  1. This is probably a stupid question, but better safe than sorry. As I do not have Iceborne, should I be using Iceborne-compatible mods or their older version? AKA, did the iceborne DLC/patch also change the base game such that post-iceborne is less of a requirement for the DLC but rather that the game itself was changed post-release and now this is the version that should be used regardless. EDIT : Upon testing, post-Iceborne mods seem to be working fine, so I guess that about answers it.
  2. Like the title says, if I use any AP, it will instantly regen to max after a second. I've managed to dig out where it started happening, though I can't tell why it happened. I have 2 saves, 5 minutes apart, one with the bug, one without. One's just before meeting (and killing) Skinny Melone and his crew, the other just after sending Nick on his way home after exiting the Vault. I didn't level, I didn't spend a perk. I tried removing all my gear. I tried leaving Survival mode. I didn't add a mod, I've tried disabling all my mods, not that that proves this wasn't caused by one but at least it persists without one (also, there does seem to be a trigger, whatever that trigger is). I've tried recreating the bug: I hadn't used much drugs (Jet especially) before that fight so I tried popping a few to no avail. I've tried to see if this was the VAFS redux mod messing up with Jet but upon trying again the mod doesn't let me use Jet while in VAFS or vice-versa so guess not. Honestly, those saves are so long ago that I'd rather quit my playthrough than keep going (overly dramatic to be sure). I blame iHud (I'm kidding) for hiding the issue from me (AP doesn't show unless under 80%, if I'm always full, I don't notice it filling). I'm mostly curious if anyone has dealt with or at least has an idea of what's going on. I'd love to fix it but, I dunno how. if AP regen is a value, maybe I can set it back to whatever the default is if ... I dunno, maybe I'm at 1000 AP per sec instead of 10 and that's the result, I know very little of how Bethesda games work. I don't if I should link my mod list or not. I'll link it to be sure. I use MO, so if this is a conflict issue I can test it out pretty quickly at least. Don't put too much credit to what I'm gonna say here (or do, maybe) I'm wondering if the same thing happened a year ago in my previous play through. I don't remember it very well, and I didn't keep the profile unfortunately (I do still have the saves so technically MO can tell me the mods, I guess). While some of the mods have changed between the two, some have stuck at least, so maybe it is a mod thing. Or maybe some weird engine thing. Again though, this is nothing more than a very vague "maybe that did happen before". If anyone can help, thanks a bunch. If not, thanks for reading, I appreciate the emotional support haha. EDIT : So, my theory wasn't wrong. After some research on console commands, I found how to look up my AP regen rate. Typing "player.getvalue 2d8" got me 999.00. Trying it on the normal rate save got me 6.00. So, problem should be solved right ..? Maybe? Potentially? "setav" did not work at all. "forceav" did however. In the future at least, I know how to tune in back. But I'm a bit worried about how AP regen works in this game. Assuming the Actiongirl/boy perk is the only thing that directly changes this value, then I just need to keep it in mind should the issue arise again. I'd still like to know if anyone knows what causes this. Especially if it's a specific mod they know causes this, then I'll happily remove it (if possible).
  3. Looking through various overhauls for enemy scaling, it seems none are really for me. They add a lot of item that I do not necessarily want or hand place enemies in specific places and make you have to follow a set road or get killed. For example I remember using Francesco in the past but giving up after about 10 or so hours of constant running away from enemies that were way over my level. Some others seem to simply randomize encounter, which is just as bad in my opinion. The closest to what I was looking for was a mod that changed the enemy list so that bandit stopped scaling at a certain point while making low-level enemies spawn regardless of player level. But that mod also affected loot and seems to make it nigh-impossible to get anything over chain/steel. I had this idea of using Francesco with a mod that makes the player take more damage, which would in a way let me control my own sponginess and the enemies' sponginess with two "different" sliders in a way (one being the mod, the other the in-game slider). I have no idea what the results would be though so I'm curious if anyone uses a similar setup. Or, if not similar, I'm curious how some of you are dealing with the whole thing. Especially if the end-result is something that doesn't necessarily changes the whole game as much as just fixing the problem. If it helps, I usually play as an Archer that uses stealth at first and defaults to melee when the enemies are too close.
  4. It's currently working again for me! You guys might wanna give it a go and see it's also fixed for you. And hopefully it's not a temporary thing.
  5. Have you checked if these mods had requirements? For example, I know one of the Mobile Truck's version requires the sortomatic mod. Many player homes do in fact.
  6. I've been having the same problem for the last two days, so you're not alone. Kind of tragic really, considering it's been a while since I've played NV and I get hit by this. Hope it gets fixed soon.
