  1. First off, I'd like to state that yes, I KNOW that Skyrim takes place on a fictional planet with no connection to Earth. I get that. That being said, I would like the night sky to be more familiar to me. 1. The moons have a retrograde orbit, meaning they rise in the west and set in the east. I'd like the opposite to be true.2. The geographic pole seems to be somewhere in the northwest, regardless of any maps of Nirn I find (which are fairly inconsistent). We need to set that directly north. The way the sky rotates now, it looks like Skyrim is very close to the pole, but again, the maps are very inconsistent and I imagine it's around the same latitude as Scandinavia: around 60-70 degrees.3. The Sun's path goes directly overhead. Unless Nirn orbits at 60-70 degrees (which would be hell for anything living there), that isn't happening. Its path also needs to change with the seasons.4. The moon is much too large. If you look up, you'll see that the moon appears to be around the same size as a hole in a sheet of notebook paper. In skyrim, it's more of a dinner plate.5. Wrong stars/constellations! We nust need to re-create the positions of thousands of known stars for the skybox. Simple. What we already have: Texture replacers! I've already found mods that remove the second moon and retexture the remaining one and that add the milky way to the night sky. So, yeah. Just putting the idea out there.
  2. Actually, no it didn't. The problem is back.
  3. Wiping my hard drive and reinstalling the OS, Steam, and Skyrim fixed this issue. As well as a lot of framerate and freezing issues.
  4. I have the same problem, it started after I tried switching the language to German. When I got this problem, I assumed it was probably a mod conflict or something and reverted to the English version. When that didn't work, I did a complete reinstall and deleted my initialization files and that still didn't work. I've also tried the borderless windows plugin for SKSE, and that does work, but I'd prefer not to rely on it. AMD FX 4130 Quad-core 8GB DDR3 RAM Win7 x64 ATI Radeon HD 7700 Attached is my mod list as sorted by BOSS and a graph of what my computer does when Skyrim starts. Skyrim runs well in windowed mode, but not fullscreen.
  5. That made it CTD upon initial loading of a save game. Edit: Though disabling then re-enabling all mods seems to have worked. I'll update this if the roblem persists after more play.
  6. I've wasted too many of my off-days trying to fix this by myself. I've waded through dozens of threads, going through every trick in the book to no avail. THE PROBLEM Skyrim will crash to the desktop with no errors when the following conditions are met: I wait past 1am (interior/exterior cells)I sleep past 1am (interior/exterior cells)I fast travelEnter console command "set timescale to 30" (I usually run it at "timescale 1" because I'm that kind of nerd)The computer just wants to f*** with meAlso, when I verify my cache with Steam, there's always one file that failed to validate. I HAVE: Run BOSSUsed TES5 Edit (and followed Gopher's instructions)Optimized textures and .BSAsDisabled autosavingSet shadows/other visual settings to lowSet my system sound to use 16-Bit, 44100 HzReinstalled SteamReinstalled SkyrimInstalled all the latest drivers for my systemRemoved duplicate Skyrim.esm from load order list in appdata/localVerified my cache (always 1 file that failed to validate)PrayedWasted too much time on this s*** LOAD ORDER COMPUTER SPECS ALSO I am using the latest version of SKSE, Uncapper and Fantabulous FXAA , but I added the latter after this started happening.
  7. Exiting Windhelm didn't solve the issue, but when I tried to re-enter the city, a curious message showed up (the dramatic music was still playing, even outside): "You must help defend the outskirts of the city before you can enter." (paraphrased) ...whaaa?
  8. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try them out soon.
  9. So I'm going through the Battle for Windhelm and I've killed Ulfric and everything, but Rikke and Tullius, just...stand there. There's dramatic music playing as if I were in pitched battle, but all enemies in the room are dead and Tullius and Rikke just stand around Ulfric and Galmar's corpses with their blades drawn. I've tried killing Galmar and Ulfric in "quest-friendly" order through console commands, killing and resurrecting both Rikke and Tullius, and teleporting both of them outside using the "moveto player" command, and nothing seems to really work. As always, coming in from a previous save doesn't work, nor does waiting. Short version: Ulfric + Galmar dead, Tullius and Rikke stand around with swords drawn, breathing to dramatic music. Mods: Yes, I'll get out the list if anyone asks and when Steam's community site decides to work.
