  1. And it closes out immediately? no other messages?
  2. Hmm I'm not sure then. I'm no master at this stuff. I only figure things out as I need to. Hmm, when you get the error message there are 3 buttons I think. Abort, Retry, and Ignore if I remember correctly. Which one do you choose?
  3. what did you add exactly? it should look something like this SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa but with hearthfire added as well.
  4. Exactly which Master and/or plugin files are you trying to open?
  5. Nevermind, I figured out what the problem was. I'm not trying to edit dawnguard directly, I just wanted to change some things about SkyRe. I tried adding the Dawnguard.bsa line but failed to realize I wasn't adding Dragonborn.bsa with it. Adding that fixed the problem completely. So for anyone still having issues make sure you have all of the relavent masterfiles included in the SResourceArchiveList2 section. I'm not that familliar with how forums work but if that advice could be added to the front page of this thread I imagine it would help others who are dumb like me ha ha ha. Also, unrelated but, is there no spellcheck in the comment box? I can't seem to find it if there is one.
  6. I'm having exactly this problem too. I have tried adding the relevent lines to both "SResourceArchiveList" and "SResourceArchiveList2" and it still does not work. The error message seems to indicate it's locing in my C:/ drive but that's not where I have skyrim installed. Is there a way to make it look in the right folder or would that even help?
  7. I'm having an issue whare all of the gimo's are extremely tiny. i went to the prefferences and changed the gizmo size to every size i could think of and it has no effect. if someone could help with this i would be much obliged.
  8. I noticed this hasn't been replied to in a while. I was just now planing on moddifying the mining script as well. I'd like them to respawn faster and wanted to see if i could find any information on that. i may also try to implement a similar feature to what you are describing.
  9. I'm having exactly thhis issue right now on a mod I'm trying to create. I didn't know anything about those other categories for Apparel. It's unfortunate they don't seem to work as that is precisely the kind of category I need to use.
  10. I'm having exactly this issue myself, along with a myriad of other issues that i have yet to get help with ha ha ha. Why can't we all get personal expert PC technicians that just live with us and solve all our computer problems? maybe there'll be an app for that in the future.
  11. I'm still somewhat of a novice when it comes to fixing problems on my own, but the problem is this, Whenever I do anything that would constitue what I understand to be a quest update there is a huge delay in the time it takes for the quest to actually update. for example, I attempted to enter a Brawl with a man in the Tavern in Windhelm, when I clicked the option to start the brawl the dialogue box just stays there. I exited the dialogue box and then several minutes later the man finally started to fight me. this is an ongoing problem with anything at all of that nature (dialogue boxes just hanging there, dragon souls being absorbed, completeing quest objectives etc etc) and I can't figure out how to fix it.

  13. Hello, I'm pretty much a noob at the moment in terms of overall know-how. I've been learning a lot on my own but I've hit a road block. Part of the mod I'm working on is going to replace the normal lockpicks in the game with versions you can use as weapons. But i also obviously want them to retain their ability to pick locks. I know i have to modify some script somewhere but i can't figure out how to find it. and if i did i really wouldn't know how to make the changes i would need to make. i already have a working weapon model of a lockpick complete with crafting recipes and all that. I just can't figure out this one feature.
  14. Oh my freaking god it worked. i was at the point where the only way i could play the game was with all the graphics turned down as low as they could possibly go. now after entering a few ridiculously short lines of text i can push EVERYTHING to ultra. it's incredible man. thank you.
