  1. Can anyone help with this issue that's been annoying me for a while? I have tried all sorts of mods that alter the price of goods, but while things like gems, gold and jewelry have now got good prices, silver is still almost worthless! Puts a real downer on things if you want to be a thief, eh? I'm sure there was a mod that sorted that problem out, but I cannot find it anywhere. Also, I've got a mod that makes the silver nice and shiny - surely there's something similar for gold?
  2. Thanks, I know of that mod. What I meant was to have a couple of big creatures biffing it out while everyone watches and bets money on it!
  3. because you couldnt tame a fully grown wolf lol unless you make a back story onit, like the people at the racing arena found them as babys and took them. would be pretty awesome mod! Well, they don't seem to have trouble taming Minotaurs and what have you for the Gladiator questline (after you've become champion!) ;)
  4. OBSE is great - since using it, I have had no crashes whatsoever; before, they occured daily at least. The only thing that's bugging me is the Oblivion Launcher still points to the original game exe. Is there any way to make the Launcher point to the OBSE.exe, so I don't have to load the launcher to choose my mods, exit and then run the game via my OBSE shortcut?
  5. I've seen some of the Horse racing mods around and am about to try one out for the first time; I was wondering why not do the same with dogs, or with other fast animals from Cyrodil such as the lions (and other big cats), wolves and so on?
  6. While watching the Gladiators battle it out in the Arena is fun, it would be great if there was a separate Arena (preferably in the Imperial City - maybe it could be made as a separate 'annex' to the city outside the walls) where you could watch Creatures of Cyrodil battle each other and bet on them in the same way! I don't know if such a thing would be possible or not, but if it could be done it'd be fantastic. If such a mod already exists, please post a link - I have never seen such a mod. :) Also, why not have the option to bet more than 100 gold? Maybe a limit of 1000? We'll stop short of having a Gamblers Annonymous set up in the Imperial City though, eh? :)
  7. Hasn't anyone got a link to this mod? That feature is integrated into Francesco's Leveled Creatures and Items. From the documentation I know, I found it after re-reading the docs. Trouble is, that mod does nothing but make Oblivion crash for me and I know for a fact that the mod that makes zombies/skeletons come back to life is available as a standalone mode - I had it before, a long time ago. you should try BOSS to take care of your load order and Weocps to prevent many crashes OK, thanks - I'll try them. There's one other query I'd like cleared up. I remember someone mentioning a mod that enables you to get hold of dogs that can track your dead prey in the long grass (it can be damned hard to find them otherwise and I play with maximum graphics). Has anyone got an idea what that mod was called (if it exists at all)? Edit: I've checked them out and one of them appears to need OBSE. The trouble is, OBSE doesn't appear to work with any official patch! OBSE does not work with: Oblivion 1.2.0.214 This was the official downloadable 1.2 patch. (as of v0017) Oblivion 1.2.0.410: the Shivering Isles beta patch. Oblivion 1.2.0.201: the Shivering Isles DVD build. Oblivion 1.1.0.511 This was the original Oblivion that OBSE supported. (as of v0017) Oblivion 1.0: the original DVD build of Oblivion. What use is it then? Most mods require the latest patch to run properly! Huh... works fine for me... Current version supports only 1.2.0.416. Will installing 1.2.0.416. give me any issues with saved games? I really don't want to have to start a new game right now. :)

  10. I've tried Francesco's Creatures and Items, but it crashes constantly. Has anyone got a link to one particular part of this mod, it may well be called 'Francesco's Undeath Return'? It gives a varying chance of undead rising again after they've been killed and was my main reason for searching out Franceso's mod in the first place. Right now, I have OOO 1.33 working fine and that comes with a lot of new creatures (although not quite as many as Francesco's Mod), so that'll do me. All I want now is for those White Ruins to be made even creepier, by having things come back to life in rooms you thought you'd cleared!! Edit: @ Scrivener, that sounds very interesting! I'd like to get that mod as well. :)
  11. Never heard of the other mod, but when I did use Frans the Zombies did resurrect now and then, the Dread Zombies usually never stayed down the first time. As for conflicts, there's a mod out there that combines the contents of the large overhauls: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12249 Wow - nice one! This is worth just uninstalling Oblivion and going from a completely clean installation - all those mods combined must pretty much cover all bases. :) Only one thing though - it's a beta, do you know how stable it is? And does it work with Oblivion v1.2? Edit: I've read the description again and I will need both MMM and OOO, so maybe it'll work without reinstalling Oblivion? Francesco's mod looks so amazing, but after installing it, all Oblivion does is crash. :( Nope - didn't work. I went from a completely fresh installation of Oblivion (patched to v1.2), with no other mods, but Francesco's mod kept making the game crash - immediately after exiting the sewers at the beginning of the game and frequently when entering other buildings/caves.
