  1. Nothing works for me, also the user.settings comes back to normal after i start the game, the DBGConsoleOn=true line is deleteted. Yes, unfortunately that happens, it did to me as well, just try to add it back, after you've loaded the game, then try to use the console `tilde key. Other than that, I cannot think of any thing else, sorry, good luck (I've finished the game, so I'm not here very often lately.
  2. Update: I made a little script mod, (made for myself for this issue), and it has (for now) "fixed" the green-glowing issue. I've finished several quests, change outfits, gear, saves, etc., and the FX issue has not popped-up again (if it does, I'll repost my findings in this thread). I got my mod idea from looking at potential code "pointers", which another mod for an "Red FX" fix (that looked just like my Green FX issue) had: Adrenaline Rush FX Remover - Did not installed it, but I've Endorsed (for the idea), and given Kudos. === - I used W3 Mod Manager (not Vortex) to install my mod, and used Script Merger to merge with my other 79+ working mods. For now my graphic FX issue is resolved. - I'm providing this information and files because I said I would in my last post, if I found a personal fix for my FX issue. * If anyone chooses to use the mod (I made for this issue), I grant no guarantees, (although, it's just three script files, you can always uninstall the mod, and delete the script merges, to revert back to your original mod merges. === Download Link: Gdrive VirusTotal: Result === Q: Why not create a mod page on Nexus for this mod? A1: This mod was created to fix this "seemly-singular" for myself gameplay issue, but if it helps someone in the future (could happen), that's cool. A2: It may be only a temporary "fix", and the issue could pop-up again down the questing road. === NO ELECTRIFIED GREEN GLOWING WITCHER.
  3. Wow (I'm speaking to myself) now... For a game from 2015, truly no other player has ever had this issue? Here I was thinking that the Internet had most of the information to offer, on just about everything... wrong. - Or even someone with an idea of what this Electrified Green FX is supposed to be in the game. I mean, this electrified-glowing body light-show can't be something the Dev's added on purpose. -Sarcasm. === So far, I have not been able to find any in-code issue "pointers", or a texture file (maybe it's a FX animation - really screwed, probably. WolvenKit-7 won't convert the uncooked *.xbm texture files for me into an editable image file, so that's not helping to find this green FX), or to edit them to fix this. === If I find an answer, I'll post the fix to this issue here, so others will have someone they can thank and provide some kudos. :D
  4. Hello, Here’s my current play-nemesis (this is a still frame of a disco-ball-neon-green-flashing Hell-scape) It is not a fog, it's an electricity-field moving all around his body: I’m having a bit of an issue with this cyber-green-neon FX not stopping after using the clear all potion or FX removal mods. === I have these mods installed/uninstalled, and have set all the game and mod settings, change clothes and gear, etc. Trying to stop this green FX on Geralt, it’s maddening. What’s going on (a fix or a better idea, please). === I’m only listing (my Steam install) patch 4.04 mods with possible FX graphical options, which I've installed or had installed, and none have helped with (this FX issue), (listed here in no particular order). 1. God Mode - Play How You Want To - NG 4.04 BETA45-7249-8-0-0b45-4-04-1689848983 – Yes, there’s an update… but it’s only for Korean language support, so I’m staying put with the English language install. 2. Disable Mutation Glow All in One Next Gen-8451-1-0-1692029777. - uninstalled. 3. All Perks Always Active - Additional Perks-7256-4-03-1688818614. - mutation stuff, issue? 4. CleanScreen - All in One-7233-3-1-1-1683855216. - my eyes need this mod. 5. No Potion Drinking Screen FX-7348-1-3-1691427674. - uninstalled. 6. Disable Glow Effect Only-1587-4-00-1673126884. -uninstalled. 7. Some FX file (where to start) which I could edit in WolvenKit-7, to remove this effect visually? === I was hoping that the 2, 5-6th mods would be the fix I’ve needed - nope. I HATE this Cyber-Witcher FX, it causes motion-sickness symptoms when playing for a long time, “the flashing”, and it makes Roach look weird, flashing her neon saddle-lights under the Witcher’s ass. === Sadly, these mods weren’t the fix either, and I have a 112+ hours in the game, I’m not restarting (but I might uninstall a few extra mods/tweaks if that would help). I have no other FX mods for weapons, clothing, etc. I don’t have an old-save without the green-neon issue. I wouldn’t know how far back (auto-saves) I’d have to go, (I think this started in the “Get Junior” quest, first started this quest 100 hours in). I don’t know, I’m outta’ ideas. === Any helpful explanation of what may be causing this “green-flashing-light-show”... for I’d like to burn this “feature” (what is it) with Hell-fire, and get back to playing. Thanks!
