  1. I'd like to still receive the the well rested bonus with the effects mentioned in the title of this thread, rather pointless to not be able to do so imo. If somebody could make this a mod or if one exists and I haven't been able to find it, please let me know. Thank you.
  2. For those who are not from the United States it's the Thanksgiving season for our country, a time of year to be thankful for all the people and good things we have in our lives. I would just like to take this opportunity to say how thankful I am to the Nexus modding community and to all the modders out there who work so hard at taking games like Fallout, Skyrim, and others to make them better and more fun for other people to enjoy. Mods are what make these games as great as they are, be they mundane and technical or artistic, to deepening immersion or just making the games bat-s#*! crazy, it's because of people like you that make these games what they are. So to all of you out there, you have my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for everything you have done and continue to do.
  3. I would kill to see the trophy room re-worked to display our - actual - trophies like dragon claws, daedric artifacts, unique weapon and armor sets, etc. instead of just a few stuffed mannequins.
  4. LOOT is showing that Immersive Citizens has two errors. Namely, for patches that don't seem to exist but are required. One is "ELFXEnhancer.esp" for Enhanced Lights and FX, the other is called "ELE_SSE.esp" which I do not recognize. Neither ELFX nor Immersive Citizens show this patch available for download, and I have no idea what the other one could be for. Somebody who is more technically sound than I am, if you could help, it would be appreciated. I keep experiencing CTD's and I'd bet money that these are what's causing them to happen.
  5. I'd just like the option to choose which horse to buy instead of a random one when I assign the task to my steward.
  6. Thank you yian and Pippboss, I'll give Convenient Horses another try, then.
  7. Would the same apply for obtaining Frost or Shadowmere?
  8. So, a little bit of info here: There is a mod on bethesda.net that I've found through SSE's menu called "Better Horses", the author's name on bethesda.net is "paullebrun" but I've been unable to find his mod on the nexus or elsewhere available for download. I want to download the mod and install it through mod manager since the in-game load order manager f*#@s with mods that aren't downloaded through bethesda.net, and the top mount modifying mods "Convenient Horses" and "Better Horses 3" from the nexus don't seem to actually work or change horses in any way that I can detect? So is there a way to pull this file and download it from bethesda.net (I don't see a download button on the actual web page, because of course not) or does anybody know where I can find this author's mod elsewhere that I can download it? Searching for it myself is proving fruitless, but I don't know of any other mod distribution sites other than the nexus. Of course I also welcome and recommendations for other mods that might work as well. This is the page for paullebrun's mod, I'm looking for these particular effects for my horse: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3054061
  9. One of the things that irks me is if I murder somebody I don't like (I'll hang you by your entrails from the cloud district you arrogant son of a....) and get away with it i.e. no witnesses, no guards, no bounty put on my head. But somebody who knew the NPC somehow knows I murdered the person later on and is pissy with me about it. Is there any way to fix this so that if I murder somebody and don't get caught, there are no witnesses, none of it, that the related NPC's don't get pissed off at me?
  10. I see there are a ton of mods that will give you infinite charges of your weapon which is not what I'm looking for. I just want one that improves the number of hits you'll get with your weapon (say on par with vanilla Dawnbreaker as a comparison) so that you get a lot of hits out of your weapon but still have to recharge it with soul gems every so often instead of every two or three hits. Anybody know of a mod that does this?
  11. I uninstalled Skyrim some months ago and now that I'm wanting to reinstall it and the mods I am seeing something odd with NMM: It is telling me that I have more active mods than I even have installed. By a HUGE margin. At present it currently indicates: Total plugins - 33 Active plugins - 24 Total mods - 17 Installed mods - 16 Active mods - 70 I'm guessing this might have something to do with the fact that I used to have some of these mods installed? A lot of them once I download them I have to disable first before it will let me install them. And a few of them that I used in the past with no problems are now encountering errors during installation that I can only guess is because NMM is registering it as already installed even when it's not? I'm bad with technical stuff, can anybody help me clear up NMM so that it doesn't register any mods except the ones I've actively downloaded and installed since I reinstalled Skyrim?
  12. I'm not using those mods, though I appreciate the gesture. :)
  13. One of the things that drives me nuts about going into any of the Dwemer ruins is the carry weight of all the scrap metal you find. The ratio of scrap weight to how many ingots you get out of them is ridiculously disproportionate. I would just like a simple mod that adjusts the items so that they do one of two things: The weight of the item is how many ingots you get. (Example: Solid Dwarven Metal weighs 25, so it gives 25 ingots) - OR - The weight of the items is adjusted down to match how many ingots they give as is. (Example: Solid Dwarven Metal gives 6 ingots when smelted down, so it weighs 6) Anytime I go into one of these annoyingly long dungeons I have to make sure that I only walk in with the absolute essentials on me to minimize the carry weight going in, as well as that of my follower. And I nearly always wind up having to leave a chunk of what I could have brought out with me in the dungeon anyways.
  14. Update, i found the enchanting mod, it's here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2746/? Still looking for the smithing mod if anybody knows which one it is.
