  1. Really, I did not know that. It looks like it has been pretty neutral to me with a few high profile exceptions. Guess I'm wrong, though.
  2. I support the idea that Nexus should take no side in anything and only connect people of all stripes through modding. That said, standing back cannot be an excuse after the decision has been made to take sides in some conflicts and not others. My personal wish is for Nexus to reaffirm their neutrality and take no political stances, because otherwise silence becomes a stance too.
  3. I still like Wildcat and use it in combination with Valhalla Combat and Chocolate Poise. Wildcat has a fun injury system and attacks of opportunities (bonus for hitting enemy during vulnerable moment like drawing a bow), which some of the newer mods do not have. It also includes AI. Valhalla has a good timed blocking and stamina system. Gravitas SCAR Combat is a good new alternative in combination with Deflection. It might be useful to know what effect are you going for. Heavy and impactful or light and flashy like in an MMO?
  4. It is either True Directional Movement or Better Third Person Selection, from memory.
  5. You might like Simple Inn Bath if you want an actual bathroom available during your travels.
  6. There are two types of terrain textures in my game, some with complex parallax and some without. Some of the regions without do not appear to have parallax options (e.g. Bruma). I have read that once the terrain parallax feature is checked in ENB, all terrain textures must be parallax or there will be a spiky looking appearance to the non-parallax textures. I confirm this happens to those textures. Is this still necessarily the case? The mod Auto Parallax fixed a similar problem for objects, but I could not find any so far for terrain. It seems for as long as I have regions where no parallax option can be acquired, I have to keep to flat textures for all regions to prevent this bug. Has anyone found a way to have some terrain textures complex parallax and others flat without producing the stalagmites?
  7. I would load all active mods in SSEEdit and see if anything makes a change to the name of the worldspace. You could ask the STEP forums, too, since they are responsive and have developers of the tool there. Edit: fixed sentence
  8. What is the issue with cleaning? I used quick auto clean (there is a plugin for MO2 where you can select many at once to automate it) on all CCs and main game files. So far I have found superstition for the argument not to clean, and a couple of manuals written by experienced people have argued it is fine to do (one is the DynDOLOD manual).
  9. Blind Rage - Brawl Anyone https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28686 I've been using it for a while and it works perfectly so long as other bugs have been prevented/squashed that turn brawls hostile. You should use the Modern Brawl Bug Fix as well. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1473 Other mods you might be interested in: Brawl Lines Expansion SPID Unarmed Scaling (ESL) Unarmed Weapon Speed Scaling and Unlocked Movement Fists of Fury - Skyrim
  10. Your method has produced a clearly better result comparing side by side with the same track converted through Yakitori and the .wav source. It ultimately sounds a little thinner, but that is with close listening. I'm happy with this result. Thanks! Oxygen free cables are passé, I have developed powers of telepathy for direct listening that bypasses imperfections of the ear :P The file I am using now is a 16 bit 44.1KHz wav. It's a really nice song for the main menu and I couldn't stand hearing the artefacts on the low notes (the track is Traust by Heilung).
  11. Thanks for the link! I tried it and now I think it is just an unfortunate limit of how good xwm can get.
  12. I have modified the main menu to have custom music, but the sound is bad quality when converted to xwm. Using a wav file causes CTD. I am using Yakitori audio converter with wav, mp3, and FLAC source files. I have adjusted the various settings to no good result. Does anyone know if there is a way to play better quality sound in the main menu?
  13. You can try No Grassias or Generic Grass Limiter (optional in Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods).
  14. Does the game start when ENB is not installed? Maybe you should try a CrashLogger mod and see if it turns up something helpful. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818?tab=files
  15. The main menu background changes depending on the location the player last saved in. Saved in Solstheim before quitting the game: next start will have a user-defined Solstheim background. Organised by folders. If no wallpaper detected for a region then a default shows.
  16. How did you install the download from enbdev.com? Did you extract only the contents of WrapperVersion folder into your Skyrim directory? That's how it should be done. Did you download all of the requirements of those mods (and for your right game version)? You should be able to fix it by peeling back your mods like an onion uwu
  17. I agree that it is not professional to put remarks in, but they occur while the game is loading and helpless, and modding is not a professional setting anyway. For me, it is no harm and no bother. I even kind of like the quaintness of the phrases, e.g., "sweet lies" and "bitter truths". I think it came about as part of some drama that I am not privy to, but I know that the Redditors are set against him and maybe he feels a little miffed for people's ingratitude. Modders are human, after all, and not factories that simply produce for free. So, yes, I agree it is bad practice, but it is no harm in this case, and it is regretful there is an animosity going on that might be the cause.
  18. In order to play the game more, a simple QoL mod could be made that restores player alertness according to player character sleep time. The quality of the restoration is improved if sleeping in inns or homes. The mod may have a secondary function that grants the player nutritional fulfilment upon consumption of food by the player character. There will have to be a configurable limit to prevent sickness from suddenly consuming ten sweetrolls, a wheel of cheese, and five bowls of salt. This would strengthen the player character in a fun and balanced way by helping to factor out the weakest link.
  19. I recorded my configuration using this tool: https://archie-adams.github.io/keyboard-shortcut-map-maker/ Check it out!
  20. My guess is that you selected an option when reinstalling Windows to keep the user files. I haven't reinstalled Windows 11, but in the past there was an option to wipe and do a clean reinstall or to 'repair' and reinstall only system files.
  21. Maybe this will help: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32269 Read the description, too. It tells you how the bug happens in the first place.
  22. There is a cast spells from horseback one. I have used it. I will try to find the link for you. Edit: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/81270?tab=description I use the no spell version. Works well. No dual casting.
  23. Well done on your good news! I don't understand your question, though.
  24. Those plants are in the Update.esm of Skyrim. If you install More Informative Console, you can click on anything you do not like and see its Ref Form (Form ID). You can then type disable for it to disappear in the current game and confirm to yourself you selected the right object. Typing the form ID in SSEEdit, you can jump to its record and copy it as an overwrite into a new plugin. From there you can set its flag to be Initially Disabled, so it never shows up in future games as long you have that plug-in you made active. I got started for you removing the plants in the screenshot. No Grass in Objects and other fixes for grass do not impact plants and thickets. More Informative Console usage Inside SSEEdit esl (will not contribute to your plug-in limit) https://mega.nz/file/pLkHDISZ#4JgqPih5pHLxysJ5B_AezId9mfXJSIK7Qqz3Xso73TU
