  1. "...and with that little rant, i can see that you are hideously entitled, and ungrateful and undeserving of any help at all, so i've aded you to my ignore list. i hope you find the help you deserve." --said by five year old Funny, that sounds pretty entitled to me.
  2. Okay, so I installed the .net version for my PC. I found out it was 4.62 or something. I already had it installed, so I assume it was corrupt and have reinstalled it. Something after 4.6. Now I have proceeded to uninstall Vortex, and will reinstall it right now.
  3. Thank you, Tannin42, at least I'm clear on the version of .Net I should be using now. Just in case it's corrupted all try reinstalling it. And 1ae0bfb8, I have a 64-bit build. Thank you, Rattledagger. BigBizkit, if I uninstall this version to install the new version, would that be the only way to completely reinstall it? Because I went to the Vortex page, redownloaded the latest version today and it immediately gave me file error and a .Net error.
  4. Thank you! I managed to fix it because I updated SkyUI within Vortex, but I just found out that when I click "Replace" Vortex has just been installing the new version and leaving the old version installed, so I uninstalled all old versions, including SkyUI, and all my map markers are working great now. Weird Vortex. UPDATE: Nevermind, Vortex removes both versions when I uninstall the old one from the little drop down menu on the version number. But now I can't reinstall it so I'm completely screwed, because now it's saying my .Net is damaged or outdated, BUT I can't do anything about it because every single version I download says it's not for my version of Windows.
  5. Well, that is good to know. Thank you for your help, both of you. lol
  6. Okay, your blindness is not my fault. I always sign in on my browser first, and then I open up Vortex and hit "SIGN IN." It's really quite clear. And then it loads up a little dialogue box where it brings me to the browser and I must click "AUTHORISE," and then Vortex comes back to the front, and simply exits the dialogue box, WITHOUT logging me in. I then repeat this process a few times, before a new option appears in said dialogue box called "Manual Login," I select that, and it says I must copy a "Vortex API Link" from the new Nexusmods.com link, and paste it into the box to login. And that's a quote: "VORTEX API LINK." Quite clearly. I'm not missing any spelling. I did NOT call it an "API link." Vortex called it an API Link. Perhaps I need someone actually familiar with Vortex to help me, because you're little fantasy about how this is solved is quite ignorant and quite unhelpful.
  7. I don't know what kind of tag I'm supposed to spit for this issue, but I can't install any mods in Vortex now without it saying there's an error some .node file within Vortex's folder within a Win32 folder. My plugins for Skyrim and all games is just completely missing. I can only select the "mods" tab, and this is all after Vortex's recent update. I use a Windows 8.1 Server 2012, and Vortex once asked me to update my Microsft .Net, but the latest version can and will never be released for my version of Windows, so if that's the problem, should I just give up now? I'm really tired of the problems with Vortex. It's made playing games period practically not worth the stress.
  8. Everytime I try to log back into Vortex now, I click "Authorise" over and over and over again only for it to finally send me to blooooody Vortex and kick off and say it timed out when my Internet is literally well over a Gigabyte per second, so I got "manual login", and that's where Vortex must be having a laugh, right? Because I copy the Vortex API and go to paste it, and guess what? Vortex doesn't allow right-clicking in that dialogue box, so I can't open a dialogue box to paste the API. It doesn't automatically grab it, but it sure doesn't say anything but "paste" the link, so after about an hour, it finally logs in, but not by my hand. It logs in BY ITSELF, just wayyyyyyyy later. So, what's going on here? And before you lost the plot over it, don't get me wrong, I love Vortex. As I tried it out, I thought about proposing, but it is a proper application, and it's ample improvement from NMM.
  9. Vortex keeps telling me the Interesting NPC patch for Hearthfires and Dawnguard are redundant. Should I uninstall? I mean I couldn't loot any vampires at all without a CTD (Better Vampires installed fyi) and when I uninstalled the Dawnguard Meshes Patch located on iNPCs files section, I could loot vampires again. Hmm. Maybe it has to do Bodyslide? No, it doesn't build the mesh unless you say so, right? And how would that affect the inventory? Even the vanilla outfits bodyslide files don't affect that. Basically, can someone tell me if these are needed anymore?
  10. So I've been playing Skyrim since it came out, and I've always had to deal with quest markers glitching out and flying all over the map sending me on wild goose chases. It's always bothered me that this topic is NEVER addressed, and whenever I search it online, I am lead to topics where people comment, "That happens to me to. It sucks." Like, really? Is there really no way to stop this. And now it's getting worse. I just set up Skyrim with Vortex. As soon as I start a new game, literally EVERY SINGLE QUEST MARKER IS POINTING TO THE WRONG LOCATION. My neighbor uses a PS3 with vanilla Skyrim and says it's normal for Misc. Quests. SERIOUSLY, NEXUS, where are you with this??? Whatever fix you have, it must be THE MOST hushed mod in Nexus history.
  11. Why isn't this mod made and displayed yet? Back in the days of the Legendary Edition's final releases modders were getting **** done! Now it's like...whatever.
