. Chime in on the poll above and help me make a point to the mod authors! :D -Stalk Bump removed strike issued - In case you missed it, Bumping is against the rules. Bben46, Moderator

Unless I'm mistaken the mod you're using has to be used in conjunction with the original Triss Outfitt for TES V Skyrim ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5135 ). I didn't see whether or not you had mentioned in your initial post if you were running the two concurrently or just the retextured version. Additionally you might want to check the load order of your mods, as Fraper's original mod has to be loaded before the retex. I believe the original is called Raven Armor and the retex is just called Triss Retextured. I hope that helps! :D

That's well beyond my breadth of experience, I'm an ideas dude, not really a gitrdone dude. :P There's are a few mods on Nexus though that you might look at and reverse engineer: Skyrim Nvidia 3d vision crosshair: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=902 and 3D Vision Replacement Crosshairs: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3236 Whether either would be useful for study regarding third person, 2D crosshairs I have no idea BUT I'm almost certain that the mod authors for those two would be willing to point you in the right direction of what to do next. :)

Bumpity Bump because I HATE (And I don't use that word lightly) the fact that I've just as good a chance of hitting my target by taking the time to align and aim my magic as I do just aiming in the general area. Speaking as a pure-mage, it's very frustrating to shoot off a Fireball, be down 1/4th of my mana and to have alerted the entire dungeon as to where I am. Archers have another hundred arrows in their quivers, I can only unload five or six blasts of magic before I need to start imbibing my potions or hiding. =/ I fully endorse and bump the idea of fixing the Third Person Crosshairs. /nod I wonder if the sprite for the cross-hair could just be replaced with one; a bit larger and with some empty space, that compensates for the third person view?

Bumping because I'm a manwhore.

More; shall we say tasteful, CBBE armors.

Wooops, ignore this! o_O Sorry mod, I completely missed the big, giant, impossible to miss sticky saying that this is not for mod requests. =/ -
Don't get me wrong, I fully appreciate the appeal of watching a buxom, half naked woman swinging a two handed sword over her head, and I've no objections to that; but at the same time so many of these CBBE armor mods try to do so much that they don't turn out well. What's more not all of us are teenage boys. :P I'd love to see some of the vanilla clothes and armors remeshed to form to the improved CBBE body type without the often times jarring "Wow, her (fill in the blank) is hanging out." I'm sure that these will come to fruition eventually, but for those of us who are fond of the curves but not the streetwalker style sooner would be better than later. My two cents.

We have such beautiful homes, but nothing can be seen in them! If one is running FXAA Post Process or Enhanced Shaders the dark corners are nearly impossible to see. I'd love to have some crafted candles, or bottles full of glow or what have you. Right at the moment I'm lighting Breezehome with those glowing egg things.... it doesn't work well. =/

Bumpin' cuz I like this idea.

I second this suggestion/request. There are a lot of epic armors out there that would fit in well with this game, or wouldn't fit in well but WOULD look epic. As such bumping for more epicz.

I'd like to see a mod that addresses the common exploits that are built in to vanilla Skyrim. Case in point: I just Enchanted myself down to -12% Destruction Spell Cost, completely legit. I'm aware that there are more, but as this is my first play through I haven't yet been exposed to what other professions have to offer. (Please leave your own experiences and input in the comments section below.) Sadly I; like so many other gamers, find these exploits hard to resist. I mean, the developers /wanted/ me to be able to shoot flames from my fingertips the entire time I'm playing, right!? The second part of this thread is for a general re-balancing of game difficulty. In specific the fact that I can completely own a dragon in thirty seconds or less, then get used as a golf ball by a giant. Or die from an arrow to the knee. Or fall off my bed and have half my health sapped away. I'm not saying make the game easier OR harder, but perhaps make dragons more difficult to kill that fleeing goats. Of course this is an open discussion so if anyone has any extra input to add in I would be grateful. I understand that Smithing is fairly OP and that Alchemy can craft Pot's o' Immortality... Ideals?

Bumping, because I too would like to see this.
