  1. If you're looking to mod the game, this tutorial explains the basics: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/14/? . I personally haven't come across anything that deals with the necessary mechanics, but I haven't exactly looked for it specifically. Maybe you'll be the one to find it. If you have any questions about modding in more detail, feel free to send me a message, or post on the discussion thread of the tutorial I linked.
  2. As I have not seen any files dealing with such behavior decisions (yet), I have to say we will likely have to wait for such a mod. That said, it is completely possible someone will come across the controls, since the game is new and the files we have access to are only beginning to be "translated".
  3. I am actually looking at ways to break down named mutagens to their base counterparts. Unfortunately, the xml file the recipes are located in is fairly small (which restricts the amount of modifying one can do), and each monster mutagen is handled individually (which means I can't just write "any 3 mutagens" -> lesser mutagen). I will, of course, keep poking at things, and if I do figure out some solution, you can be sure that I'll include it in my mod. Thanks for the shout-out, by the way.
  4. Unfortunately, we have no way of messing with the UI at the moment, which is also why we can't add usable skill slots. We can technically add additional UI elements (such as skill slots), but they won't show up in-game.
  5. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/14 The above is a basic introduction to the current modding capabilities of The Witcher 3. Basically, we have to extract xml files, modify them, then reimport them to their respective bundles while maintaining file size. What you want to do sounds like it may be beyond the scope of the xml files, as it is difficult enough simply changing stats and item values at the moment. That being said, I've only messed around with the files in patch0, so you may very well find such changes are possible Good luck.
  6. Make sure that your modded file is the exact same size as the original. It has to be the same number of characters (including spaces) and lines, otherwise it may import correctly and not work in-game.
  7. Yes, you can mod any version of the game. You simply need to download quickbms and mess around with xml files. You can find a small tutorial on modding the xml files here: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/14 Just a note: There's also the option of buying from GOG.com, which would allow you the safety net of having a digital version without messing around with Steam.