  5. Try this console code before you try to "dive deep" for treasure, and then enter the code again in the console, after you're done swimming and playing God to turn it off. Information : To enable God Mode in Witcher 3, enter the following command into the console: Type (lowercased): god Then tap the Enter key === After enabling god mode, you will be invincible, and not take damage from any enemies, falls, etc. You can disable it by entering the command into the console again (it's a toggle command). === PS. I don't know what key to use to bring up the console if you're not using a English language keyboard, but on an English language keyboard, tap the ` tilde key to bring up the console overlay and tap it again to close it after you're finished entering your codes. Good luck.
  6. CaptainCrunch said in another mod post somewhere on Nexus: "Well, this isn't a mod, just a quick tweak to disable that horrible effect while using witcher senses. The FOV and the effect when using witcher senses/focus always made me very motion sick, so I took a look at the ini files and found a way to turn off this horrible effect". Just go to bin\config\base\gameplay.ini. Open the ini and look for this lines: MotionSicknessFocusMode=false now set it to MotionSicknessFocusMode=true There you go, that blurry effect on the edges of you screen is gone, no more motion sickness and now you can even use witcher senses as a tool for better exploring your surroundings since it still does zoom in. If you liked this little tweak, download the attached Readme file and endorse. Cheers, mateys  CaptainCrunch I say: Thanks CaptainCrunch, and anything to remove any other Motion Sickness "starters" away, is a good thing.
  7. Your mods.settings file is invalid. Unrecognized value on line 4 - DIY - FIX C:\Users\*your_username*\Documents\The Witcher 3\mods.settings Pattyooooooo said: "Hello, just started playing Witcher 3 and I've downloaded the mod manager and the script manager. I have 9 mods and when I run script manager it says". The error in Script Merger: "Your mods.settings file is invalid. Unrecognized value on line 4" === The cause, issue and the fix: Eastern-Peanut-9055 said: "Hey guys, I found a fix. At some point in time you must have used Vortex or any other mod manager other than Witcher 3 Mod Manager. Every mod in the mods.settings has an additional unneeded fourth line". The line starts with the keyword " Vk= ..." Go ahead and delete all of those Vk= lines. They don't do anything but break your game. === Doing this fixed the line 4 Script Merger error notice for myself, after having to use Vortex to install the Nude Witcher fmod installer which Witcher 3 Mod Manager could not handle. I thought I'd post this tip "fix" for others that don't read Reddit posts (where I found this info), and as it helped rid the issue for myself. :D Good luck.
  8. Yeah this a year old post, but helpful information is timeless. === FYI: Because everyone has read the Nexus posting rules, and knows that this is a English speaking site, here's what Google Translate says what was written: "can someone make a mod to eliminate bandits or something like that" === You can try this option to rid those pesky bandits. === Type this code into the debug console (if you've enabled it). killall(20) This console command would kill all enemies within a distance of 20 yards === Don't have the debug console enabled, check out my post here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/13123983-debug-console-with-v404/ Good luck.
  9. I agree, I miss the OG oldgen 1.32 version of the FOV mod (broken for next gen patch 4.04 and will not be updated). https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/807 === I'm really hit with the NG nextgen up too close camera, oh... the freakin' motion-sickness-wobbles I feel starting, when I'm searching inside homes, etc. I think I'll try this mod just for the FOV camera range options (maybe the other non-camera options can be turned off)? https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8357 Play update: That mod made it worse, so no simple FOV mods for NG 4.04 yet. Update 8-15-23: There's a new "updated" FOV mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/8470 I'm going to try that one, maybe the FOV mod Gods have granted options for NG 4.04! === It works, yay! :D A quick tip on installing it, although these instruction were included in the mod's zip (although people won't see it just using a mod manager to install the mod). TIP: For users just trying to just install this mod with a Mod Manager, do it AFTER adding the items below, then install the mod, and then do a Script Merger before playing. The mod is working for myself, I knew ahead of time from past installs of mods with added .xml and setting entries, to do what I've stated (learned from mod install failure). === Here's what I did to have the mod work as advertised. === Make sure to add this into your user.settings file found here: C:\Users\*your_username*\Documents\The Witcher 3\ [modFOVTweak]modFOVTweakExplorationFOV=70modFOVTweakSailingFOV=80modFOVTweakHorseFOV=70modFOVTweakSprintingFOV=80 Also: Make sure to add modFOVTweakConfig.xml; into both the dx11filelist and dx12filelist files found here: *path_to_your_game_install_directory*\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\ Add this somewhere towards the top, for example under the hdr.xml; statement. This would look like this: hdr.xml;modFOVTweakConfig.xml; SAVE BOTH MODIFIED FILES AFTER EDITING
  10. Hi, You could try using this mod (I'm using it). If you are on patch 4.04 use the modExtendedViewDistanceNonAO version found under: MISCELLNOUS FILES. https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1672 Good luck.
