  1. Thanks to all for the advice. It is a little sad to think that it won't take long and it won't take much to have the best items for my character's build and the anticipation and excitement that comes with of looting is starting to fade knowing that I won't be replacing my dragon armor (and there was 0 challenge in the path to getting the full dragon set, just a lot of iron daggers, therefore no real sense of accomplishment). Based on what most people are saying in some of the threads I've read, it seems inevitable that the game is going to be less fun in the second half of my leveling than the first... I grew up on Diablo and played some WoW last year and those games compared to this one in terms of loot and items, seems that the challenge and fun of improving your gear and working towards the best items was a little better with all the variety of items in those games. But I'm going to make an effort to stop thinking about the possibility of the game becoming less fun and I'll enjoy the game while it still is fun... After all, Skyrim has been good enough to make me forget about my other 19 games so far
  2. I guess I may just do that then. I want to enchant my own armor and I want to get the most out of things I disenchant. Question now is... what perks in the enchanting tree would I have to increase if I just want to get the maximum of the items I disenchant. i.e. if I am disenchanting my 25% 1h dmg gaunts, I want the 25% 1h dmg enchantment, nothing less
  3. As my skirmisher (1h warrior, light armor, archery, block, smithing) approached level 30, I decided it was time to powerlevel smithing to 100 and get that sexy Dragon Scale Armor a little bit early. There are a few things I neglected to consider before hand... because I just don't think ahead. Mostly that... I can make this armor set, but none of the pieces will have mods and I will be replacing a lot of things that have useful mods that you might even say I depend on But I figured, NO PROBLEM, I'll just disenchant my items with mods, and enchant my dragon armor with those mods! Genius! Then I disenchanted my gauntlets with a 25% 1h damage bonus and it became.... just over half of that at 13% So now I don't know what to do. I'm a warrior... I have plenty of perks that need attention, now I have to add perks to ENCHANTING? Those of you that have been in this situation... what did you do? Sacrifice several more points for enchanting? You lose A LOT when you put on gear without mods, and you WASTE it when you enchant them with weak ass enchants. Is there something I missed?
  4. Hi, There is so much involved in the skyrim game that there are things I'm learning as I go and I'm hoping I did not miss anything that would warrant me needing to restart my character because I really enjoy playing the 1H+Shield Nord Warrior :) Right now I'm level 9 and that isn't high but believe me, with the amount of free time I have, it would take a while to advance another character to lvl 9. A couple times I met with Amren the One Handed Weapon trainer in Whiterun and paid him for training, but until level 7 or 8, I didn't have quite enough gold to train for more than a couple ranks at each level. As I understand, at each level you can get training 5 times from a trainer in a skill My question is: How important is it to use the trainer for your primary attack at each level? How much do I LOSE in my 1 handed attack skill by not training at every level? And on another note, how difficult is it to pickpocket a trainer? My pickpocket skill is piss poor because I have been a good sumeritan for most of my time in Skyrim and that's probably another mistake I made, because I'm sure that is how a lot of you were able to afford training and other stuff... I tried 3 times to pickpocket 2000 gold that my trainer earned from me and failed each time even though no guards were around and i was undetected at the time. Skyrim Guru's where are you!! Please answer my questions. Thanks
