  1. I played Skyrim a few months ago without any issues and stopped playing. I've reinstalled and started playing again but now I have this incredibly annoying shading. I'm fiddling with my settings with no luck. The only difference from before and now is that I updated my drivers and Skyrim has updated. The issue occurs when I pass through something simulating shade. The shade flickers and isn't gradual, it's either LIGHT or DARK or DARKER. Watch the video and you'll see. http://youtu.be/6G_1HVBgJzA I could downgrade my drivers but I have no idea what my previous one was or what my current one is. I'm just that fantastic. ALL FIXED I just disabled the shadows like a bus.
  2. Yeah I'm done with them, never buying from them again. I'll just pirate their next games if I have to deal with this. I paid $65 for a game that I have no control over. It's all there on my computer, but their actions are blocking me from my owned property, how fair is that?
  3. I'm seeing a lot of these ideas. I made a thread linking all of them including this one. Take a look and share your ideas on this mod. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/481529-jarl-empire-city-territory-mods-discussion-thread/
  4. I've seen a lot of duplicate threads on the same ideas so I figured I'd help bring them all together so we can create one really cool mod or idea of one. This topic is so we can discuss the mod in one place. Making things a lot easier for everybody. If you see a topic on this mod, link them to here. I'll post their topic in here for others to view. The list below is of topics related to this mod. Read them for reference and share your ideas and opinions. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/477527-jarl-mod http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/477174-build-your-own-empire/ http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/481317-skyrim-mod-become-a-jarl/
  5. I've joined this forum recently and have discovered that there are an overwhelming amount of new posts daily. I spend most time on Skyrim's Modding category and I think sub sectioning these forums would help. For instance under Mod Requests, you can break down mod ideas to what you're asking. Texture Mods involving clothing, weapons, anything involving redesigning the look of things. You can have General Mods for people who aren't really sure. These are a few examples of what could be done. The benefit of doing this is so posts do not get buried and missed. I am frequently seeing posts requesting mods of something already requested and it adds to the buildup of posts. If Bob wants a king mod and Joe wants one too, one of them will make a post and the other will see it and share his ideas, rather than two separate topics. Just an idea, I hope I helped.
  6. Notice how a Mace chops an enemies head off as if it were a sword? Well we should fix that, like so! Instead of chopping a head it should hurl it off into the distance like a baseball bat hitting a ball. The gore sound of chopping the head should be replaced with a sound all baseball fans know well. The sound I suggest comes up at around 0:12.
  7. I posted a thread on something similar to this, check it out. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/477527-jarl-mod/
  8. I'm spinning ideas right now so this will be random. Fair warning. Give opinions, edits and addons, please. Imagine being Jarl of a city or town. You're charged with managing taxes, military, politics, diplomacy, conquest, wars and so on. Upgrade your army's health, speed, regeneration, unit types, etc. This increases chances of winning wars, defending your city, cities, and territory. By means of tax money and whatnot = a need to generate tax income from managing rates, city population, industry, raids, wars, etc. - Unite types as in, I have 20 men, 3 war dogs, 1 giant. Raid towns, cities and whatnot for gold, special upgrades for your city and army, etc. This can either be done through an interface i.e. (Select [raid] [town]... "Your army has succeeded and brought back the following!..." Or if we want to get real complicated; we utilize unit spawning (Edit their stats according to your upgrades, etc) and literally stand beside your army and raid the town. Which would probably consist of travelling to said place and killing a set amount of soliders or waves. Then you get a reward and travel home and have a jolly time. Expand territory and influence, tax civilizations within your domain. Example would be say you're based in Riften and you control Riverwood. You can control how to tax Riverwood, request soldier conscription, increase defenses, etc. You can view enemy and friendly territories on the map. Visually you would see an area enclosed by a coloured border. The map is broken down into sections, like... territories. This is so you can visually understand. "Okay, Whiterun's neutral, let's take it over", something like that. Invest in industries like farming, mining, forging, trading, caravaning, defense, etc. These investments grow and you make more and more industrial income and upgrades. Upgrades would come from say your mining industry getting new ore allowing better amour and weapons. Farming gives you larger population maximums, etc. Even if you conquer all of Skyrim, outside rivals from the rest of Tamriel will keep you busy with maintaining your territory.
