  1. This mod idea comes from the fact that none of the castles in the nexus really "hit the spot" for me. They are either too big, or too extravagant, or too small and lacking features, or way too dark, or not immersive, etc. I tried modding, but I simply can't manage it. I struggled for days to make the creation kit work, only to be submerged in bugs once I actually tried to do something with it. So hopefully a more capable modder catches wind of this and feels inspired and decides to give it a shot. The goal is to provide a small castle that is immersive both in the way you acquire it as in its design. Simple yet elegant, not ostentatious. It would aim to capture the atmosphere of camaraderie you get from the brightly lit hall of the Companions, transported to a sturdy stone keep. The idea is that after the Greybeards agree to train you in the way of the Voice (i.e, after giving them the horn of Jurgen Windcaller) the Elder Council (who has obviously been following your deeds, what with the first dragon slain in centuries) decides to recognize the dragon situation and surreptitously aid the Dragonborn in his struggle. To accomplish this, and in the same act, reward the player for the slaying of a dragon, they send the Courier with a letter and a key - granting the player lordship over Castle Bordergreen and its surrounding lands, for him and his followers to use as a base of operations. Built out of solid rock, so as to withstand dragonfire, and placed on the border between Skyrim and Cyrodiil, so as to create jurisdictional issues for anyone who would attack you, the Castle would provide an ideal base for someone tackling the dragons and the thalmor. It would have a small staff of 1 cook, 1 blacksmith and 1 court wizard, who would sell common items of their respective specialty. I even drew up the plans and everything, before I gave up with the CK. http://i.imgur.com/hX1zvmE.png Hopefully someone likes this and decides to take this project. I've tried most of the castle mods out there (I find Riverwood Castle is probably the best) but none of them quite satisfy me.
  2. Whether you are an imperial or a stormcloak, I think it would be awesome if after you complete the civil war questline, you were able to recruit imperial soldiers or stormcloaks from the various forts. After all, you are a Legate/Stormcloak badass, and you perform a civic service killing dragons, you shoud be able to get the government to help you a bit. If there's any mod like this, please point me in the right direction!
  3. Yep, putting dawnguard at the very top also worked for me! Thanks guys!
  4. Anyone have any idea what could this be? Maybe midas magic or apocalypse spell package? Better vampires?
  5. I had the dragon riding bug everyone has, but I fixed it by deleting the custom dragon skeleton folder or something. But I quickly realized I can't use magic while riding the dragon. I lock on a target, left click, and my char just charges the spell and never releases it, or if it's a non-charging spell, like flames, it simply never triggers. I checked if it was because of trying to use spells that can't be used on dragonback, but it's not, no spell works. Has anyone encountered this issue? Anything I can do?
  6. Could the problem be that a lot of FX wisp abilities are MGEF instead of SPEL? How do I remove an FX that is in MGEF format? Couldn't I just go to the file in the folder and delete it?
  7. It tried looking up those wisp abilities IDs and add and remove and it didn't work. I appreciate your help Campaigner. Also, I'm not sure but I think the wispmother spell to duplicate itself is missing there, so that may not be a full list. It's like they hid the wispmother abilities, I haven't yet found another creature for whom the help command won't list the abilities. Isn't there a command to see what abilities your character have? So that I can check there and remove them? And I would greatly appreciate any help learntheburrow.
  8. The wispmother fx is stuck on my character. It's a sort of ghostly, smokey aura that permanently surrounds my char. If I use sexchange, it goes away, but comes right back once I go into first person mode. I've tried sex change, removing all items, getting shot at with things, nothing works and it's driving me crazy. It's the same issue as in this thread in the wiki, only, it's the wispmother fx. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Glitches/Archive_2#Smoke_Glitch The solution there says to look for the creature abilities with the console and look for the fx id spell and then add and remove, but when I type "help wispmother", it shows no ability information as it does with other creatures! It only shows useless stuff. I thought maybe it had the same fx as the wisp, but I tried with the wisp fx and it didn't work. So can someone please tell me the abilities "spel" ID for wispmothers so I can remove this fx? Or some other way to fix this? It's driving me insane not being able to use first person.
