  1. I've been re-reading George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series (AKA A Game of Thrones on HBO) while completing Skyrim the first time. With my next character, I wanted to model it based off of the many awesome ones in this series. I'm starting this thread to give and get ideas on how to set up PCs based on these novels. I'm going to give it a start with some of the obvious choices - feel free to add your own take on these or add new ones! I'll start with the easiest family to model from in Skyrim - the Starks. *************SPOILER ALERT!!!***********I'M BASING DISCUSSION USING ALL 5 OF THE NOVELS IN THE SERIES*************DON'T READ IF YOU ARE NOT THAT FAR************** STARKS - Obviously all of the houses in the North of Westeros fit in great with Skyrim - with the Starks being almost custom made for it. The base spell in Conjuration summons a wolf - booyah instant direwolf! Race - Nord Rebellion Side - Stormcloaks Ned - Focus on Two Handed (Greatsword - Ice) - not sure where else to go with him though since, well, you know.... Jon - Focus on Two Handed (Greatsword - Longclaw), secondary Archery, Conjuration - Summon Animal. Jon is great - just summon your direwolf before or at the start of any battle and whack away with longclaw. Jon used archery defending the Wall in ASoS with a lot of success, and took an arrow in the knee himself  Good candidate for a werewolf too. Rob - Can't recall his sword, but I see him as a more classic fighter with sword/shield and of course conjuring his direwolf. He never gets into warging himself so no werewolf for him. Arya - Stealth fighter with sword (Needle) and dagger if you focus on pre-faceless Arya. AFFC and ADWD Arya will obviously be modeled as an assassin. She only fights once with her direwolf Nymeria so not sure if you want to use the conjuration thing with her, although she would definitely be a candidate for a werewolf! Bran - Not much you can do with poor Bran, unless you warg him into Hodor and turn into a 7-foot Nord tool of destruction. Rickon - Again not a lot to go on fighting style wise but we do know he's probably the most wild of the bunch and is very close to Shaggydog. Could be a fun one to play. LANNISTERS - Ahh the Lannisters, gotta love them! Or what's left of them... Make a great fit for Imperials. Race - Imperials Rebellion Side - Empire Jamie "the Kingslayer" - He's really the only true fighter option for this family, unless you maybe pick Lancel (lol). Focus on One-Handed (ow that had to hurt) sword, secondary on shield (I added this one since I can see him casting stuff with a stump). He despises archers so definitely no bow for him if you play him strictly. Tyrion - Well they don't have dwarfs in Skyrim, and he has only fought a few times in the books, although with some success! Not sure where to go with him which is a pity b/c he's almost everyone's favorite char. That's all I got time for now, but there are a TON of other families/characters to go off of. I'll add more later!
