  1. In response to post #24573929. Youknow what? I'm sorta fine with what Chesko is doing now. Not really because of most of what he said, but just the simple idea of it being a timed exclusive rather than a total exclusive. That actually sorta goes a long way to making the proposition sound better, but of course it doesn't change much of my stance on the cut Steam is getting overall.
  2. I... I sorta have mixed feelings on this, and I feel it mostly comes down to how Steam handled the launch of the system. If this were a new but anticipated game where modding was hinted at and Steam did the paid mods thing as it's flagship for the system, we'd likely be talking about this still but not quite in the vitriolic fashion we are currently. I feel the main stigma that has been attached to this program is that it's been applied to a game which already had a thriving modding scene without paid mods. Frig, even if it was Bethesda I still think we'd be far less vitriolic about this if it was attached to an upcoming title rather than an existing one. Just my thoughts on this. As a side note, I might not have any mods at the moment but once I actually come up with a mod worth putting up on this site it will infact be free to download. Just a little solidarity from me.
  3. So I was playing some mods with Hearthfire incompatibility, so I switched Hearthfire off in my data files. When I finished the mod and decided I liked having Hearthfire better, it didn't show up in the data files list. There's two .ghost files in my Data folder that usually denote that the file is there but switched off... It's just that the regular Hearthfire files are gone. Is there some way to get those files back without deleting all my mods or repurchasing the DLC?
  4. I think the biggest issues will be the Magic, Shouts and AI sections.
  5. That might actually happen, as far as I can tell, after certain quests or killing enough regular Thalmor, the regular patrols do attack you on sight. And they have a little note on one of them that explains that.
  6. So basically, turning the Black Star from a boolean "Full/Not Full" to a integer value of souls. Seems like it might be possible.
  7. I think that perhaps the best way to go about this would be to ruin most of the cities and don't make any weapons and armor appear in leveled lists. That way you have to build your equipment from scratch from resources you find like natural ore veins and animal hides.
  8. But which moon? And how does that work with the moons decaying and regenerating as their cycles?
  9. It seems that Odahvinng can't be called to Solstheim because it's not in the Skyrim worldspace, where Odahvinng usually flies from a specific location to reach. Durnhavir is ablee to be summoned because he works like a regular summon in the way he enters.
  10. I'm voting for Puzzle, but not a puzzle of any importance, because I think the runes on the lids lead to one of the other jars.
  11. For location, there's a few interesting spots that I can think of: Windhelm: On the Windhelm side of the river, across from the farms and next to the docksRiften: The big area of forest on the northern sideWhiterun: Up the mountain from Honingbrew MeaderySolitude: The marshes or down near the farmMarkarth: The hill across the bridge from the main gate
  12. See, I tried that as well. I also tried removing SKSE mods and launching with the regular launcher. I still have the dragon soul absorb problem.
  13. This would be interesting, but only if we can screen the types of fanfictions we get. Also, perhaps the fanfictions would appear mostly in Apophyca leveled lists?
  14. I think the best way to solve this once you've chosen a power is to just read the Black Book in your inventory again.
  15. Oh, and the water level is not universal over the dungeon, each room has it's own water level. I love the effect of the control cubes.
