  1. This is my first attempt at making an outfit mashup. I took a glove mesh from modded outfit 1 and added it to modded outfit 2 in OutfitStudio. This works perfectly in my game, so I wanted to share what I've done. The problem is that whenever you attempt to load the mashup without the original mod the gloves came from, it has no texture. To fix this I copy/pasted all the .bgsm, .dds, and .nif files into my folder but it still didn't work. Through troubleshooting I realized that this was because it was still trying to pull the textures from the old file, not mine. I went into nifskope and re-routed this path, and in nifskope it works. Although when I go into OutfitStudio, once again there is no texture. The paths are correctly written, but something is happening where it refuses to load the textures. I went into the Material Editor as well to make sure nifskope wasn't lying to me and the routing looks correct there too. What would cause the textures to appear as normal in nifskope but then not load in OutfitStudio? Assume I am stupid because I probably am, any help is much appreciated. (FIXED) Okay it was a complete rookie mistake but I finally got it to work. I had considered WHY it wasn't loading the texture, and correctly solved it, but I didn't consider HOW it was viewing the texture. Since this was my first time doing this I was editing these files outside of my game files, assuming that it was pulling the textures from the folder I had sat aside for upload. Therefor it wasn't pulling the textures for my updated .bgsm because I had never put the .bgsm into the game files, just into my desktop file. I knew it was going to be something simple like this. Well, we all have to start somewhere. (NOT FIXED) Okay now I am at a complete loss. Outfit looks correct in OutfitStudio, but now when I try to use it in-game the gloves are missing their texture. Why would everything look correct in nifskope and outfitstudio, but not have a texture in-game? (Actually Fixed) Alright I still don't understand my previous question, but here is what I did: I went back into the .bgsm file and re-routed it to the files in my game folder. Last time I had routed them outside of my game folder, then dropped it in. This seems to have made the difference. Instead of looking for textures\armor\armorname it was looking for textures\textures\armor\armorname. I don't usually ask for help until I'm out of ideas in case it is something really obvious, but let this help another amateur if they ever come across this.
  2. I've recently bored myself with the in-game companions. Don't get me wrong, I like them all, but I want someone to fit more of a custom role for me. What if you could have a custom follower in Fallout 4? There should be a way to spawn, or have spawned upon downloading the mod, an NPC follower which you can them customize the appearance and weapons and such of. Maybe a character creation like the one you get to sue for your Sole Survivor, then the choice of their base weapon (what they default) and maybe a voice? Obviously not a full voice acted, but maybe a choice of different grunts or something. I don't know hardly anything about how to do the modding, but this idea seems really cool to me and I haven't seen anything yet in terms of making your own follower or anything.