  7. I haven't played with PerMa but isn't Harmony an Illusion skill? If Wayfarer in Perkus works the same way as in SkyRe, it simply levels by wandering. Basically you can't simply boost up your Wanderer skills, you just get better at it as your character wanders the world.
  8. Alright, thanks everybody! I'm already after Helgen, so I guess all I have to do is install all the ones I know I'll keep, then go with the flow and try some out every now and then. This should help me a lot!
  9. I've recently been trying to get back into Skyrim. Problem is, after a clean re-install and complete overhaul of all my mods, I just can't seem to get through the whole modding process again. I'm not patient enough to install them all at once (not recommended anyway). But going 1 by 1 is way too slow What do you guys do whenever you start a new game? Do you remove all mods? And if so, how do you go about re-installing them? I thought about starting with a handful of them (10-15) then add 3 or so every quest or something, but I'm rather curious if other people have other methods that I might like. I know I'm asking something rather selfish, but I'd really love to get back into one of my favorite games
  10. Fire Dragons will ruin your day as a stage 4 vampire. Otherwise there is no need to feed, but there is also no reason not to feed : You can just RP it. I was playing a good guy character and decided that, even if it made him weaker, he would still feed on people, just so he keeps his humanity. But he didn't want to cure it either, as the powers were useful, and that vampires weren't necessarily evil (Serana comes to mind). In the end, it depends on what you want. but if you want to keep it Vanilla, you'll have to RP your need to feed, because there is none otherwise. The fire weakness can be countered with enchanting anyway.
  11. After spending many time on Skyrim, I felt like changing a bit, try out a new world and what not. I've played NV in the past, but didn't know of mods at the time (so long ago ahah). I'm currently going through Gopher's vids (Tutorials first, then probably Clinic). In the meanwhile, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask around here if any mods are highly suggested, be it bug-fixing, to gameplay, textures, etc etc. Anything at all (His Fallout videos, "Let's Play"s aside, are kinda old afterall). Thanks in advance for any response!
  12. Fair enough, and quite awesome for such a quick reply! I guess that as long as all I'm missing on is the main quest, it isn't TOO bad. I'm also quite curious of the alternate dialogues. As for the random dragon attacks, well, I'm not sure whether I want them or not, after thinking about it: on one hand they make the game fun, and on the other they're annoying. Guess I'll just try it out, and if I ever want the dragons, I'll find some random rp reason for my character to do the main quest.
  13. As the title said, is there a mod that makes it possible for the PC to be the Dragonborn without doing the Main quest. Say I'm playing a wanderer who happened to discover his power, or a thief who's treasure chase led him to a dragon and word wall, etc. I want to be the Dragonborn without having to act like the hero of Whiterun who slayed a Dragon. A Dragonborn who didn't ask the Yarl of Whiterun to send troops to Riverwood because "it ain't mah job mate". Anyone know of such a mod? EDIT : Or can it be done without mod actually. Say I find a shout and kill a Dragon, would that trigger the appearance of Dragons in general, or I really need to through the Whiterun quest line?
  14. Hmm, sadly, I figured as much. Oh well, guess I'll take a look in learning either of them. I'm just really in love with NMM's noob-friendly side
  15. I've recently started playing Skyrim with 2 different character (depending on my mood lol), but both of'em are using some different mods. I was wondering if it was bad to simply deactivate (Checking them off) mods that are not used rather than uninstalling them every time I switch character. I've tried Mod Organizer (for the profiles) for that, but after years of using the Nexus manager, I just can't seem to find the energy in leaning how to use MO. EDIT : From what I understand, un-checking them doesn't remove the mod, but rather makes it inactive? So would it be dangerous for my save files to do so or not?
  16. I was wondering if it was possible, through mods, to completely shut off certain skills. What I mean by that, is that, by using said mod, certain skills would simply stop leveling, both player level and skill level-wise. Say I decide to block my character's speechcraft at 15, he would still be able win any persuade requiring 15, but anything over that will always fail. Neither books nor training will ever make that character better as far a speechcraft goes Basically, this would allow one to make a, say clumsy character who always try but mostly fails at persuading anyone. Or a destruction apprentice with clearly no talent other than lighting a fireplace, a warrior who can only use basic-level sneaking, without it ever becoming truly strong, etc. I know of some mods that make some skills not give player experience, but couldn't find completely shutting off experience for a certain tree.

