I think I may of updated once or twice. How do I fix this? I am on Windows 10

This has happened several times now and I'd like help finding the root cause. Like the title suggests I will have a nice smooth 60fps when I stop playing FNV. However, when I come back to play FNV several months later I have stutters and less frames. Why does this happen? My mods are listed below but there shouldn't be any problems. I do indeed have NVAC and New Vegas Tick Fix. Running on an i7 processor and 1080ti graphics card.... Dubious I gotta hand it to ya man. I'm a pretty casual mod user, I work a lot and I know enough about mods to install them. I often forget my load order when I do have the time to game again, and I make a big mess like I did here. But every time I post to these forums, you're usually here to save my skin. Good man. I did all the steps above and I'm unclear which one did it, but I have sound again. Appreciate you.

Ok so long story short since I spent too long trying to fix this and I'm going to get like 2 hours of sleep: I came back to my New Vegas and everything worked perfectly and I was happy. I decided I wanted to get the ODST armor mod but it required Project Nevada. I installed it and it worked perfectly fine. I closed the game to install another mod and when I went to go open my save file it would crash. I uninstalled the armor mod and Project Nevada but now I have no sound. No foot steps, no pip boy sounds, no stimpack sounds, no voice acting. Please help me fix the damage Project Nevada did to me. For some reason my cursor has FSM Alison selected but I have Diana 2.0 toggled. My companion didn't waltz into frame when I screen capped it, but I did as you said. I uninstalled the 4K face texture I even took off the Valkyr textures on her face (why not? I wanted the Natasha face texture anyways) And their faces aren't brown! Sometimes the solutions of the problems we spend hours working on is so simple that it doesn't even enter our minds. You suggested quite literally the one thing I had not tried and it worked. Very helpful and enthusiastic reply :D ! To be honest I am unsure of what I've done to fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch of times. Reinstalled EVB a ton and that didn't do anything. Reinstalled Unique NPCs a few times, didn't do much. Tried installing new texture mods didn't work. I reinstalled Unique NPCs again and when I loaded my quicksave (which is the screenshot) it had a body with underwear on it. So it seems fixed, but now I have an issue with another mod and I don't exactly wish to create another thread for it. I am trying to get this stunning preset to work. I have all the mods listed and I even tried taking the advice of taking the BSA file from the 4K face mod and extracting it into Vortex with it loading after LMCC and the 4K mod itself. Every time I open my save and type in 'slm 14' and change presets I get brown face and a CTD. I am currently trying to fix it with my limited knowledge and will edit it if I get it to work before a reply. Edit: I seem to be stuck in a loop of sorts. I load up my game and I now see my female companion has brownface and when I bring up the looksmenu to see if the preset works after tinkering with my load order or uninstalling and reinstalling I get brownface too. Nothing seems to be working. If you could help me conquer this vicious brownface bug that has plagued me and my companion that would be much appreciated

Hello, after getting fed up with all the adult oriented mods and spending hours upon hours trying to get them to work, I decided to just uninstall them all since I never even used them in the first place. However in my mass uninstallation, it would seem something got messed up with the male bodies. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Enhanced Vanilla Bodies and some textures mods for them but to NO avail. Can somebody please tell me the one thing I'm missing? Load order below

Ah yes my good man. This has done a dent in the load times. Not enough to be like "WOW!!" but it is noticeable

I'm just curious as I'm unsure if there is anyway I can speed up my load time. Every time I launch F4SE launcher, it takes like 3 minutes and my mouse turns into the 'program not responding' cursor (spinning circle) and after 3 minutes then I got like another 3 minutes of loading into my save. I already have the load accelerator installed and it helps, but with as many mods as I do, is there any hope? Load order in spoiler

Hello all, I'm trying to do one small thing here and I don't know how to do it. I want to take this face: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35602?tab=files and put it in a custom race. That way when I install this : https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62699?tab=description it doesn't apply to every NPC. The face is attached to the Caucasian race and I want it on something custom. Is this possible?

Trial and error somehow fixed it

Like title says I keep getting this error (attached to post) The original SKYUI I installed was the SKYUI- Show Armor Slots 5.7. After getting an annoying constant message that I needed to upgrade I did so. I uninstalled the old version and attempted to install the new one. I've manually scrubbed it out of my files and the error still occurs. I am unsure what to do. This is for Oldrim, not SE.

Validated files, launched into my clean save without the hair mod (character wearing vanilla hairstyle applied via "showbarbermenu") and my character is invisible and beneath the floor. Using the TCL command only allows me to go up, and swapping between 1st and 3rd person has no difference. Edit 2: Long story short, I'm new to NV modding. Very new. What I'm trying to do is take the hair from this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62744?tab=description and add it to this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35878?tab=files (as the author of Megaton hairs suggested). Problem is I just downloaded the geck and watch an installation tutorial. I have no idea how to use this. I'm in this situation because I have little free time and I didn't take the time needed to look at the hair mod I truly wanted. While getting all the grunt work done and installing my mods, I only installed Mikoto's bc another one suggested it. I never anticipated it being this big of a hassle. Simply clean saving and uninstalling doesn't work as upon loading the clean save, my character is invisible, and beneath the ground. I'm stuck with this mod until somebody can please help me. Final EDIT: I was able to talk to the Mod Author of Megaton hairs. He taught me how to add them to Mikoto's pack.

I tried that but upon entering my save (swapped to vanilla hair, then I saved and exited and uninstalled the old one) it's like my character is in the ground and invisible. Pulling up the pip-boy shows nothing, no pip boy at all. Trying to enter a console command is no good either. Edit: I just don't get it. I made a clean save, I followed the uninstall instructions, etc.....but it won't let me get rid of this mod! I have to work early tomorrow. I hope somebody can help me get to the bottom of this

Steam forced an update on me, and ever since I've been ripping my eyes out non-stop for a month. I had a nice set up, and honestly I'm not sure how much longer I can stand trying to fix it. I just want things to go back to how they were before Steam forced an update down my throat

Sorry for late reply, I have recently gotten a new job and work has been piling up from it. FO4EDIT loads my game successfully, I've updated my F4SE dependent mods, and I've updated F4SE. I'm still greeted with "Fallout 4 has stopped working" when I try to launch the F4SE shortcut. I've been trying to fix this off and on for around a month. My Fallout 4 has been broke and I just don't know how to fix it.

I did fix that but it still tells me the game stopped working. I also updated my F4SE dependent mods. :'( why won't this workkkkk

I loaded it into FO4Edit and this is what it told me. [00:11] Background Loader: Fatal: <EOSError: System Error. Code: 2.The system cannot find the file specified>[00:22] Background Loader: finished edit: i fixed that but my game doesn't launch still. I can copy and paste everything it told me into here if needed

Man idk what to do...I've done manual and auto but it still tells me that F4 don't work. I've already verified F4 on steam and reinstalled it and I had disabled all of my mods and the game ran. I have 200+ mods, but when I get around I'll check my F4SE dependent mods for updates.

I have also used the installer. :(
