  1. *braces for inevitable flood of "HOW DO I USE CREATION KIT?!?!" threads*
  2. Thanks! The only thing I can foresee being annoying is having to bring up a dialogue with the horse to mount it.
  3. Haha, I'm pretty much the other way. I make a generic warrior/tank character to get my feet wet then inevitably make a rogue/thief. The play-style is just more immersive when you're forced to actually take notice of your surroundings and scout out a room rather than just running in with your shield up and hoping for the best. To the OP: Once you get the backstab (15% bonus) perk you'll end up using daggers over your bow, which I only break out for openers and dragons, since you can't backstab them. To help spread out points I ignore the right side of the archery tree; the crit bonus and the faster movement with bow drawn are pretty useless since you'll be sniping from stealth. As for light armor, I'm level ~40 and have yet to put a perk in it. If you're playing a rogue and you have a high armor skill that means you're getting hit a lot and doing something wrong. One way to get your skills up if you're having a hard time is to go hunting. Stalking wolves, bears, etc will provide sneak, archery, one handed, skill-ups easily plus the leather mats to skill up smithing or w/e.
  4. I, too, was disappointed when I was unable to make my red guard obese. I wanted to continue the story of my fat CJ from GTA:SA. http://i.imgur.com/oQsqp.jpg
  5. One of the biggest buzzkills in Skyrim is when you're out doing quests or exploring and a dragon rolls up. You proceed to murder his ass and loot dem bones and scales only to become over-encumbered and forced to stop what you're doing and go make space at your pad or sell your swag in a town. As a rogue I don't use companions/pack mules so pawning junk off on my horse would be a good alternative.
  6. Here's one idea to spice up the Thieve's Guild.
  7. I never played Oblivion so I can't really compare, but I'd like to add that the Imperial questline was also pretty disappointing from a rogue/thief point of few. The bulk of the quests revolve around taking forts, but the random spawn-in of enemies prevents you from taking the 'sneaky assassin' route; Instead of an immersive cat-and-mouse experience wherein you quietly and carefully dispose of an entire garrison of rebel soldiers you just end up tanking wave after wave of generic bad dudes. The one or two quests that even allow the player to take on the role of sole assassin, letting you tell your Imperial allies to "wait here, i'll take care of it", are ruined as they all inevitably rush in whenever you make your first stealth kill. There could have been so much more, and not simply stealing battle plans or assassinating couriers and enemy officers, but in-depth 'Apocalypse Now'-style espionage quests unique to the military storyline that couldn't be replicated from the Thieve's Guild or Dark Brotherhood.
  8. Perhaps one of Ingun Black-Briar's alchemy experiments takes an unexpected turn and Elgrim's Elixirs' proximity to the Riften sewers/waterway has an unintended consequence. http://i.imgur.com/NQi9g.jpg This mod practically writes itself. 1. They already live in a sewer. 2. Splinter... the Ratway... think about it. 3. TES already features anthropomorphic races, making this mod 100% lore and immersion friendly.
  9. The Nightingale armor has a cape and it's just a shoddy animation, making the "Capeless Nightingale" mod quite popular. Not to mention the clipping with the khajiit tails.
