  1. Where The Streets Have No Name - U2 - Classic U2, before Bono became Bono.

Quote for truth. There's a whole lot I could say about that, but Vagrant0 said it all.

There is no greatest song ever of course, it's all subjective and comes down to favourites that move you. Too many for me to list though.

  2. Please do not post any spoilers in the discussion area of the forums. We have a section of the site specifically devoted to spoilers located here:

    http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showforum=284

What is a spoiler? Anything that reveals surprises and solutions in the game. These could be quest endings, secrets or easter eggs.

Discussions of the game ending are especially discouraged UNLESS adequate warning is put into the threads title.

Please be considerate towards other users. This is still a new game and not everyone wants to stumble across a thread that takes away all the fun of discovering stuff themselves.

    Thank you

  3. Odd story here

    I have Crowded Roads right?

Well i was walking along and i see a warrior in Pit armor

I go up and it says he is a Camonna Tong Thug

I was like O-o "I thought it was Morag Tong"

The Morag Tong is the imperial sanctioned assassins guild. Kind of like an order of bounty hunters. They actually have very little connection to the Camonna Tong. They were the original assassins guild, the Dark Brotherhood is a rebellious offshoot of the Morag Tong.

Whereas the DB will kill -anyone- for a price (basically murderers for hire) the Morag Tong only take out legally sanctioned "hits"

However, there are rumours of so called "grey" writs, where the Morag Tong has chosen to act outside of its usual sphere of honour.

  4. In Morrowind there were other criminal organisations besides the Thieves Guild. One of them was culturally exclusive, the Camonna Tong. Very powerful elitist organisation, much stronger than the Imperialist thieves guild (in Morrowind anyway, in Cyrodiil of course it would be a different story.) They were very conservative and resentful of foreigners. Their "godfather" so to speak, was Orvas Dren, the younger brother of Duke Vedam Dren.

I think a competition syndicate would be great. What I am against is having any ties to the real world italian 'mafia'. I just think it would be better to create a whole new crime family and leave the cosa nostra stuff in other games.

  5. And then when that Athram guy in the imperial city turns out to be a Mythic Dawn assassin, and tries to kill you, only to be cut down by a dozen guards, (seriously, why do the mythic dawn agents attack you on the street in broad daylight?) his wife treats you like nothing happened. She isn't resentful, or apologetic, or shocked, or anything.

She probably expected it. No doubt she reconciled herself to the fact that her husband was a suicidal maniac and tried to go about her life as best she could, counting down the days until he would snap and go bananas in the street.

In truth, she was probably more relieved than anything else that somebody had done what she'd been secretly praying for. Now she can be open with the romance that has blossomed between her and the beggar that sleeps in the gardens district.

  6. A mixed division of nords and orcs as well as other individuals to blend in and act as runners and spies. We would fortify our position to the north and run a kibbutz type labour community of fighters, farmers and smiths, living off the land and patrolling our borders for bandits and monsters. We would operate independantly from Imperial law (but not openly so) recognising the Empire, aiding it in need, but tending to our problems privately.

In secret we will be watching the council and preparing a coup should the now heirless empire dissolve into anarchy or the council become seeped in corruption. Our soldiers would be trained in seige, guerilla and city-fighting tactics. About 200 orcs and nords who are equal or just lower than my character (or any regular player character) would be able to easily hold out until we got word to similar cells in Solthseim and Orsinium.

  7. :wallbash: Hey guys Im having a little trubble you see im the lead in this play and you

have to make this selection of choices of what to say and I wrote down all of the answers that are right

but when I get to this point it says that it would be funny if said with sarcaism but I have picked all of the possible answers and I still cannot finish the play because this guy in the crowed keeps killing me and though im lvl 24 I can barley put a dent in him.

Click and drag your mouse on the black to read my reply.

That is the only way to finish the play. You are doing the right thing. That guy goes nuts over that line. As for him being so tough, well you are just going to have to get stronger first or use the console to kill him.

  8. This http://smuniversity.lolitacomplex.net/screennex.jpg is what I don't like about the change. The messed up parts. I also don't like the nav being on the right side... it seems more natural having it on the left, and to me, the nav bars should not be that intrusive. It doesn't have to be obscure to get to, but less in-your-face would be better.

