  1. so im trying to mod dragon age origins. whenever i repair DA after deleting the AddIns file, it makes a new one, of course. however when i attempt mod deployment again, it turns the file into a shortcut whose target is the mod staging area in the roaming folder, and i am completely unable to change that target. The destination also doesn't exist. it's also \settings\addins.xml, but that just does not exist in the staging area and when i attempt to add Settings and a copy of the AddIns.xml (copied before it was turned into a broken shortcut) they simply get deleted. what do i do to fix this? am i just gonna have to manually install the mods instead of using vortex?
  2. My courier just showed up with no clothes for awhile :L
  3. What I do is Shift+tab (to access the Steam community) then alt+tab to look at something THEN I click the Skyrim bar thing on the toolbar then alt+tab it to Skyrim again. Always works for me.
  4. I do but I noticed they downloaded. I decided I'd just reinstall Skyrim. See if that worked.
  5. Although I did notice this, usually when I start NMM it automatically does the whole BOSS masterlist thing. But it hasn't been doing that. Could that be what's wrong?
  6. I always download from UK servers. UK servers have always worked for me.
  7. Skyrim was working absolutely fine yesterday, I defragged and verified the files through steam, and it's still not working. I really want to fix this WITHOUT uninstalling everything. Have I just overloaded the mods or...? If I have I can get rid of a few I don't need. I can launch Skyrim through NMM or Steam, I can get to the little window where you change resolutions and such, but when I press play, it starts up then closes instantly. I have a Dell Studio 1500 with an Intel Centrino and it runs Vista. I have a graphics card, but I don't know what it is, this laptop was a gift. I don't know my RAM either, but hard drive has almost 300 gigs in memory. Sorry I don't know much more. But I would like some help soon I really want to play Skyrim. I have also downloaded 1.6 for Skyrim. I'm not sure if that's it or not.
  8. Alright, are you using NMM or downloading manually? I'm going to go ahead assume you're using NMM. When files don't download, I usually use a manual download then add mod by a file.

  10. Well, if a file doesn't download on NMM for me, I just download manually, put that file in the folder I made for manually dl'ed mods and then click the "Add mod from file". This always works for me when I can't download with NMM. So I hope this helps ;D
  11. I haven't downloaded any carriage mods.. Although Guss this would make sense, since I use godmode >.> <.< What I play for the story.
  12. So. When I want to go to a hold I've never been to, but I don't want to run the whole way, I go to a carriage and happily pay the small fines. But now, (for some reason) the carriages don't work. I select a hold and get on the carriage, but it doesn't work. It just sits there and does nothing, and the guy who drives the carriage just says, "Hurry up and get on" and things along that line. Help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. Also, if I need to extract any files, it won't let me extract, it keeps saying that it cannot open it as an archive.
  14. Alright so. I'm not new to Skyrim, but I'm new to modding and.. When I go to put the mods in the data file.. There is none??? I found a data file for Skyrim and put it into my Skyrim folder and moved all my mods there, but on the launcher, there are no mods what-so-ever. Can I get some help please? I'd really like to play with my mods.
