About Jaguarnaut

  1. I stopped reading and thinking about your problem right there.
  2. These quest bugs are NOT new and are NOT because of mods. They are all a result of the same problem with the game engine, most likely as they are all the same essential issue: A quest refuses to advance, usually because the needed NPC (which included Alduin, in my case) does not appear or does not respond... It seems the coding is sloppy and the game just randomly drops its scripts whenever it feels like it. Events, including your advance in the game, seem to have a probability of occuring rather than being scripted to occur. In this manner , the bugs only occur in some games, making them hard to track down . You can report the bug in some forum, then somebody else will post saying the quest works fine for them, and people will ignore you, thinking you screwd up. Imagine how impressed I was when , afte a long and hard adventure, I found The Elder Scroll and went up to The Throat of The World to receive the vision, Alduin never showed up , the vision was stuck and I was forced to reload and re-watch this stuck scene over and over trying to get it to conclude. Didn’t work, had to bring up the console to force the quest to advance. Yeah, that was "immersive" , right at one of the game's most crucial scenes. I was really impressed by that one.
  3. You're suffering from save game bloat, another bug. Also, 2000 saves is really obssessive and unnecessary. You could try clearing out your saves folder and just keep a few recent saves, but 39 MB is really large , not sure if you can fix that at this stage. There is a mod that prevents this from happening but it won’t clean up your game save if it's alredy happened.
  4. This is such a huge amout of noise over working house mods, when there are other issues with the vanilla game that really need fixing, like the bugged quests.
  5. Agreed, where are the shooting stars???
  6. I think it would look SO much better, and obscure less of the view, if the player's arms aren’t visible unless a weapon or spell is actually being used. Or at least if they were much lower down in the screeen. I truly hate how we have the player's arms stretched forward holding the weapons/spells when in 1st person view. It looks incredibly dorky for a game as advanced as this, and I really do not need a constant reminder of what weapons I have equipped and whether they are drawn or not. Even worse, weapons or spells with glow effects (eg Dawnbreaker sword) can really be a problem seeing around in dark areas. Please somebody fix this and make the game look a lot better. I am computer literate but one look at the CK had me running away, knowing a bit about Bethesda buggery. cheers
  7. This is becoming a worrying pattern. Removing mods in this manner just craps on all the users... because most of us do not save the Nexus page containing the mod info, assuming we can get back to it to read up on how to uninstall the mod later. Now i have two mods that I want to remove but don't know how (they have no esp file), because the entire mod page has been wiped from the Nexus, gone without a trace.
  8. Hi, I am looking for All-In-One Spell Fixes and Silent Traders mods. I downloaded both from the Nexus , the former only quite recently. They have both vanished without a trace and I need to know the details of what they do so I know how to remove them. Thanks
  9. I can think of another reason, but removing mods lke this is a problem because I want to know how to unisntall this safely, if needed. I just realized another mod has disappeared, Silent Traders, which i installed a while ago. Now I want to remove it and don't know how! This is messing up people's games. Remove mods, ok, whatever, it's your site, but please leave the information up there!
  10. This very good and popular mod has disappeared from the Nexus. WHY? The link was http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=7823 Could we at least access the information on the mod details???? Please???
  11. Meeting Sheogorath and getting the Jabawack is one the game's highlights for me so far, and has revived my interest in continuing to the bitter end. No game with magic is good enough without realistic magic. It's also awesome to see saber cats and huge crabs appear to weigh about 1/100th of the weight you’d expect them to have. Hover-horses are also a nice touch, the attention to detail counts.
  12. You must enjoy Steam, you have to enjoy Steam. Repeat and Rinse.
