  1. You can use console commands. First, go to UESP Skyrim and find the ID of the Arondil's Journls quest. I believe it is FreeformRiften21. Then you can finish it in one of two ways. The faster way is to type in completequest FreeformRiften21. That ends it but might cause dialogue issues with Vekel later in the game. The better way (as far as I am concerned) is to use the setstage command and go through all the stages. Thus: setstage FreeformRiften21 10 setstage FreeformRiften21 20 setstage FreeformRiften21 30 setstage FreeformRiften21 40 setstage FreeformRiften21 200 As you type in each stage you should get a message letting you know which part of Toying with the Dead you've completed. Using the setstage FreeformRiften21 console commands did the trick, thank you very much MFitz56. :D
  2. Okay, I have the Mod "Legacy of the Dragonborn" installed, and I had to retrieve an item that was located inside Yngvild. I also use an auto loot mod ... and I had forgotten that a thieves guild quest is connected to Yngvild. ( It is has been a very long time since I played a thief character. ) So now I am stuck with all 4 parts of Arondil's Journals on a character who is not a member of the Thieves guild ... nor do I want to join the thieves guild with this character!? I can not drop them or sell them because those journals are locked by the quest "Toying with the Dead". How can I finish this quest without joining the Thieves Guild?

I have been trying that for a bit already, ( Although I have not gone through all hair styles yet. ) but It either clips with the hair like in the picture above or I do not like how the hairstyle looks on my character? And it is not just the clipping on this character, it is a combination of the clipping and the head armour. I already installed the darker Goggle textures and that makes it a little bit better. ( But not how I had hoped for on this character. ) As mentioned in my OP, it never bothered me before with other characters, so this is odd to me that it does with this character. ( Go figure. :confused: )

Okay, I really like the mod Dwemer Goggles and Scouter ... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13133 And till yesterday I had no problems with the Goggle and scouter showing on my characters heads when not in use. But I started a new character and with the armour I am using on her it looks really odd. https://imgur.com/W1LGI8J Now I would like to ask if some one knows if I can do something to make the goggles work without showing up on her head like that. Yeah I could let the goggles stay on her eyes but I do not want that either? I realise I could simply not use the mod, but I absolutely like that it has everything in one. ( I have been using this mod for so long now. ) If there is nothing I can do about it showing on my chars head like that ... is there a mod hidden some where that is like the Dwemer Goggles and Scouter mod? ( But does not show up on her head like that? )
  5. I tried searching on google, but either my google search skills have lessened or there is really nothing to find on it. SOOO hopefully this post will show up for others who search for an answer to the same question as I had. Because ( to add to my already present shame. :whistle: ) my son was watching me while I was trying to find out about the hotkeys in game. And after a short while he was smirking next to me, and then he showed me what he hat seen in the Anti-Mage Hotkey menu spell. It shows that if you hold the button that you want to use for a certain spell from this mod and then click on the correct spell button ... then that is the new hotkey. So now I have set a hotkey for the spell Occulent Sight, and know it, and once I have the other spells I will do the same. So the question is halve answered, but it would still be great if the author had mention the default hotkeys on the description page.
  6. Okay I tried to contact Drazhar753 to ask for some information about his mod "Path of the Anti-mage", but Drazhar753 can not use the messaging system? ( So I was told by the site. ) And there is no forum thread I know of for the mod? ( Not a good thing if you ask me, making a mod like this but no way to ask the author questions. ) So this was the message I wanted to send to Drazhar753 ... Since I can not contact Drazhar753, I am hoping that people who see this post are able to help me out.
  7. Well, for now it does not matter for the moment because I have to start over. ( Aaaahh :rolleyes: ) BUT... it must have happened for a reason, so if any one has any idea as to why/how this could have happened then please let me know?