NoScript browser plugin I presume. I'm obviously not going to make my site compatible with a browser plugin that blocks all ads on sites. Similarly you are running at 1024 width resolution which is going to make things cramped.

    That looks crazy! :D

I'm running IE7 and FireFox and that page loads fine for me. Perhaps it's time to update that software you're using and get rid of the pathetic lack of transparency on PNG images that IE6 has!

Likewise. Feel free to accuse me of being biased, but it's a fact that those screenshots and descriptions are seriously messed up. Site looks perfectly fine to me. I stick to the forums most of the time but I just had to see for myself after reading the last two posts above Robs.

  9. Well, people are still playing Morrowind and will do so for a long time and you are trying to help by contributing something new, so it's all good I think. :)

Threads like these were meant be expanded upon constantly anyway.

  10. Is there anything funnier than Stealing an Imperial Soldiers horse? Ok there is, but it still cracks me up. One of them was just returning to their ride after slaughtering a bandit when I decided to hop on go for a ride myself.

"HOW DARE YOU STEAL FROM ME!"

I switched the camera view to see the soldier running after me as I'm galloping, swinging his sword wildly at the horses butt.

  11. You can't steal his staffs, they are in a cabinet that is impossible to open, even with the console.

I'm pretty sure you can open every lock with the console command unlock.

I've unlocked chests that said they could not be picked because they needed a specific key, by using the console. Would attaching a script to an object be able to negate the command?

Of course, Pov offers an alternative solution as well.

  12. I was exploring a surprisingly deep cave the otherday, I think it's called Sideways Cavern, or at least something to that effect. Adoring fan was behind me, I tolerate his company as his suffering brings me joy.

Anyway, I exited a room into another cell and was walking around in water about 3 feet high, I pause and wonder "Where has that wood elf gotten to?" Adoring fan is nowhere to be found!

Suddenly I hear gasps of anguish and cries of pain, woodelf pain. I turn around just in time to see adoring fan float up, face down in the water, dead as ever.

Only adoring fan could drown in 3 feet of water.

  13. You people should tell me your favorite mods, so that I can download and enjoy them.

    Hi Eother

I think making a seperate thread and asking people to list their favourite mods would be a better idea. We are trying to keep this for requests exclusively.

    Thanks. ;)

  14. ....... i feel like im being ignored can u look at my post on page 12? see wat u think of it? ty if this 2 handed sword is made it would go quite nicely with this http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=496608

after all it is chinese style not far off japanese

You are not being ignored, at least not any more than the multitude of posters who have made requests and are waiting to see results. Nobody is obligated to create or comment on your mod, if you are lucky, then some kind person will. :)

  15. What! Just spotted this!!! Grrr...GRRRRRRRRR

Well, I won't delete the topic, but mentioning the HP thing is a lock/banworthy offence. ;) Any discussion relating to it must please be taken to the link provided. Thanks.

  16. I finished Voyage of the Dawn Treader and am now reading The Silver Chair. The 6th book in the Chronicles of Narnia.

I must say, C.S Lewis' writing gets better and better as the series progresses, there are lots of dark moments in his books, some truly frightening ones as well. Even for a horror fantatic like me and I just love fantasy and horror combined.

Also, while it is a kids book, he is not shy about the subject of death and many a seeminingly notable or innocent character have met an untimely and depressing end.

The Narnia books are on my list to read after seeing the movie last year. I read C.S. Lewis adult fantasy trilogy Out of the Silent Planet/Perelandra/That Hideous Strength many years ago and enjoyed those. Probably worth looking into if you have enjoyed Narnia.

    J. G. Ballard is an excellent , albeit often rather strange, writer in general although I haven't read Empire of the Sun but did thoroughly enjoy the movie. Another book on my to be read list. Also, seeing the movie may provide some insight into why many of Ballard's books are rather strange.

Good grief! What was with my spelling/grammar in that post of mine you quoted? I must have been multitasking. Thanks for the tip, after reading The Chronicles, I will definitely keep an eye out for that trilogy. It will be interesting to see how his writing style differs for an adult audience.