  18. EDIT : Brain fart. The problem was completely irrelevant to SkyRe, and I solved it. Mods can delete this thread. I've recently installed SkyRe. As I played, I noticed some pretty big fps hits and such, and decided to remove some mods (not accusing SkyRe, merely had a lot). Uninstall a couple ones, start the game : CTD. Decide to check NMM for possible reasons. In this case, it was the ReProccer, since I removed some mods it made patches for. So I visit the Nexus Page. It says to re-run the ReProccer.jar, so I do just that but... Every single time, the reproccer.jar fails, and gives me this error : skyproc.exceptions.MissingMaster: AOS_DSI Patch.esp has some missing masters: - *Esp in question" Please activate an try again How am I suppose to run the reproccer to remove files if it asks me to install them again? I tried ticking the "Force patch on exit" but to no avail. What am I doing wrong? If someone can help me, I'd be truly grateful
  19. I did just that and I managed to fix it, awesome! (On a side note, I can't believe I made such a dumb mistake as to not read stuff, I mean come one me, really?) And yeah, I did thought about making my own thread. Wasn't sure considering someone already brought up installation and such. Next time I guess I'll follow your advice. Thanks for everything :D
  20. Considering the topic, I might as well ask for a problem I've got with installing SkyRe : I've followed Gopher's vid, and everything (should'ave) been alright, but when it came to activating the Reproccer at then end so that it applies to Immersive armors and such, I just can't get it the work. It first started with the fact that .jar files were set to be opened by WinRar. "No problem" I though, and simply went to the java folder to open it with "Java.exe". However, instead of the menu from the video, I get a small black windowed screen that opens and then close. And, it did not patch "ReProccer.esp". I'm wondering if I don't have the right java.exe (would be my guess, but then where is the right one?) or if I'm just doing something else wrong. If someone can help, I'd truly be grateful!
  21. Honestly, while one could point you to decent vampire-themed armor mods or HD re-textures of the original one. I don't think there's anything as a completely new vampire armor replacer. You gotta keep in mind, Vampires are ultimately sneaky-casters. you won't see them go ham on you with heavy armor. and If they need to go ham on you, they'll just summon undeads/gargoyle/Vampire Lord mode. EDIT : Someone may however know how to use the creation kit to replace their armor with whatever you want, although I myself am no modder so I can't help you much.
  22. For Followers, you can probably use the "My home is your home mod". Basically, this mod allows you to take a follower, bring him somewhere you want, and tell him to live there. Also allows to move your spouse/husband with you (In the main house if you want). You could, for example, make a couple of'em live in the huge treasure room to liven' things up when you go in there. And, you can make another batch of them live outside there house. "So they'll just live in the fiels like hobos?" - Nope. If you use the Frostfall mod, it allows you to build various tents and campires and place theme anywhere. You could make 2-3 small camps around the house, and make your followers live there. This also fixes the "empty field" part (which is kinda true). Mind you, all I'm saying is speculation, I haven't tried any of this (but it should be possible) And damn, I might end up using my own idea ahaha :D. The more I think about it the more awesome it looks "My home is your home" page : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18045//? "Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Surviva" page : http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11163//?
  23. *I removed mods that I'm already using* I am extremely dependent on having high frame rates. Even if I get one small lag every 15 seconds or so I'll go crazy, hence the "no ENBs" part. This also leaves mods like Civil war Overhaul out, since the immense battles leave me at low fps. I'll check out the Armor mod and Mask as well. The mask specifically looks interesting, altough I'm not the kind of guy to randomly assassinate NPC's, it could prove extremely useful with some Dark Brotherhood quests. I have a question about SkyRe : Does it make the Dragonborn as strong as the enemies ? My main concern with Master in Vanilla Skyrim is that It's going to take me 30 hits to kill a bandit in fur while he will 3-shot my heavy armored Tank Dragonborn. If it does that ? I sure as hell will jump on that mod right away.
  24. Jaggarsfeld definitely comes to mind. It is almost literally what you just described. Here's the Nexus link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38392/? As well as Gopher's Sanctuary on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GewLpxKmYZk
  25. I already have Frostfall :) It's pretty neat, I remember that quest about saving some guy from a Elven Keep North-West of Solitude. By the time I got there (unprepared, to boot) I was freezing, no tent, and only had enough wood for a fire. I ended up slowly luring the elves to the camp to stay alive from the cold. Was definitely Epic lol. I also have Mystc Knight, though I ain't sure if it fits an evil character, will have to try it in game for awhile. Been wanting to try out Deadly Dragon, but I'm already getting my ass kicked from Dragons on Master, so I've stayed away from it for now. Thanks for the recommendations though ^^ This seems pretty interesting. While it doesn't solve my current problem, it does seem cool as I try stuff in the future!