  8. I have played this game ( The Legendary Edition, or Oldrim as many seem to call it now a days. ) on and of since it came out and never had this happen. I freed Serana, and we reached the boat that should take us to the Castle. But when I click on the boat I get two loading screens, and then my character and Serana are back at the dock with the boat? My load Order: Active Mod Files: I have the latest SKSE, LOOT and MO 2.1.3.   10. Thank you Purr4me, I will give that all a go some day soon. As for FOMM and the Template, I have downloaded both from your links and I will take a look at it. I have never used it before ( For obvious reasons. :smile: ) but I will take a look at it, it should not be more difficult to use then MO I guess. But later this evening I am first going to try and see if I did everything right this time. :smile: Well as I mentioned in one of the posts in here, I am the only one using this computer and as such my Windows 8.1 is on a Admin account. Also it is on my E drive and Windows 8.1 is on my C drive, and UAC has never given me trouble with any steam game. Does not mean that I do not appreciate the advice, do not get me wrong on that. :thumbsup: But should it start causing problems in the future for whatever reason ... can I then simply cut and paste steam and all its games to the root of E drive? Or would it be better to reinstall Steam and all the games. Please tell me I can at that time simply use the cut and paste method? ( And then link all desktop links and such to the new location. ) Because having to reinstall nearly a 193 GB of steam and the games I play regularly, is not a fun thing to look forward to.   11. Thank you very much for all the help and information so far Purr4me. :smile: By using the 32 bit binaries for Boss I finally got Boss working in MO, and it came up with this load order ... Active Mod Files Not completely sorted yet: But these plugins where not reckognized ... http://imgur.com/kpuMEkG Personally I doubt that those marked with green matter where they are placed, so I should be able to leave them after all other mods but before the new Merged Patch I will have to make. Since the load order from LooT in my OP is totally different, I am not 100% sure if I placed those in red in the correct place. ( Although I did not see a warning in Wrye Flash.) ( And that appears to be impossible for me since I have Windows 8.1 ) May I ask a question here? what version of Mo are you running for this game to begin with? Nothing is impossible if done correctly. I am using MO version 1.3.11 for both FO3 and for Skyrim. I installed it separately in ... E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty\ and for Skyrim in ... E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ And I am the only one using this computer so I have an admin account.

  14. While that was a short try ... Boss does not support 64 bit Binaries, at least that is the warning I get in MO when I tried to start Boss? :sad: So since it appears that I can not use Boss instead of Loot in Mod Organizer, does any one have suggestion for a load order for the mods I use? ( Active Mod list is in my opening post. ) Or any thing that might help me finally play FO3 without crashing so fast? By the way this is my system .... ( Guess I should have posted this in my opening post. ) I have done the things mentioned here.   16. Damn are you telling me that LooTs older brother does a better job for FO3? If so then I guess I will start over in a Day or so. Hopefully I will have less problems afterwards, thanks for the link. :smile: EDIT: But on the webpage for BOSS this is mentioned. Is BOSS really better for FO3 when using the mods I have installed?
