Hey, I am working on a large mod that will add some more shout powers to the game. However every time i try to add the shout to my character nothing happens. I made new "words of power" to go with it, made my own spell int he "Noice Power" and then made the shout in the "Shout" category. I first but them as tomes but that didn't work. So then when i tried to console command them in, nothing. No matter what i try I can't get them to even show up. Do i need to use Papyrus or something to get it to add a new shout to the game? Any ideas would be nice. :cool:

Sadly I didn't have a saved previous version of the game as 1.4, but I did have a back up of the pre-patchs TESV.exe. But even when i replaced 1.5 with that one, I have the same problem.......WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wallbash:

I have a theory. When i was reading the patch description i saw this, " Fixed crash when loading saves that rely on data that is no longer being loaded."I think this might be the culprit.

Similar thing here. I played the other day and it was fine. Today it CTD if i wait or go into a building.

I have a theroy. I notice this when I looked at watch the patch was suposed to fix. " Fixed crash when loading saves that rely on data that is no longer being loaded." I think this might have something to do with it. I have had the message appear before, but it never crashed.....till now. :verymad:

Same problem with mine. I worked fine the other day, but now if I travel or try to go threw a door it CTD. I don't get it. I even went and deleted some of my mods, verified the game cache and other things but nothing works. Also what is SKSE?

I have been working on a mod that lets a small dragon gard and sleep in a outside cabin; He is non-aggressive. He has two point idle markers. One is for sleep the other one is the orbit and landing. So far my packages work EXCEPT when he orbits he is suuuuper slow, though i think that is because i made him the size of a wolf, and even i programmed him to orbit within a certain time from and land at another, he won't land it appears until he has done at least 1 orbit. 1.What do i need to do to override his orbit and make him land with out completing his orbit. 2. Is there anyway i can make him fly faster with out changing his size. 3.What is the exact functions of the inner and outer orbit, besides the obvious; just need to know how that factors in. P.S. He is unscripted and use altered default packages. Also the orbit is the sequence package that has orbit and wait simultaneous with a orbit time value of 60.00.

Perhaps instead of changing the interpolation you could just get rid of the dirt all together; just by selecting none. Also have you started another game since you tried it out?

Ok, for a day now i have been trying to create my own custom races; one of them is for a vampire mod which would rely on this to work. When i alter a existing race it's fine but when i do one from scratch or even work of a duplicate it won't work. 1st. When i make a duplicate then immediately click the full read window i get this error: FACEGEN: Could not find and apply race morph "woodElfRaceCOPY0000" in TRI file "Acotrs\Character\Character Assets\MaleHeadRaces.tri" for geometry Male Head IMF. 2ond: When i hit "Yes to all" it will only show the face but no body or anything. 3rd: even when i choose to make one from scratch and select the same files that work for the other races in the Body Data tab it still won't generate anything. Lastly: I have been able to find all of the files i see used in the Body Data EXCEPT 1..... it is the Body Texture file ending with the file exstention .EGT I have search through all my BSA's and resources but can't find that file type. I know it is possible to make a custom race, cause i have heard of people putting tails on orcs and shtuff, but nothing i do works. I have searched around on the internet but most things just tell you how to make a NPC, not a custom race. Could anyone tell me what i am doing wrong and/ if this is just Bethesda being them?

It would have been better if they just made a video showing how to make a mod to put up on Nexsus.

I had a feeling that the Steam Workshop was going to be to good to be true. There is no way modding a game is a simple as that; though i do like the concept of creators trying to make it easier for people to mod their games. I don't under stand why it just doesn't download the file manually and put it in your data file; or at least have the option. Not only that but the Nexsus MM is pretty easy already and does a lot of the same things that SW does; the only main difference it that you need to compress some files first, but hey 7z is free. If i did put up any mods it would be for exposer, but would still post it up on Nexus. From what i heard the reason why sometimes it doesn't download stuff is because it has a subscription cap which is 50. I think another reason why is because instead of just making the mods plugins, it turns them ALL into ESP's and sometimes both ESP & BSA. Another reason why they don't work is because unlike Oblivion, who was less plugin friendly and like BSA's and ESP"s better, Skyrim is the exact opposite; and for most mods you don't really need a ESP. I did read some where that if you re-set the game cache it fixes the problem. I have tried it but it only got 1/3 of the mods downloaded that i had selected. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120211165935AAp8XEc It really sucks cause there are some mods on there that look really cool but i can't download them and aren't on Nexsus. P.S. What does CTD stand for and I looked at the pictures and i love how there's really only one that is kinda noticeable. I mean it's a "M" game; tits's BAD, blood and violence OK.....AMERICA! I guess there had to be a Janet Jackson of SW.

I was afraid i just haven't come across it in game yet. When i asked my brother he said that he did fight a named Troll, but that it looked like a frost troll. I wonder why they didn't make it a separate troll race and give it's invisibility powers; as well as the skin which they already made?

While i was looking around at the troll skins in the CK i came across a odd skin name. When i clicked it, it turned the normal looking troll in to this green troll that was bigger and nastier. Upon further inspection it turns out this troll type was in previous games. I wonder if this will ever be enacted in further DLC or was just a left over that got left in the game data?

I have been trying to change the battle music, but i can't get it to work. :wallbash: First i tried the 7z thing were i just replace the XMW with WAV of the song with the same name, but it didn't not work. I also don't think i have a program that can open a XMW. What do i need to do to get it to play the songs i want? If i need something that can open and alter a XMW file what FREE program will let me do that? :unsure:

I have found out some new and promising information. Basically i have found hidden powers that were disabled for vampires; one of them being Vampiric strength. This will make it a lot easier to make the mod. I am going to let you in on a secret. I went and worked on my smithing so i could enturn work on my enchanting so i could get all the way up to 100 and put 5 in the fist enchanting perk. I went and made to accesories that cut the amount of magic need to cast destuction spells. I can now cast expert high level spells for none or like 19 points. Overall, Magica regeneration < then Spell Cost Reduction echantments. *looks at pictures more* HOW DID YOU GET THE GREY BEARD ROBES!? :blink: -

Well i am fairly new to modding. The only things i have done is Minecraft, a little bit in Oblivion and just changed the color of the mage robes in Skyrim. But i have been reading up and going threw the modding tutorials. Luckily since i am basing it of and just altering the vanilla vampirism that is already there; so that should help. The only part that was tedious was writing all of the dialog, and i still need to get it recorded. It would have course be nice if the CK was out!!!!! :wallbash:
