I think it would be great if there was a postal service in the game, where instead of (fast) travelling to sell your loot you would be able to mail it to one of your houses. This would cost a bit of gold of course, depending on distance, weight and your speechcraft skill. There would be a post office in every major city, which sends out carriages to pick up mail from other cities, towns or villages. If a town is too small to have a post office, one of the other NPCs in the town would act as an agent for the postal service, accepting your goods and keeping them until a mail carriage comes around. The obvious ones would be the trader of the town if there is one or the barkeep at the local inn. Sending mail using an agent would be more expensive than using a post office. The mail carriages could be robbed, so they need to be well protected by a couple of imperial guards. Every house then also needs a mailbox, a simple container which will contain your stuff when the mail has arrived.
