  1. I agree with Algabar. Just a ENB makes vanilla Skyrim look way better. Find a compatible weather mod if you want. Instructions in most cases will mention compatibility. You don't need a lot of expertise to install visual mods, you must always read the instructions given by the author very carefully, also read the posts and see what gamers experience when using mods. What I mostly do is stick to a group of authors that in my taste make great mods. Just to name a few: Skyking2020 ( Skyland), FrankFamily, Pfuscher, MystriousDawn, mathy79, Gamwich. Ofcourse learn to use your favorite mod manager. Don't get upset with gamers who have like 2000 mods, that requires expertise and a lot of time. I have 255 mods in my current walk-through, and it looks great. I will not mention how many times I had to start over because I screwed up. That is how you learn. side note: I was reading a post and came across this one: Skyrim is released in 2011, it has it's limitations.. Good luck and most of all have fun1
  2. Hi. Wonder if anyone bothered to change the sound of the crossbow. I don't like the loud metallic click sound. Scares the c@ap out of me while I'm sneaking going for a stealth kill, probably wakes up the whole bandit camp too. Thanks!
  3. Looks good, nice and clean, I am happy. Would be nice to have a mod tab with translated mods, they clutter up the originals.
  4. Same problem here. Found this topic because of it. Using NMM 0.70.9.
  5. I don't know if you will find LH mods anywhere else. I use mathy's 3d rocks and Authentic Mountains and Rocks by Mystirious Dawn which are superb rock textures in high resolution.
  6. No, all his mods are gone from nexus. Plenty good alternatives though. Check out modders like : Elsopa, FrankFamily, Gamwich, Halk Hogan, luxor8071, mathy79, Mystirious Dawn, to mention a few of the best.
  7. I have a home were I do all my smithing, alchemy etc (Autumn Haven). One chest is connected to all work stations. Very handy. I also keep my gathered quest weapons and armor there. Breezehome is my home for follower and children (Breezehome by Lupus). Leaf Rest is my.. vacation home with sauna, hot tub, music also some ledger work (trade). I have a base for hunting trips. Few others are stops while roaming the country. I return to every home I have depending on mood or play style that session. I seldom use the vanilla houses obtained by becoming jarl. Except Breezehome.
  8. I had no idea. Well dang, I am using like 10 textures with his name. Doesn't feel right. Going to look for alternatives. Thanks for the comments. I saw so many of this stuff in the world of Second Life. Closing this topic as far as I am concerned.
  9. Hey LupusHegemonia please come back to the community. Sc#w the haters.
  10. Your work is just fantastic. My favorite weapon of all time is the Valkyrja. Recently your retexture of Dawnguard and Thieve armor, instant favorite. Keep it up!
  11. I don't get why this false information continues to circulate. Steam most definitely needs to be online to load the game and attempting to load it through the SKSE loader will force the client to start up, at which point your update will commence whether you want it to or not. Maybe it's my choice of words and I should have added that Steam needs to be running first. ( I use the 'start with Windows' option in settings). Then launch the game using SKSE loader, if you have mods depending on SKSE. I keep reading that people try to run it offline, of course that is not the way to do it. Never my intention to spread false info.
  12. Go into steam, online, and click on the LIBRARY tab, then GAMES. Right-click on Skyrim SE and open PROPERTIES. Inside PROPERTIES, click the UPDATE tab and there's a drop down, where you can set Skyrim SE to update only when you launch it. I still play offline almost all the time, but if I should happen to go online, the game still won't update unless I launch it. I just did that, which reminded me about another thing I did earlier today. What I did was to set SSE to never update in the background and with this setting you mention SSE would probably never be updated, unless I really want to update SSE that is. Also, from what I understand launching SSE via the SKSE64 shortcut will disable Steam to update SSE. Is that correct? Yes launching via SKSE64 will not update SSE. Always make sure Steam runs before you launch (Steam can run minimalized when Windows starts up, or equivalent on Mac?). I had Steam not running and SKSE64 still launched the original SSE, my bad..
  13. Steam doesn't have to be offline if you use the SKSE launcher. Never run SkyrimSSE.exe (or whatever it's called) directly, if you set Steam to only update on game start you have no problem.
  14. These steps used to work, but the download command needs updating so it downloads the executable for SSE 1.5.39 instead of 1.5.3. I'm not personally smart enough to do this. EDIT: Whoops! Correct command for 1.5.39 is in a pervious post on the thread: download_depot 489830 489833 1298692161422189837 Still downloads to [...]steamapps/content/app_489830/depot_489833 Reports are (can't remember where, sorry) that if you can restore the SSE masterfiles and SkyrimSE.exe from File History or Previous Versions or whatever your version of Windows calls it, that's the best bet. Because of this update, I have now made absolutely sure my Skyrim folder is getting included in File History. You are right, this is a older version, you have to download the matching SKSE64 as well. I still run a older version SKSE64 and everything works fine.
  15. another fix. I used this one when the update hit me last year. Posted 08 November 2017 - 08:25 AM by cdredz. SKSE64 FIX Spread these steps! That's how you solve this nonsense. Show them! 1. Start by pressing win+R, and then pasting: steam://nav/console 2. A steam console should appear now, just paste the following line: download_depot 489830 489833 911281757511576655 3. The v1.5.3 exe will downloaded to [...]steamapps/content/app_489830/depot_489833 4. Just go to where the exe was downloaded and paste the old exe inside your root skyrim folder replacing the "new" one.
