  1. One option that seems to work is to take a standard activator and mod it to use some other mesh... done it with the infimary to use the std medkit box instead. Also done it with the nukalamp and the std desk lamps vs slapping a switch on them
  2. Just trying to get an idea of what most really look for in hideout/home mods for fallout 3 Complex or simple ones, mostly going to be doing simple style ones but looking into what features to include as I go
  3. That was what I meant, set them to phantom with preset mesh gravity/wind settings. A hack ontop of the havok engine to simulate what havok doesn't allow for
  4. it's a shame hair can't use the flexi prim settings like in sl which is based around a highly modded havok engine.
  5. Ah, open the geck. Select data files to include the fallout3.esm Under gameplay there is a scripts option on the top menu. Using it go to open and scroll down to the script, make the changes Save changes by closing the editor part, then save it as something like "nowaitlab" If I get a chance I may upload just that change to the site.
  6. in the HD00Labscript change: if ( HDLab0 == 1 ) if ( GameDaysPassed - HDLabTime0 >= 1 ) Set HDLab0 to 2 endif endif to if ( HDLab0 == 1 ) Set HDLab0 to 2 endif and once you start it brewing, you simply activate it again to get the chemical it brewed
  7. I use painless due to the ammo, but carry the repeater as a backup for harder targets (conserving ammo for it) Now once I run the pitt and get the ammo press... I convert all the spare scrap metal and ammo I got into ammo for the repeater (well balanced out between the three rifles I carry)
  8. not too hard to do, just remove the script sections in the lab script referencing time I'll take a look at it laters
  9. if it is not ment to respawn in her inventory add it to her npc inventory under actors, may need to do it by breaking down the quest for the themes in the geck and doing it through there (else it will be available before you earn the house)
  10. for starters it's a crowded wasteland... hard to find spots at times to build new stuff (one reason I keep tinkering with underground locations) Though I am considering a major mod that puts in an offshore island home (but makes it really hard to do a fast travel there... but works like point lookout) Though right now I am looking at the area behind rivet city... might set up a house mod of some sort back there and already have a couple up (Bunker Gamma Four is kinda on hold for a bit as i work on the story parts, and silo house is being tweaked a good bit [likely using some of what I did there in BGF] ) But my next house mod of sorts is definitely going to be simple as well... but with lots of surprises.
  11. Just because you have a bad experience does not mean everyone does, for all we know you could easily be a shill for Beth's competitors trying to badmouth them to ruin the market share that fallout :NV will take from their games. Any bit of software can crash, I've had notepad break hard enough to blue screen a system. Check you gear (meaning more than drivers... like clean out the dust, run memory tests on the ram, check the fans, HD checks, etc) Check your settings, many times I've dealt with people that had everything turned to 11 on a system that the game recommends 5's and 6's instead Check for background programs that may conflict... you might be shocked to find one of them is the true cause of your problems
  12. you have the book everyone wants the book, so expect talons and other assassins coming for it... anywhere and anytime
  13. I want to see about making it possible to pick the radio station that plays when you activate a radio or to change it
  14. It's a type of power armor from the free quebec sourcebook... and trying hard to find an image or two to show (got plenty of the glitterboy armors but none of the glittergirls on the web) Edit: scored a buddy's copy and scanned in the pages. so here are links to the pics 1 2 3 4
  15. I was thinking of feminazed body armor and then it hit me the glittergirl armor would be perfect. unlike the glitterboys it didn't have a built in gun but was designed to be light and fast (though the glitter part I could do without if needbe) In fact making all the rifts armors might be a nice thing too.
