  1. Yes, as far as I can tell, in order to use our existing mods with the Steam Workshop, we have to uninstall them via NMM and then re-download them through the SW so that we can take advantage of the automatic updating and whatnot. It sucks, but it makes sense.
  2. I looked everywhere for the folder containing my save games, but I couldn't find it. If it helps, I am running Windows 7 and haven't moved anything around since installing Skyrim on launch day, so I'm assuming the save files are contained within the Steam folders somewhere but I still don't see them.
  3. I have a few important questions regarding Nexus Mod Manager and Steam Workshop. I have a ton of mods that I downloaded through NMM. If I want to utilize them through the Steam Workshop instead (so that finding and updating is simpler), do I need to deactivate or delete all the NMM mods first, then re-download them through the Steam Workshop? What will that do to my save games? Should I back them up first? How do I do that? Thanks, and I hope everyone is enjoying Skyrim today!
  4. The SKSE site does have a new version out for the new patch, which I downloaded and installed in the right place, only to find that the items the folder (1.4) contains only has the 1.3 version in it. WTF? EDIT: Okay, so I downloaded the SKSE 1.4.8 beta, copied the files to my Skyrim folder, booted up the game without any warnings popping up, but when I go to check that SkyUI is working, I find that it is not, which means that something is still wrong with SKSE. EDIT: I just downloaded the new version (2.0) of SkyUI, installed it, booted up Skyrim without any warnings popping up again, and AGAIN SkyUI is still not working. What am I doing wrong? Do we just have to wait for an official new version of SKSE to come out? How long will that take? Because I can't play Skyrim until they do.
  5. I'm a newb to the modding scene. I just downloaded the 1.4 update on Steam and when I went to launch Skyrim, Script Extender reminded me that it was conflicting with the new update. Do I need to download a new version of SKSE now? Will all my mods still be running properly after all this? Also, on a related note, will the mods I have now still work once the CK comes out? Or will I have to re-download them?
  6. I have been searching Nexus mods, as well as the Mod Talk forum, for a very simple magic mod, but apparently this does not exist. So I have come here to request it. I can't imagine it would be very difficult: I've been experimenting with different mods that affect the magic system in Skyrim, but have found none that ONLY do these simple things (from character level 1 - 81, and regardless of which perks I have) 1. Increase damage of all destruction spells by 25%. 2. Lower magika cost of all spells by 50% 3. Increase magika regeneration rate (in combat, and out) by 50%. (some armor bonuses for robes and hoods would be nice too but those top three are the main requests). ---- And that is ALL. No checks or balances. No fluff. If someone could accomplish this for me, it would be greatly appreciated. As it stands now, the magic system in Skyrim makes being a mage practically useless.
  7. I've tried Better Magic. It comes with too many checks and balances to counteract increased power. That is not what I am looking for. And for the record, I am also not looking for a magic mod that makes me an all-powerful god either. All I want is three simple things that change percentages a bit. Here, let me be more specific: (from character level 1 - 81, and regardless of which perks I have) 1.
  8. Check Magicka Empowered, its has various ESPs that works togheter or as standalone to tweak the way Magic works. I've tried that one, in different combinations. It doesn't even remotely do what I'm asking for. All I want is those three simple things. NO downsides for "balance", NO extra fluff. Nor do I want those three things increased or decreased by 100%. 50% would be fine.
  9. I've been searching Nexus and experimenting with different mods that affect the magic system in Skyrim, but have found none that ONLY do these simple things (from character level 1 - 81, and regardless of which perks I have): 1. Increase damage of all destruction spells. 2. Lower magika cost of all spells. 3. Increase magika regeneration rate (in combat, and out). (some armor bonuses for robes and hoods would be nice too but those top three are the main requests). ---- And that is ALL. Is there a mod out there that does these things and these things ONLY? Thanks. I ask because being a mage in Skyrim is practically useless because they are so underpowered. I've tried countless other magic mods but none that fit this simple description.
