Probably would have some clipping issues though.
I can't find any stand alone mods that does what you are asking.

These forums have already beat the "Bethesda v Nexus et al" discussion to death. I see no need to address it again.
But the question about Steam is new (at least to me). Is Bethesda positioning itself to take control of the electronic delivery of their games to PC? Here is my tuppence.
- Releasing Fallout Shelter for PC via the Bethesda.net Launcher does not necessarily indicate a long term trend. Then again, it might. Every trend has to start someplace. We will just have to wait and see.
- Bethesda has a lot of games which have been delivered via Steam. If Bethesda is moving from Steam, what happens to those games. Will Bethesda continuing supporting those games there? Will they move them to the new distribution scheme? Or will support for those games be on both delivery schemes for a period time?
- Currently, a Bethesda.net account is required to use the Bethesda.net Launcher. If Bethesda is moving from Steam, the Bethesda.net requirement may (repeat 'may') be the replacement for the "social" community of Steam.
So my thinking is that if Bethesda is moving to control the electronic delivery of their games, Bethesda.net and the Bethesda.net Launcher are logical pre-positioning moves. Only time will tell if they truly moving in that direction.

If it's not some inclusion tags missing, like you said it wasn't, make sure you also check your Content Blocking preferences found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/games/users/tagpreferences/
There is no way to set a mod to private or something else to make it still accessible directly but not show up inside searches, other than Content Blocking preferences and Advanced Search options
Aha. Found that some content was indeed blocked in content blocking. Being a relative noob, I never knew those were there, so are there some defaults?

As for the other comment, I spent two hours using multiple combinations of 'tactical', 'marine', 'helmet', 'under', and 'far'.
The best I got was this.
So please supply your search arguments.
Never mind, you got the link from one of the various list of mods you downloaded or are tracking. I did a search using just the authors name (Vashdakkari) and got no hits. This mod has been locked or marked private.

I know I saw a mod which allowed the Tactical Marine Helmet to be worn under the Marine Assault Helmet. Unfortunately, I cannot find it again.

The time lapse at the Corvega Factory was actually helpful as it showed the movement patterns of the Raiders. I am now better prepared for my next "Kill the Raiders" quest.

I had a bunch of steel and aluminum and circuitry and plastic in my workshop to repair power armor.
Then I didn't have any.
After a run through Dunwich Excavations, I had two Abraxo Cleaner. I put them in the workshop upon returning to my favorite settlement.
After a walk around and through Libertalia, I returned to my favorite settlement and was storing the Junk when I noticed that my Abraxo Cleaner was gone.
So I started paying attention. I rounded up every tin can I could and scrapped them for the steel, which was stored in the workshop. I noted the number, 592. I then went and cleared Revere Station.
Upon returning to my favorite settlement, I checked. The steel was gone. All 592 had evaporated.
Is my experience unique?
