  1. You can solve the always having to reactivate Looks Menu thing by checking the box for it in FO4 Edit so it loads it up in there . Right Click it once it has loaded up in FO4Edit and choose ' Add Master/s ' or something like that . And choose and select Fallout4.esm as it's master and then select ' save ' by clicking on the 3 lines of the application in the top left hand corner . Once youve done that and reactivated it once more ( if it's not already activated ) then it should stay activated . Just make sure you repeat the process when it gets updated ( hopefully a new update is around the corner pretty soon so you can get some practice in with this method on the current version ) .
  2. If you do still have performance issues then do as I do and just lower the resolution and set your graphics card drivers to ' no scaling ' . Doing it that way you get a black border around your game screen but it still looks as good as before and looks better than a lower resolution filling the screen ( which would look a little more blurry than usual ) . I find that a much better option than turning the graphics settings themselves down . I dont have to do that for many games anyway , but WWE2k18 is extremely buggy and laggy on any res higher than 1080 p because its a console port so I have to knock it down to 1080 from 1440 . If youre already using a 1080 monitor/tv though then all the better for you with your performance . As far as the downtown Boston issues go you can also get mods that help with the framerate there ( either on Nexus or Bethesda or both ) . And lastly , the graphics card is just about the easiest bit to upgrade in your comp so providing you have enough power that is something for you to look into in the future ( a 1060 if you dont want to spend too much or a lovely 1080 if you have the moolah ) . For now though your system looks good enough to run the game at high levels at a decent res . Any upgrade for you would be more for future games than Fallout 4 .
  3. My game is massively modded ( I barely have room for any more esp's ) and runs well and my specs are i7 4770 16gb ram GTX 980 2tb HD ( I have a SSD for the operating system but I have the games on my HDD ) Your specs seem comparable or better than mine in some areas ( your processor seems faster http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-4770-vs-Intel-Core-i5-7600/1978vs3890 and theres not much to choose between them in the graphics with yours being a Ti version http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-980-vs-GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti ) so basically if I have a ton of mods installed and it runs well then you should have no problem either and I have most of the main graphics on Ultra as well as using HBAO ambient occlusion which looks way better than standard Ambient occlusion . Just dont have weapon debris on and also only have god rays on medium or low because theyre needless frame killers even on good systems . Dont use 4k texture options in most mods either , if you have a choice go for the 2k option and only go for the highest option for textures that are most noticable like Skintones for your character . 4k textures are overkill for most things and are barely noticably better while needlessly wasting extra vram . Also install ENBoost to optimise the resources of what you already have . You might still have some slowdown in Downtown central Boston regardless of your specs but thats mainly due to the game being buggy there so is pretty hard to avoid that but in most of the game it will run nicely . Oh , and don't install the official texture pack either . Its hard-drive consuming , unoptimised rubbish and much better texture mods that use far less resources can be found on the Nexus . PS I also forgot to mention that I use a 1440 p resolution for the game too so as long as youre not using some mega triple screen resolution or something you should be ok on that score too .
  4. Ive already also got Xander's Aid , 50 ways and Project Manhattan . I've thought about America Rising but I managed to keep all the factions alive and doesnt that require you to get rid of the Brotherhood along the way ? Ive also thought about Maxwell's world but from what Ive seen the player isnt voiced and with this game that just kinda destroys the immersion . I dont really know the others so I'll have a look at them . Thanks for the help , I appreciate it . With Heather Casdin , although she's been made really well , the character I use is female and Heather keeps hitting on her everytime they cross paths  so she feels like a bit of a stalker .
  5. I suppose the GTA online part of GTA has a ' reasonable ' character creator but it's a nightmare to work with ( whoever forced that DNA garbage into the character creator rather than just giving you freedom must have been mental ) . Obviously wrestling games have pretty great character creators too .
  6. Does anyone know any voiced quest mods worth trying ( by voiced I also mean the protagonist too as I find the mute stuff like Skyrim jarring now ) . Ive already got Tales from the Commonwealth , Fusion City Rising and Outcasts and Remnants . Are there any others out there that last a few hours ? Ive searched the quest mods category on the Nexus but mods often dont state whether the protagonist is voiced or not even if they say the mod itself is voice acted .
  7. I didn't download the patch today and loaded the game via the f4se_loader and it updated my game ! I thought loading the game via the f4se_loader let you bypass the game updating ?
  8. Thanks but Ive checked the inis and its not Screen Blood I want , in fact Ive deliberately turned that off as I think it's daft . But thanks for your help anyway .
  9. As the title says , when my character gets hit by anything ( or shot by bloatflies ) no blood shows on my character whatsoever . It'll show everywhere else ( on the floor , on walls , on other characters ) but not on my character . A few patches ago it used to but for quite a long time now no blood has shown . Even with Enhanced Blood ( both Standard and Basic ) no blood will show on my character . I've looked at my inis and blood and gore looks on ( and would have to be anyway seeing as other characters get covered in blood and feral ghouls get dismembered ) . I installed a no humanoid dismemberment mod because that silly perk that makes stuff explode in a shower of caps happens way , way too often and everyone was basically exploding from a gunshot . But I installed that AFTER the blood stopped appearing on my character anyway . I did turn gore off prior to installing that and then turned it back on again once I'd got a mod to stop the ridiculous explosive dismemberment . Its that long since the blood stopped appearing on my character though that Im at a bit of a loss for the cause
  10. That happened for me , but I got in by disabling More Dynamic Shadows . So if you have that mod or another mod that alters interior shadows disable it ( dont delete , just in case it's not the cause for you ) then try entering the mine .
