  1. Isn't it annoying or even infuriating to anyone that video game companies are throwing away the physical disks? Now it's all digital. Paradox hasn't released a single physical disk that I know of, and even Bethesda's Fallout 4 is just a download disk. Without physical copies, you can't just hand the game to a friend or loan it out or sell it when you're done with it, which means that others have to buy the digital version online if they want to play it. I think it's stupid since the digital copies seem to only have one pro: They're easier to buy than physical disks because you can do it on your computer quick and easy, and have the game downloaded within the hour. The physical disks are so much better, though. You can physically see how many games you have, you can share them with friends or resell them if you don't like them, you get the cool box art, and the physical disks are a thousand times easier to play on another computer because unlike the digital ones you don't have to download them all over again. I understand that indie developers and very small game companies can't afford to make their own physical disks, but bigger companies that can, should (in my opinion).
  2. Thanks a ton for all of the suggestions. I decided to get the GTX 970 because I was tired of waiting for a 1060, and it jusstt barely fit inside the computer. Turns out that even though the power supply shouldn't have worked, the DELL power supply seems to do a great job compensating. I'm able to play Fallout 4 on max settings, as well as other games that I wasn't able to play before. Thanks again.
  3. Thank you very much! I was actually thinking about getting the GTX 970, but I'll keep an eye out for the GTX1070 (not founders edition). This is the first time I've ever made any changes to the inside of my computer, so I was worried that I would buy a video card that wouldn't work with my motherboard, or some other part of my PC. Thank you, again, this is very helpful.
  4. Best subcategory to ask this on would be PC gaming, just above the Hardware and Software link. But I suppose you're right about mods being software. One good mod for combat that I think should be used by everyone is the Locational Damage Mod. It lets you configure how much damage you do depending on where you hit someone, and with what weapon (be it a bow, blade, or magic). Ultimate Combat is basically a revamp of the vanilla Skyrim combat. If you want your game to be really realistic, Realistic Damages makes everything do a realistic amount of damage, with even an iron dagger doing 53 damage. Definitely do not use if you are not that great at vanilla Skyrim combat. If you are going for a realistic playthrough, Scientifically Accurate Unrelenting Force makes the Fus Ro Dah shout scientifically accurate according to the modder's math. To give you a sense of how powerful it is, I once shouted three guards over Dragonsreach. As for immersion, there are a few mods on the nexus that make magic look very good, and I am pretty sure that your computer is more than capable of handling them. There is the Important Information Overhaul. It has a really bad description, but basically what it does is makes your vision blur from swinging a sword to much or running for too long, makes it go red when you're low on health, and makes your vision go black and white when your magica goes down. Enhanced Camera allows you to see your own body, arms legs and all, when you look down in first person view, and also includes many first-person animations for things such as working at a workbench, mining, chopping wood, mounting horses, etc. Those are just a few that you might enjoy. Sorry if they're not what you are looking for in mods, but I'm sure that you'll get way more suggestions on the PC gaming subcategory.
  5. I assume that by MO you mean Mod Organizer. If so, what issues are you having?
  6. I bought a Dell XPS 8900 computer a while ago (about a year ago) and since then I have played many grand strategy games (paradox games) that have worked very well on it. Just last month I bought Fallout 4, hoping to play it on this PC that has so far done very well. I started the game up, and right away I knew this was going to be bad. The graphics were auto-set to very low. I played the game and after the opening cutscene, the game ran at a silky-smooth 5 fps. After my eyes stopped bleeding I was able to exit the game. Turns out my video card sucks big ones, and I need an upgrade. I'm just stuck trying to figure out which graphics card is really good, under $400 preferably (but if it is THAT good then I could do $450 maybe), and will work with my current specs and such. I want to be able to run games like Fallout 4, Subnautica, and Battlefield (for when Battlefield 1 comes out). For my PC specs, I haven't touched the inside of my computer at all since I bought it, so it's the same as the one advertised here. Thank you very much. -OICU812B4
