Apparently my WiFi Adapter for my PC is the perpetrator.... that is kind of dumb because I randomly happened upon an article while i was searching for a new WiFi router... Screw you NETGEAR, that is all I'm going to say. Thank you guys for the help !

but it worked a few weeks ago, why would it stop working now? yes I have tried manually downloading and when I tried to extract the contents it gave me a corruption error. Also I tried downloading the smaller file from 2K textures (not complete package but seperately), and even if the download doesn't get interrupted at all, it still shows up as corrupted?

So I used Internet Explorer, and it gives me the same results. My download either gets stuck at 10%(Even though I can browse the internet fine) or it ends up corrupt. So far, it seems like RNG. I got SMIM to somehow work by downloading it over and over (I think about 10 times?), yet I still cannot get the 2K Textures to work. Crc check has failed, file is corrupted, download failed.... It used to work smooth but now its being pretty dumb. Any other suggestions guys..? I bought this rig only to try out some sweet graphical mods and now I feel like my hope for a sick modded Skyrim is gone.

Whenever I download a large file, (for instance, I downloaded SMIM and 2k HD Textures), I always get "File is corrupted" error in NMM and in WinRAR. How do I fix this? Also, why are the downloads so unstable? My chrome gets "Network Failure" 2 minutes into the download all the other times I download the mod. Is this just me?

I finally fixed it by deleting the Skyrim folder at Documents > My Games...after installing it freshly again. That makes no sense but still happy to see my Skyrim running without that horrid purple textures. Time to mod again!

I have a good setup... a GTX 1080 should overkill vanilla Skyrim even at 1440p. These are probably just texture loading failures.

So...I reinstalled Skyrim perhaps about 5 times over now, and I still get the same results. The textures won't load. It just won't. The vanilla game doesn't load the textures. It used to have literally no textures on the game, I could see purple human like figures walking around and can make out the buildings but that's it. Now it has some textures after downloading the official HD res texture pack... but not all of them. Can anyone help me fix this? Things I tried : Verify Integrity Cache (btw each time I do verify integrity cache, there always seem to be 1 missing file, literally every time. that normal?) This is VANILLA Skyrim, I have no mods installed whatsoever. Rig : GTX 1080 i7-6700k...Probably not VRAM failure.

So apparently v1.89 works but v1.91~4 doesn't install for me. That's weird. Anybody know how to update the mod then? Thanks for the suggestion @vinny

Hello, I recently got back into Skyrim modding after a couple weeks of hiatus and I was quite terrorized when I found out that I couldn't install certain mods. Right now, I'm trying to install the latest Static Mesh Improvement Mod, but it keeps giving me an error that says : "A problem occurred during install: Could not extract files! Message : File is corrupted. Data error has occured. The mod was not installed. Every other mod installs fine, it is just this one that keeps giving me the error. I tried : Redownloading.Downloading as manual and adding it as a mod in NMM.Disable every antivirus / firewall. Any other suggestions to fix this error? Thanks!