  17. For the past week I have been busy with getting FO3 to work so that I can enjoy the game without the least amount of trouble. ( Wel it is a Beth game so we know the trouble they can have. :smile: ) Now yesterday morning a friend mentioned the MO for Fallout 3 guides of Dirty Weasel ... https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWMvEg2LxwXbtc-mZT_H9pOwhIdOcMcn9 He mentioned those I think because most of the mods mentioned in those guides ( But not all of them.) where the ones that I wanted to use any way. Now I am not new to modding Bethesda games, I have been doing that since the days of Morrowind. So I did not need to watch the Tools and cleaning guides, but I did watch and followed the rest of his guides. Now after I did all the things in those guides ( Which took a few hours ... I am not kidding here. :wacko: ) I installed a few other mods, and I ended up with this load list ( LooT was used extensively ... just incase some one thinks I did not use it. ) ... Active Mod Files: And this screenshot shows the Priority list in MO: http://imgur.com/2hzTJBX Now I hat no trouble going through Vault 101 ... until I reached the exit ... where I crashed. That on itself is "normal" with many Beth games, so I restarted FO3 through MO and then got out of Vault 101 ... oh goody I can finally play FO3 ... or so I thought!? Every time I get to here ... http://imgur.com/aHXZZQu then I can perhaps walk a bit further, but then when getting closer to Megaton and/or close to that little ruined village close to Megaton, then the game crashes? So I then tried to continue by going right / left on that screenshot, but the crash happens then as well? Also a few times when I did meet a creature in that small area I could walk with no problems ... things really started to stutter when using VATS? And I have Fallout Stutter Remover installed. NVAC would freeze the game for me when the main menu was loading, despite the fact I installed it like Dirty Weasel showed. I have lost so many hours yesterday( And the rest of the week.) by trying to finally get to play and enjoy this game, so these problems with FO3 right now are totally making me go nuts! What freaking more can I do about this!? :wallbash:

  19. Fook. So FOOK is incompatible with one or several mods I installed? ( That would be a shame, seems like a nice useful mo. ) Guess I will have to try it out in a new game without Fook and see if it still happens or not.
  20. Hello everyone, On Sunday I bought FO3 GoTY on steam, and after getting it to work on Windows 8.1 I started looking for some mods. ( Can not help it. :smile: ) After I start the game I saw a few messages of mods initialising ... then after about 48 seconds in the game i get these warnings? These are all the mods I installed with MO for FO3 ... My load order: Active Mod Files: I can not seem to find the cause of these warnings, so now I am hoping some one knows these warnings and might have some ideas as to which mod(s) could be the cause of it? Also on another note ... I got this warning about the hotfix for FOOK? If there is indeed a Open Beta 2, then it is well hidden because I can not seem to find that particullar update?
  21. I never mentioned that I oppose to installing FNIS, I have no quarrel with FNIS. ( How can I, I never used it. :) ) it is just that the mods I have used / am using do not require it, so there never was a reason to install it. :) And why would mods that I have used many times before without them creating the file I mentioned, suddenly start creating a FNIS file? That is the reason why I would like to know which mod does this? I do not like files being created without knowing what does that. ( Despite the fact that this file is harmless. ) As for installing FNIS, well I do not like installing a mod mid game, to many things that can go wrong as you know. ( I will have to wait and see what I will do. )
  22. Yes, I am aware of that fact, I have been using MO for quit a long time. :smile: But the problem is that I do not use FNIS? ( Never have in all my Skyrim playthroughs. ) The name of the file is animationdatasinglefile.txt. And when there is a tilde in front of the name, then that file is opened by another program, like an editor, or, I think, MO. I am very sure that there is no other mod or tool than FNIS which which changes this file, or even pulled out of the meshes bsa. It'S a collaction of behavior/animation data that the engine uses to easier deal with more complicated animations. So no need for anywhere to be used. Except FNIS. :smile: Well it was never present before, and I know it was not present when I created the mods for TES5EditMerged patch and the bashed patch from the override folder, I would have seen it for obvious reasons. So how can a file that most likely is connected to FNIS as far as you are aware of, be created when I do not have FNIS installed? By that definition the file should not have been created when I started my Nightblade character? It must have been created when I started playing with my new char because before I started Skyrim up it was not created yet, I am absolutely certain about that. So one of the mods I use must have created it, even though I have no mods that require FNIS? It is not that I expect something strange to happen, but I do not like "not knowing" which mod does this while there is no need for it? :confused: ( I am picky and strange in that area of human behaviour. :smile: ) EDIT: I just tried to see what would happen if I delete that meshes folder. Well ... turns out is getting recreated when I am in the main menu already. A FNIS file is being created despite the fact that I do not use FNIS? :wallbash:
  23. No you do not, in order to use SiC you need Dawnguard SkyUI and SKSE, you do not need FNIS for it.
