Reading this was the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard of... absolutely absurd. I agree with you Omeletter. I think Skyrim simply needs more bards singing more tunes in more places. Maybe the idea of additional quests and backstories with bards is clutter. Anyway, this is my song "Under the Sign of the Lady." I picture two bards singing outside in front of a building with a few people standing around watching. I was going to post my song "Under the Sign of the Lady" but I re-read a post from my other thread and there was someone who had the same thought I had: To copy "Monty Python's Holy Grail" and have a couple traveling bards following the hero singing tales of his glory. In that movie, they were singing "Brave Sir Robin." In that style, I have created a song that two bards would be playing and singing while following you. Now, this would get annoying pretty quickly so there would have to be an assortment of songs all about praising you while you wander and of course you can have them be silent. I think it would be cool if as soon as you go into battle they sing a song that pertains to battle cheering you on. This would be the main song, it is called "The Strongest and Mightiest Hero." Ahh, didn't know there was already a thread devoted to this... glad I'm not the only one who thinks there should be more bards and songs. I will abandon the thread I originally posted and go off this one. I have a few rough draft songs that I'd like my bard character to have. This is another rough draft song. If there's enough interest to actually make this happen, I will polish the songs to get rid off the hiss and the pops. Also, eventually I'd like to have a second bard who plays the violin and sings next to the original character. This way there can be harmonies and added violin to these songs. Yeah, regarding the pops and the hiss removal, I kinda rushed this thing out. I guess I kinda wanted to show a rough draft of one my songs just to get a little interest in someone helping me to make a bard character. So consider that a preview and I will definitely be making better quality songs - I use Ableton, Reason, and have a microphone.

Tankard of AleOK so I have a full time job but I managed to finish 4 songs in only a day. Well, 3 of them are 80% done, I have one 100% done and I'd like to share that with you guys. I wanted the song to have a very medeival feel while keeping in mind that a Bard with only a basic lute and his voice would be writing this song. Also, I wanted it to be about the culture of Skyrim so it is called "Tankard of Ale." Please let me know what you think of the song. To the OTHER post above, thats really funny that you thought of Monty Python because I had the very same idea... maybe to have a couple other musicians with this bard character to add background vocals and maybe play the violin. They would have the option of following the hero around playing songs like "Brave, brave, brave, brave sir Robin." I could see doing a few hero songs like that. Anyway, let me know what you think of this first song for the character

I suppose using the word "pro" does sound a bit pretentious. How about I'm just a musician who wants to give Skyrim a better bard and I'm looking for help. I'll post one of the songs very soon, I'm almost done with it (working on it now)

At first when I read this, I was very skeptical about a Skyrim fan actually making anything that wouldn't make my ears bleed. However, I was definitely blown away and I couldnt be more pleasantly surprised. I'm a good singer/songwriter as well and have some songs... I want someone to help me build a new character that plays them. This woman's song is awesome but it would sound very strange from a character because there's too much reverb on the voice. Any takers?

Hello fellow Skyrim enthusiasts, I am a pro singer and have actually written a couple decent tunes that sound like they're written on a lute and they're all about Skyrim. Songs about hiding your gold and fighting dragons etc... I liked the bard at the Inn but I didn't love him. Let's give the citizens of Skyrim a real musician. I've got songs to provide, I'm also willing to provide dialogue. I need someone to match the lips, give me a character and match the hands to the chords. Anybody down to upgrade the entertainment?