  11. Hi, Yes, I'm running patch 4.04 and I can use the console to add codes. === Here's something you can try, I use VS Code to edit these files, but you can use whatever text editor you have, for example notepad. For example: addmoney(1000) gives you $1,000.00 You might try to do this (MAKE SURE TO DO A BACKUP COPY OF THE MODIFIED FILES FIRST): * I always create a .zip file of modified files before editing them, you can keep them in the same folder, just incase something goes sideways. === Open your *path_to_your_game_install_directory*\The Witcher 3\bin\config\base\general.ini Search for General, and add DBGConsoleOn=true <- below the information already in there. [General] ConfigVersion=5 DBGConsoleOn=true Then: SAVE THE FILE - Toggle on/off the console using the ` tild key (to the left of the number 1 key on a English language keyboard), accessing the console when you want to add a cheat or gameplay bypass, items, ect. === Open your C:\Users\*your_username*\Documents\The Witcher 3\user.settings Search for General Make it read: [General] ConfigVersion=5 DBGConsoleOn=true Then: SAVE THE FILE - Toggle on/off the console using the ` tilde key (to the left of the number 1 key on a English language keyboard), accessing the console when you want to add a cheat or gameplay bypass, items, etc. === You'll know if the console is working, when you tap the ` tilde key and an overlay pops-up over the in game screen, and then after entering your code tap the Enter key and again the ` tilde key to close the console overlay. If that doesn't work for you, I don't know if using a mod would. I don't use a mod in patch 4.04 for the console, so I could not recommend one. Good luck.
  12. It has also been suggested to try using the portable version of MO2. The version where you have to install a new copy for each game you want to work with. This version may bypass whatever the issue might be as all files will be located within the Mod Organizer folder rather than spread about in AppData and other locations. I think this version is an option that can be selected when installing the program. Not too sure as it has been a while. Skyrim AE modding on 7-20-23, and I'd just like to say, that this information helped fix an issue I had with an FNIS error. Delete C:\ProgramData\USVFS if it does exist.* The error I had: "cannot find Unhandled USVFS proxy exception (line 112)" So thank you for the information, back to modding for me. :)
  13. Hello 2023 Witchers', It's been a while since I've tried to mod Witcher 3. I just bought the Witcher 3 Complete Edition v4.03, and would like to merge some mods "manually". Although, I've run into an issue, I need to know which tool can I use to extract, mod, and pack a ".w2phase" file. * Update: Also, add a how to extract, mod, and pack a ".w2ent" file in 2023, please. I have... ModKitchen quickbms Witcher 3 Mod Tools - Modkit WolvenKit-7 Witcher Script Merger I haven't been able to figure this issue out, any helpful (2023) information on the ".w2phase" and ".w2ent" files is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  14. Hi Divius666, No, I did not learn how to do what I asked in my first post. Sorry. Also, I do not have any Witcher games installed, so I'm not "mentally tune-in" to what I was wanting to achieve back in October 2019. :) Good luck
  15. How do mod creators create new en0.w2strings encryption_key and key and text ids for mods? Tool? Example I'd like to do that myself but I do not know how. I've extracted a copy of the original en0.w2strings file to edit/create a new modded one. I'd like to add my own custom id numbers to a custom .w2strings file but I do not know the correct way (the instructions) to create the new encryption_key, item key and text ids. Thanks in advance P.S. I've asked a mod creator this same question, slightly a different way, but I've not received any response. I thought I'd ask for more help here. If I'm taught how to accomplish this, I'll add what I've learned to the other post so more people will learn this skill as well.
  16. To answer my own -late to Witcher 1- modding questions... Q: Can I install individual mod folders for each mod into the Override folder and they will work? A: Yes, but make sure to read the mod description page as well as any information files that are with the mod. ----------- Q: Or will I have to have all the individual mod folders files extracted into Override folder in a great big mess to work? A: No, but some mods will not only have to be added to the Override folder loosely but some will have to be added within the main Data folder loosely and/or within their own folder in the main Data folder but not the Override folder. Crazy. Here is a picture of my Override folder with mod folders I prefixed with z_ and also loosely extracted mod files with mod text files explaining what is extracted. https://postimg.org/image/9mtj2g1px/ ------------ To anyone who reads my post good luck with your modding. I hope this will help out.
