  1. Activating workshop mode makes some customized settings revert to a designated low setting that fallout 4 has, and this has created a noticeable fps drop for me. I played around with vanilla fallout (no mods) and noticed view distance gets changed to a higher default settings (trees popping in, rocks, etc...) Tried to set the configs to read-only, didnt help. Did a refreshini but it did not work for me. I believe it is being affected by settings in falloutprefs.ini In falloutprefs.ini , I suspect these lines are being automatically modified to their lowest static values fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=2000.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=1000.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=2000.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=1000.0000 and possibly fBlockLevel0Distance=0.0000 fBlockLevel1Distance=0.0000 fBlockLevel2Distance=0.0000 fBlockMaximumDistance=10000.0000 fSplitDistanceMult=0.2500 fTreeLoadDistance=10000.0000 This happens in every workshop activation in every settlement. I noticed the problem goes away with exiting the entire fallout 4 program and restarting it. Confirmed that fast travels don't help me. Even over a long period of time, the settings persist. (resetting game cells etc...) I mainly test the problem with the Sanctuary workshop. facing the same direction of the workshop when activating it. FPS drops from 45ish, to 20ish on different resolutions (tested on 640x360, 800x450, 960x540) Not sure how I can keep it from changing, any suggestions? Is it only me? High end computers may not see this change or the difference will be a lot lower, however this is a problem for low end machines. While tesselation is a certain evil with the lighting, this is something that is changing the config settings in the game. I understand I could easily buy another laptop computer but this game is completely playable without this issue. Besides areas with excessive lighting, in the rest of the 90% of the game, i get 50-80 fps easily. To anyone who has encountered this issue, your input will be greatly appreciated. I am putting up my config files under FALLOUT4.INI FALLOUT4CUSTOM.INI FALLOUT4PREFS.INI FALLOUT4PREFS_CUSTOM.INI
  2. When you level up from 1 to 2. Based on the special points you selected, the mod will auto select a perk or special to level up and consume the point. (Optional) The mod can be modified to select ANY perk or special point from the tree, whether it is available through special points or not. I believe this can create some more replayability to the game and may have a psuedo challenge that isnt modified through increased damage taken or damage given. It will also force you to adapt to a certain playstyle if points land on (example: automatic weapons) Then of course, there are some points that we avoid because we can make choices that optimize a certain build. The aim is to break from the norm and adapt to the situation given to us. BONUS: A: I use a mod that changes the properties of perks and even switches certain locations. IF the mod can be made so it has very little conflicts with these sort of changes, that would be wonderful indeed. B: Some people use the "perks per level" plugin that runs through skse. Perhaps make it so all the remaining points are also randomized into the pool. I just crafted this idea in my head. Im not an implementer, but I really hope someone can put this idea to life!
