  1. I already have a monitor, so that takes care of that. I also have a mouse and I could potentially get a keyboard for free from a friend. EDIT: My other course of action would have been to get 4GB then upgrade to a GTX 560 2GB video card. Would that upgrade have even made a difference?
  2. Most of the extra price is just peripheral stuff like a keyboard and speakers. One thing I've been wondering though: if I down to 4 GB [2 GB X2] DDR3-1600 Memory Module instead of my current, I can save about $50, which I could invest in a better graphics card. Is this a good idea, or will I need the extra memory?
  3. So I'm thinking about building my own rig to play games like Skyrim and BF3 on. I'm using ibuypower, and building around their Gamer Mage D415. This is what I'm currently looking at: Processor AMD Phenom™ II X4 925 Quad-Core CPU Memory 8 GB [2 GB X4] DDR3-1600 Memory Module - Corsair or Major Brand Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti - 1GB - Single Card Motherboard Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 -- AMD 970 Motherboard USB / SATA Interface Motherboard default USB / SATA Interface Power Supply 700 Watt -- Standard Primary Hard Drive 1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive Optical Drive 24X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive - Black Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium + Office Starter 2010 (Includes basic versions of Word and Excel) - 64-Bit This will run me around US$720 (and it includes stuff I didn't list). Is this a good price for what I'm getting? And will it run Skyrim and BF3 (totally different games, I understand) smoothly on respectable settings. I'm not looking to have graphics that are so good that I can taste them, but I want to save the Minecraft graphics for Minecraft.

  5. Ah, but what if you took your family with you? The family that loots together stays together. That would make a really cheesy sitcom...
  6. Because we'd enjoy that, and God forbid anyone makes a game with gamers in mind, first and foremost...
  7. Wait, there's a mod for children, correct? And Deadly Reflex allows you to cut people in half AND behead them... Talk about extreme parenting...
  8. I had 238 covered, dude. 240: Celebrities are royalty.
  9. 225: The windows are a LIE! 226: Sewers serve no purpose other than a lair for bandits/goblins/mudcrabs/etc. 227: NO! You MUST be the savior of the world! 228: Racism is OK, and encouraged. 229: It's normal to ask people you don't know about necrophilia. 230: Music will always tell you when the s&*% is about to hit the fan. 231: Bow down to the mighty console! 232: Ruined dungeons, that are occupied by people who make a living doing whatever it takes to make a buck, are always stocked up with loot. 233: The cheap shack is more useful than the huge mansion (you don't have to walk 32.8 miles to get to your loot chest) 234: The biggest city's ghetto is full of some of the nicest people in the game. 235: You can't instantly fast travel to a location, even though you know where it is. 236: You can fast travel across the country without ever being attacked on the way. 237: You forget how to fast travel when you're inside. (There's a mod to fix this, I suggest you find it) 238: If Bethesda were to create the borders for America, illegal immigration would stop, until they figured out how to mod.
  10. South. Park. I also enjoy a lot of things on Comedy Central The History Channel, especially Ice Road Truckers, any one seen that? I like Shootout!, Dogfights, Mind of Mencia, King of the Hill, and Reno 911. Has anyone ever seen the FX series Over There? It's about soldiers in Iraq. I think they canceled it after the first season, but I really enjoyed it (even though real soldiers who have served in Iraq say it's terrible).