  17. Hello Nexus, I know I'm really late to the Witcher 1 EE but, now that I've completed Witcher 3 - I'm going back to 1 then 2. I've found some mods on the Nexus that I would like to use but, I see that this Override folder is going to be a nightmare to keep track of which files go to what mods so, would like to ask some questions before using mods. ------------------ Tip: What my questions are about -folder structure and keeping things in order in the Override folder. Here's a picture of the mod folder structure I would like to use in the Override folder... https://postimg.org/image/l0as0w3ed/ ------------------ Can I install individual mod folders for each mod into the Override folder and they will work? Or will I have to have all the individual mod folders files extracted into Override folder in a great big mess to work? Thanks for any helpful information! ----------------- P.S. -RANT- Wow the Witcher 1 EE is really nothing like playing Witcher 3 - I tried to use my Xbox 360 controller and It was horrid. The mouse and keyboard game play is very stressful for me compared to the smooth play of using a controller. -END OF RANT- [ :D] P.S.S. - But I like the story so far.
  18. Let it be known that I've finally finished the game. I just wanted to give a Big Thank You to all mod creators and people on the Nexus that helped me complete the Witcher 3 - The Wild Hunt GOTY! The game had its bugs and glitches here and there but overall a great experience. Thank you all. Now on to Mass Effect 4 - Andromeda :D
  19. Hello again, Disregard my questions - I'm just going to use the two mods (un-merged) - they were to be (manually merged) - (Not with script merger) to add to my new manually merged mod folder pack to beat the pathetic mod folder limit. :( On to other things...
  20. I've tried all my examples and none of them are the correct formatting to load the game, so I'm lost. :(
  21. Hi magoo2851, Just another coding website to learn code from. https://www.programiz.com/cpp-programming
  22. Hello Nexus, Correctly merging two different mods if statements at the same code location - question? Which formatting is correct to merge the two if statements marked between my "start" and "end" comments? Shields by ScoutBr0 - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2356/? modshield\content\scripts\game\projectile arrowProjectile.ws ------------- Powerful Reflected Arrows by Percival Dickenbutts - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1694/? modReflectedArrows\content\scripts\game\projectile arrowProjectile.ws -------------- What's the correct formatting to "merge" these two if statements to work within the code block that otherwise matches both files. if( arrowSize.Y > 0 ) if( StrFindFirst( this.GetName(), "arrow" ) != -1 ) Are any of these examples correctly formatted for the merge or will the code need to be formatted another way to work? -------------- --------- Thanks
  23. Also, I found this info while searching for a Witcher 3 file types I did not know of, this post helped me, it may help you as well. http://forums.cdprojektred.com/forum/en/the-witcher-series/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/mod-discussions/56636-found-some-info-while-using-the-witcher-3-mod-kit-that-might-help-modders-understand-the-witcher-3-file-systemod-kit-that-might-help-modders-underst
  24. Hi skylix1243, TIP - Install the latest version - This forum topic links the latest version I linked below. http://forums.cdprojektred.com/forum/en/the-witcher-series/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt/mod-discussions/125183-modkit-is-currently-broken/page15 Download the latest version of Modkit 1.3 http://wpc.4d7d.edgecastcdn.net/004D7D/mkt/archive/Modkit1.3.zip Download page needs an https update, so you get a error from Chrome. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/4b07ba56ae3d65b8fb6fc084a4b5ed3a0996a1560a35639c3335c2bc5503be00 -------------- Sorry but... A Re-install of ModTools 1.3 to C:\Witcher_3_Mod_Tools - This would make things easier, also notice the format of the program folder - It has spaces. Problems I spotted in your image: https://postimg.org/image/fszrfay8j/ Dead link 1. wcc_lite location - Directory: C:\QuickModding Tool\Witcher 3 Mood Tools\ This program location has - spaces - in the name, wcc_lite does not like spaces or . in folder names. Try reinstalling and change location to: wcc_lite location - Directory: C:\Witcher_3_Mood_Tools\ ------------- 2. Uncooked location - Directory: C:\uncooked - the witcher 3\ Sorry again you have - spaces - in the name, wcc_lite does not like spaces or . in folder names. Easy fix: Change the name of the folder to: C:\uncooked_the_witcher_3 ------------- I don't use Mod Kitchen - so good luck with that. ------------- If your wanting to uncook your base game files and dlc you can try using my .bat file text I used to uncook the base game files myself. (You'll need to do this for some of the tools on the Nexus for modding the Witcher 3 game). Here's my pastebin link to my uncook_witcher_3_wild_hunt.bat file text to add to a new text uncook_witcher_3_wild_hunt.txt file you'll create from the text you download from pastebin, then you would change the extension of the new downloaded text file from uncook_witcher_3_wild_hunt.txt to uncook_witcher_3_wild_hunt.bat and run it. Warning - this bat file was setup for my own needs, do not use it without editing it for your own needs, use it as an example only for the formatting, thanks and good luck. https://pastebin.com/PfjYAWw8 Updated link fix error Again good luck! I hope my information can be of some help.
