  1. But the whole point of the OP's effort is to make it so that one doesn't have to use multiple Fixpacks. So by definition it has to duplicate the work of all the other "partial" ones out there! That's A LOT of extra work. I had the impression he was going to concentrate only on gameplay bugs. Why fix the dialogue if we already have the best and only mod for it. That's up to him of course.
  2. So basically it'll be yet another incomplete fixpack? You could also try contacting _redruM_ and tinman06, creators of the Dragon Age Overhaul mod. I recall them mentioning a desire to completely substitute Combat Tweaks, which implies massive amount of bug fixing. And it just so happens that you already fixed quite a big load of bugs. I'm not their representative by any means, just giving an advice of a possible solution to releasing your Fixpack. SpaceAlex is finishing the new version of his Improved Atmosphere mod. You can try contacting him too. And yeah. compiling all the fixes from those numerous packs was very difficult and tedious. It's quite rare for a moddable game to have so many Fixpacks. I hope you don't rush it and manage to fix as many bugs as you can. On the other hand you can always release updates. Ouh and avoiding fixing same things as ZDF, Morrigan Restoration Project and Improved Atmosphere would save you a lot of time. Well, not quite sure about IA, but, as far as I know, ZDF and MRP have all dialogue bugs and anomalies fixed perfectly.
  3. I've found an original DaOrigins.exe of the same version as Steam's UE that works perfectly well with Steam after LAA patched using the Fallout 3 method. I can't provide the link but it's quite easy to find. You'll find all the needed information about that exe in the VirusTotal check I'm providing below. It is around 500kb smaller than the original Steam UE .exe, apparently due to the missing encryption, overlay features, etc. By the way, disable the Steam overlay for the game. Aside from getting less crashes it can prevent potential conflicts with the new .exe. I haven't extensively tested it yet, but at least I'm not crashing every second time I load my saved game. Hope that helps fellow Steamers. I have ALL of J3B textures and ALL of 4Aces textures (except the ones that already exist in J3B, of course) installed and I was CTDing in Ostagar like mad. So far everyting's ok with the patched executable. VirusTotal check - https://www.virustotal.com/file/428fdbf9b8adc4ca067746513425ef1492fd812d33ca0ecd570b069c557f8670/analysis/ Update: played for around 5-6 hours without a single CTD. LAA fix really works wonders with this game. The achievments work too, by the way.
  4. Thank you for your answer, Thandal! I suppose you are right about Improved Atmosphere, there's just too many conflicts with other mods and general complaints about the mod itself. The best course of action would be to delete the added materials and item changes and leave the "atmospheric" changes that can function separately. This will leave the majority of immersion features intact while ruling out the compatibility issues. Correct me if I'm wrong. Concerning the Qwinn's Unofficial Fixpack and DA Core Rules Fixpack. Afaik, the is no way to manually install Qwinn's Unofficial Fixpack as there is only the dazip file available. And judging by the amount of reported problems and game breaking issues (screwing Leliana romance in latest patch) why do you think it's still safe to use Qwinn's Unofficial Fixpack? Doesn't it also conflict with ZDF Dialog Fix Complete and Morrigan Restoration Patch? Also, what is your opinion on Just Another Fixpack by ovi187? Any reasons you don't use it along with those 2 you mentioned? Sorry if I'm being a pain in the ass =)
  5. I wondered whether there was a way to minimize compatibility issues while using Improved Atmosphere, Dragon Age Rules Fixpack and Just Another Fixpack. Is there a guide, perhaps on using all those 3 together? It'd be quite tedious to figure out every single potential problem and the description pages mention nothing on this regard. Maybe someone had an experience setting it all up or a working configuration they can share. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. Also, if the game uses the first file it found of 2 files with the same name that change the same thing why are conflicts even a problem? If, let's say, Improved Atmosphere has Ancient Elven Boots fix and seperate single Ancient Elven Boots fix is installed in override folder. Why does it matter which one gets used in the long run?
  6. Just a quick question here. What is the correct way to use Morrigan and Leliana Sacred Ashes Face Mod alongside Dragon Age Redesigned? For DA:O, I suppose, it's just not installing the companion files for Leliana and Morrigan and copying Sacred Ashes ones. But what about Leliana's Song DLC? There is no way not to install Leliana's new textures, cause only 1 .exe file is provided. Should I just overwrite the files with Sacred Ashes morphs after installing Redesigned? To cut the long story short, is it possible to use Redesigned but have Sacred Ashes Morrigan and Leliana at the same time without bugs?