  15. I recently had to uninstall and reinstall steam due to an issue I was having with steam causing programs on my computer to freeze up and fail to load basically anything. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled steam (yes I know I could move all my games to another folder, uninstall then reinstall steam and then just pop them back in, but in case the problem wasn't with steam and instead one of the apps, I decided to be safe and just wipe the slate clean. So nobody has to tell me about that, but thank you if you were going to.) and in the process of doing so, have now had to reinstall SSE along with all of my mods. I have since found just about everything I had except for two, and for the life of me I cannot find them again though I did download both of them through nexus so unless they got taken down(?) I know they've got to be here somewhere, and I'm hoping people will be able to point me in the right direction to find them again. 1 - A smithing mod that allows you to upgrade all items including daedric armor/weapons and lower level armor (fur, iron, etc.) to legendary stats without actually changing the base stats of the daedric weapons in order to keep them as true to vanilla as possible. I know it wasn't "Improved Daedric Artifacts SE" (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2055/?) because the mod I was using did not effect the base stats of the daedric artifacts, and it did not change the requirements of mats in order to upgrade them as the aforementioned mod that I linked does. 2 - An enchanting mod that did two things: A - it removed the restrictions on what enchants could be applied to what gear. (So for example previously you could only apply say, Fortify Archery to certain armor slots, this mod allowed you to put it on any armor piece.) B - It also removed charges from enchanted weapons so that you would never have to charge them up with soul gems, an appealing prospect given how painfully fast some of the more powerful quest reward weapons would be drained and need recharging. (Blade of Woe, indeed.) So if anybody happens to know the mods I've mentioned based off the descriptions I've provided and could help me in relocating them so I can install them again, it would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  16. This was one of my favorite mods in Oldrim: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23798/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D23798%26preview%3D&pUp=1 It's "Change Follower Outfits', it basically just let you go in and have full access to everything a follower has when they're accompanying you. I liked it because it allowed me to change/improve/upgrade a follower's gear to better things without sacrificing their ability to help me carry things. I tried installing it through NMM to SSE since the requirements of the mods say it only needs Skyrim, no SKSE or SkyUI, etc. however when I attempted to boot up the game after installation it wouldn't run. This is, imo, a small but crucial and helpful mod that the game is lacking. Or at least, that I've been unable to find despite looking through mods fairly regularly. Is there a modder out there willing to either write a mod similar to this one or make the old one compatible with SSE? It would be greatly appreciated. If there is already a version of this that I have not found please let me know, thanks.
  17. My NMM shows two of the "Unassigned" category folder for Skyrim SE however I cannot delete either of them via right-clicking and selecting the delete option. How can I rectify this?
  18. I'm wondering if there's a mod that allows you to choose which perks you want to start with, rather than the defined presets so like if you create a new character, after you've chosen their appearance you can choose what perks you want to invest your points in that you start with (speech, 1H weapons, etc.) or is this the fevered dream of my mad little mind? The ability to choose which racial (battle cry, berserk, etc.) would be a bonus but I can live with the pre-defined racial abilities if not.
  19. I'm curious if there's a way to change a directory or something to tell NMM when I want to download old Skyrim mods that I want them to be sent to the new SSE folders when I click the "Download NMM" button rather than having to do a manual install of any older mod that I wish to try in the new game. Is it possible to change this setting and if so, how?
  20. Any programs I should get for Skyrim SE to handle the load order of my mods like LOOT, FNIS, etc.? Or will they appear on my mod list in game and I can use the load order in game to handle it there? Also, does anybody know if the Glowing Ore Veins mod for original Skyrim (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/193/?) is compatible with SE? It's one of those "quality of life" mods that makes it less strenuous finding ore veins, since I'm blind enough as it is lol
  21. The title of this thread says it plain and clear: Can I download the current versions of mods for Skyrim SE or do I need to wait for new versions of the mods I like updated for the new version of the game?
  22. Could you please be so kind as to provide a link to this tool you're speaking of? And please bear in mind that I followed the directions provided with tetrachromatic's page for installation precisely, but I'm not the technical-minded sort when it comes to these things which is why I love NMM, just click a button to install and all that, lol. How can I tell how much memory I'm using and how much should be allocated?
  23. The mod that first got me into modding Skyrim was the ENB .305 Tetrachromatic mod ( I saw a video for it on MxR Mods on youtube. However I've had issues with it causing the game to not so much "crash" to desktop as I've never gotten an error message, but the game just closes itself down as if I'd told it to do so. So I figured maybe I should try an older and more reliable version of the ENB series, so I tried Project ENB (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20781/?) since it's older and has more kinks worked out, and only requires .221 to run but nope, same issue. After a while the game might CTD on me. Now I think it's worth pointing out that this has not happened every single time using ENB but it happens frequently enough to be annoying to the point where I'm wondering is it worth the hassle, right? So my question is two-fold: Does anybody either A - Have any idea how to address the issue of the CTD with ENB series mods or B - have a recommendation for a suitable alternative mod or mods that does the same job, not necessarily the latest and greatest but indeed reliable?
  24. I love .305 it's a huge leap up in terms of the environment for Skyrim and it's the mod that got me into modding the game in the first place. My main complaint with it though is that its darker settings, namely the ones for when you're indoors, make it VERY dark and hard to see. This is all well and good if you're inside a falmer cave or whatnot, but even being inside of your in game home or a shop, it is very, very dark. Needing a torch or the candlelight spell to see what you're doing in that situation is a bit ridiculous. Now there is the in-game menu to change settings once you start playing but it is very technical and I am not the technical-minded sort. Is there a means of adjusting the indoor lighting so that it's brighter inside houses/buildings but not so much the caves and crypts? And if so what settings should I tweak and to what level (obviously that's a matter of preference but just looking for a starting point to go from here) to improve it.
