i can get the downloads until the last block. then they all stall at 99%

I tried the save game idea, and when I talk to the kids, I don't get am option to tell them to move. Strange. I even divorced the wife. Got married again (the kids attended the ceremony), and told the spouse to go to my house in Solitude. She showed up, no kids

As I bought better houses, I moved the spouse and the kids followed. All worked fine until I moved from Windhelm to Solitude. Proudspire (Solitude) shows the kids beds as owned, but they're still in Wildhelm after four days gametime. Any ideas? Can I reset the adopted kids back to orphan and re-adopt?

I'm getting the same problem. I've restarted a toon from scratch twice, sit through the blah, blah, blah nd still no Lydia. I agree it must be bug. The first toon I started, I got Lydia right then. I deleted the toon though to start over using lessons learned. Guess I learned another lesson. LOL