  12. I am having the same sort of problem with Francesco's levelled Creatures & Items 4.5. All Oblivion does after I install it is crash and it looks like such a great mod too! I have even tried going from a completely clean installation of Oblivion (with v1.2 patch), yet it is still crashing!! :wallbash: Can anyone help? If I can get this mod up and running, I'll get right back into Oblivion all over again... (again)!

  14. Thanks for the links. I think I'll go with Francesco's one (I recognise his name now from the last time I used the mod) - MMM is more of a complete monster overhaul, isn't it? I already have Obscuro's(?) Oblivion Overhaul and I've fairly sure that MMM will clash with that one. :) Edit: Actually, Francesco's is a full creature overhaul as well. He made a mod called 'Francesco's undeath', or something like that, whose sole effect was to cause undead creatures to come back to life: has anyone got a link to that one? I can't actually find any mention of undead coming back to life in that mod you linked to. :)
  15. francesco's and MMM can do that i think Have you a link to that mod?
  16. I've downloaded AxeBane's Real Hunger mod - the one that means you have to cook meat before eating it and so on, but I can't find the cooking pot or firewood anywhere. Where is the best place/shop to look?
  17. Wow. What you guys are undertaking is almost as tough as Frodo and The Fellowship of the Ring's quest itself! Best of luck with this, it will breathe a whole lot of new life into Oblivion - indeed, it'll be a complete new game, pretty much! Will it include the music from the films as well?
  18. There's a mod that makes zombies, skeletons etc come back to life randomly, after they've been killed but I cannot remember what it's called. Can anyone help - a link would be super! Thanks in advance. :)
  19. I agree, no more 'essential' NPCs, that's such a lazy cop out!
  20. What I'd like is a feature whereby if you are dressed as an Imperial Guard for example, you don't immediately get recognized, you're a Guard, as far as they're concerned. If you hang around close to one of them for too long, they will eventually recognise you. This feature has been seen before in various WW2 games, it should feature in TES V. Also, physics like Half-Life 2, so if you want to trash someone's house as a Mythic Dawn thug, you can! The unfortunate NPC can then 'buy' read' respawn' the furniture aftewards! Breakable tables, chairs, in fact breakable everything! What do you guys think? Amen to that! It could feature mainly around the Mythic Dawn, with you having the choice to play as them and destroy the world or as the 'good guys' and save it! EDIT: Merged posts. Unnecessary double post. Please use the edit button. - Switch
  21. Ehhh..? You know you don't stay in the Mythic Dawn for long, right? Ah well, enjoy it while you can. But for the heck of it: GREET THE NEW DAY Maybe so, but I'm fully expecting the 'Servant of the Dawn' mod to be extended, or a sequel of some sort being released.
  22. Indeed, she's now at one with Mehunes Dagon, MwhaaahaaahaaahHAAHAAHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE DAWN IS....oh you get the idea!
  23. Yes, I'm going to kill her tonight! Near the beginning of my current game, she refused to pay me because one of her poxy rats was killed. Now, I'm a member of the Mythic Dawn, I've lost all trace of any mercy! THE DAWN IS BREAKING!
  24. Yes, they do, but they walk!!! It takes forever to get to Cloud Ruler like that! I just want to get the most important one (Martin) on my horse and go! Furthermore, in a crisis such as the one in the game, they'd leave for the Temple at breakneck speed, not a leisurely trot! Also, I'd like a lean function in the next game, so you can peek round corners and fire arrows/spells.
